Ugh, how to lead into this. Well, its fast. There is that. The GPU out of the box performs very well, and as an upgrade to a GTX 1080, its great. I play at 3440x1440 and in VR, and honestly this card feel just right for this resolution. Problem is, I have had a 1080ti before. This feels just like a 1080ti. The other problem with that, is the 1080ti is cheaper at the moment. If you're a value minded consumer, this isn't the GPU for you yet. I say yet because there is untapped potential in these cards. First, there is the DLSS and RTX capabilities that we are simply waiting to be released. I don't expect anyone to buy on hopes, so I wouldn't recommend this card simply based on that. Nvidia has given us no reason to believe these will be competent cards in that regard, so don't believe they are. Secondly, drivers. If this was pascal (10 series) I wouldn't recommend waiting on drivers to improve performance, but they aren't. This isn't simply a rehash of Nvidias gaming arch of old, this is a pretty fresh arch. I could dive into the techincals of it, but I'll save that for elsewhere. But know that there are new cores in here running alongside the old cores that do things the other archs couldn't. It takes time to optimize these, and thats what happening. How much, I don't know. That said, I don't recommend buying on hope. Now, if 1080ti performance is enough for you for a few dollars extra with the hope of better performance later and all the eye candy that comes with ray tracing, or the increased performance with DLSS (at a minor visual hit), then this is the card for you (unless you have 2080ti money). If not, don't buy it. Find yourself a 1080ti thats priced decently, and go with that. It has more raw performance, more memory, and steady drivers.

Without being overly lengthy here, this card does a really good job at what it's supposed to. This is a good mid-borderline high performing card performing card at 4k but I feel that it's better suited for high fps at 1440p. While this can run in 4k, hitting 60 fps regularly is a bit of an issue. (look for the 2080ti if that's what you're in need of) Overall this a good card.

Compared to my 1080 TI, its not much of an improvement. Ray Tracing is just not worth it yet. Price to performance is horrible price should be closer to that of the 1080. Price is just over doing it.

I've had this for a few years and it's been fantastic!

The GPU is perfect. But 2 weeks after buying it, they had a deal if you got this card, you get a free Call of Duty modern warfare. I called to see if they can hook it up, cause i got the same card 2 weeks before. they said no. that's annoying. 2 stars for service. but 5 stars for GPU.
