If you're running an office computer, it will probably be fine. However, I was trying to make a gaming computer. I was running an AMD R9 390 and I was having issues with the computer turning off randomly when it started getting taxed. Then I upgraded to an AMD 5700xt and the issues became much worse. It wasn't until I upgraded to an 80+ Gold power supply that my issues all went away. TL;DR Don't go cheap on your power supply by getting this. GET A GREAT POWER SUPPLY!

I assume it was asleep but no it was completely turned off . did a lot of stuff check why it isnt turning on and didnt find any . next thing i see or when i was taking out the power supply . it was leaking something . so then i knew it was bad already and was hoping it didnt mess with my other components

    Buy a better, modular PSU

I cannot recommend this power supply because the 24-pin connector simply will not clip onto the socket. Since it is not modular (all of the wires are connected) I cannot even simply use a different cord. I looked up this issue and apparently it's common on these lower-end 500 to 600 watt PSUs from a variety of brands. Some people with these issues have managed to get their connectors to click in but only after taking out the motherboard and pushing with extreme force, something I don't intend to do with the PC I'm working on. I would recommend getting a better unit and a cord for the 24-pin connector that will certainly fit your motherboard!

Try to avoid this psu. It's cheap and totally non-modular. Does not have a goid variety of power cables.

Failed in less than a week

Worked perfectly for 5 days. Then came a sudden, spontaneous power down/reboot during normal activity. Thought it was a split second power outage, but sadly it was this power supply. The BIOS warned that power supply surge was prevented. My previous Antec power supply never did that a single time in 3 years. I contacted EVGA support and they suggested I swap power supplies and verify it is the new power supply. Duh, so I put back the Antec and no issues. EVGA power supply returned to Best Buy for refund. Problem solved.

BAD PRODUCT -10 / 5 STARS! 2 in 4 days! My old one couldn't hold up to playing games (MINECRAFT) so Happy 39th B-day 2 me I got to get a 600 watt for my birthday. IT'S A TRAP! The very next day it blew and I was beyond upset at getting blamed for not taking proper care of my pc until 6 months later we walk in and the darn things are half off. He's still stewing, but I'm contacting EV3A! Ridiculous.

I got this on sale, and it provides power, however the fan seems to run full speed all of the time, and is by far the loudest component in the computer now.

I installed this in my sons computer and had no power. Took it to get a diagnostic to see what was wrong. The brand new power supply was faulty. Could not get a replacement as the 15 days had gone by. Very upset as this was a manufacturing issue and not a user error.

Bought June 29th and has died August 3rd. I read all the bad reviews and thought maybe they're exaggerating. Nope my psu kept turning my pc off randomly. I put in another I had lying around and no problems. Avoid this at all cost. I wish I had listened but at the time it was $34. Lesson learned.

Killed my PC motherboard and maybe CPU? PC worked fine before I installed this PSU; after installation it was unstable and now will not post. Luckily, everything else (ram, ssd, add on cards) survived and hopefully are not damaged. Perhaps I got a bad unit, but at this price? You get what you pay for

Used for small new build. After 3 months the PC wouldn't boot anymore. Checked this PSU out with a tester and sure enough, it had given up the ghost. Lesson learned - don't skimp out on power supplies. Threw a new unit in and the PC booted up and luckily no other components were affected. Beware of "deal of the week" I suppose.
