Do not buy this power supply! It dies after 2 years. I have numerous older power supplies that last 10+ years. Do not waste your money.

Hope it didn’t burn anything else out. Had the build done for three weeks and it’s dead. Do not recommend this product.

    My favorite budget PSU

I can't say enough good things about this PSU. I've had probably 4 of them in rigs I've owned, and another 10 in rigs I've built. I haven't once had a problem with it powering pretty much any non-sli rig. I've seen some 12v v-droop on a dual 6850 system under furmark and CPU burner at the same time, but that's a pretty extreme scenario. I've run this PSU effectively with a ryzen 1700 and 1080ti (replaced a Thermaltake 850w with too much ripple causing ram issues and has outperformed that unit), ryzen 2600 OC'd at 4.1 and a serious Vega 56 undervolt/overclock with absolutely no problems (pulling 480w at the wall give or take). This thing barely gets hot. I trust this PSU with my home server, which runs 24/7. Even though this is EVGA's budget, and I'm certain my EVGA G3 in my main rig is of higher quality, I can't say I notice on a day to day basis and would have probably just used this if I hadn't overclocked my 7820x. Best part is this PSU is on sale all the time. If you're putting together a budget rig, look no further.

    Works Well for the Price

Bought this on sale for $31 total. It's currently running an i5 6500 and an R9280X inside a Fractal Design Define R4 case with no issues. It's a very quiet PSU and I'm assuming the OEM is HEC like the 430W and 500W models in this line. I'll probably replace it after the 3 year warranty is up but not before then unless it bites the dust. Fan is very quiet. I'd recommend this PSU more for smaller builds as the cords are on the shorter side, but they'll do the job in a Mid ATX case that has sufficient cable management holes like mine does. I was surprised at how easy this PSU was to install despite it being non-modular. Included cable sleeving is just OK, but it's fine considering the price I paid. This one is probably Tier 3 like the others in its line as per JonnyGuru, etc. Recommended overall for budget to mid-tier builds. If you're an enthusiast or going all-out on your first build, please skip this and spend a little more for a longer-lasting unit.
