Great Budget Graphics Card!

Pros:
-Affordable
-Not too loud
-Runs most newer games at medium to high settings at 60+ Frames Per Second
-Good for photo/video editing
-2GB of vRAM
-I've had this card for almost a year now and I'm very pleased with it.
Cons:
-Since this card is so cheap (I bought mine when they were $170), you can't expect it to run all the newer games and programs at maximum settings. However, you will be able to run most games at medium to high settings without a problem.
Other Thoughts:
-I have the Corsair Carbide 300R case with 7 fans. The EVGA 550 Ti idles at around 30C-35C and after playing a game at max settings (Assassin's Creed 2, CoD4, CoD Black Ops, etc.) the temperature increases to around 60C, which is normal, and the games do not lag.
-If you're not on a limited budget and/or you can wait, save up and buy a better, more expensive graphics card like the 560 Ti or higher models. (Although the 560 Ti only has 1GB of vRAM, it is still better than the 2GB of vRAM on the 550 Ti)
-I upgraded my computer's power supply to the Thermaltake 850W Black Widow from BestBuy for $130 and I'm thinking of upgrading my motherboard so I can buy another one of these 2GB EVGA 550 Ti's and run two of them in SLI for a total of 4GB of vRAM.

Overall me and my boyfriend have been very impressed with our video cards. He is using an older Q6700 Intel Quad-core, I have a newer I-5. This card worked perfectly fine the day we bought it, in fact it worked so well that we purchased a second one within a month for my boyfriends machine.
Posted and tested fine, if you end up having performance issues look at your mainboard, CPU or thermal load. This video card packs enough punch to out perform most systems 2 or 3 years old.

Not as good as I expected. Runs FarCry 2 on max, Battlefield 2 Bad Company on Medium, Battlestorm on High. Bought mainly to run Rage, it is an improvement over the nVidia GeForce GTX 450, but, not by much. GTX 450 benchmarked on Rage at a 4, the GeForce GTX 550 Ti benchmarks at a 7, on a scale of 1 to 100. If you want a serious gamecard, buy something else. If you want a decent entry level card, buy this, it will do until you can afford to upgrade.
