It works, adequate power

For the price, not bad. Don't expect to be able to overclock your system with this power supply. Cannot produce enough power for any stable overclock. For everyday use and light gaming it works fine.

Worked under basic loads. When I installed a 5700XT 180W to 200W, the power supply started to reboot my pc. It happened several times. Returned and bought a better PSU.

Don't buy-doesn't come with 8pin connector for CPU. You have to go thru the headace to buy a 4-pin to 8-pin adaptor in order to make your newer motherboard to work.

I wish I had realized there are nicer ones out there. Definitely go for something better than this when custom building your tower. It works fine/

Where's the 49A +12V?

This power supply was returned defective due to lack of enough +12V amperage to fully power my minimal system. Outervision said the system needed 25A of +12V including my old GTX660Ti, and this psu was rated for 49A. Without the gpu the system ran fine. With the gpu it wouldn't even boot 90% of the time. I suspected the 12V gpu connection wasn't putting enough power through the two 6 pin connectors. And EVGA themselves were a bear to work with. I simply returned it within BB's return policy.

Smoke Came Out Of Power Supply But It Still Works

Smoke came out of the power supply after 2 months of usage.
On one night, 1 minute after I turned on the computer, it powered off suddenly. I opened my computer case and saw that white smoke came out of the power supply. Then I tried to turn on my computer again, the computer was able to be turned on and working.
Even though it's still working. I still need to file a warranty claim to get a replacement to prevent further issues.

I bought this psu because of the steep
incline of psu prices. It’s good but you should buy something that’s at least 80 plus bronze.

Worked well, but one power surge killed it.

I ended up having to replace this within two weeks after buying it when a single power surge fried it. It's on a surge protector so that shouldn't have hurt it, but for whatever reason it did. This is not the first EVGA power supply I have purchased, because it generally is a good name, but I've had a hand full fail on me now. I replaced this with a higher power, cheaper Thermaltake power supply, and so far haven't had an issue with it.

Good Price; Low Quality

This is just a so so power supply, but at a very low price. I don't think that it puts out power cleanly. I had many frustrating Windows BSOD. Strangely they would happen at random and not under high load. I replaced this EVGA with a slightly more powerful, much more expensive, 650 watt power supply which is claimed to have only quality Japanese capacitors. My BSODs are no more.

owned it for no less then 3 months. Did a complete build so needed something with a little more power. Installed the PSU. Worked fine for a awhile then started to notice power fails when I started the computer, am talking about with in 5 sec of loading. Only when it cooled down to room temp. it would fail. After the failed startup. I would reboot then everything be fine after that. Only after it is cooled down from being turned off for more then 1 hour would I have the issues. I googled this problem. and first I know for a fact my CPU, is not over heating. Since am using a LCS on it. With a large cooling deck. So I want back to the drawing board. Replaced the PSU with a 450w one I used to start the build. Guess what no power fails, or any of the issues I have had before. I say BUYER BE AWERE IT IS TRASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased this power supply for my son's gaming PC, the computer was randomly turning off and rebooting by itself.
I contacted EVGA for warranty and i am still waiting for them to respond.
my advice to you is, as soon as you start experiencing problems like this, exchange it for another one. otherwise you going to have to wait for the snail mail exchange.
