Not my cup of tea. The movie didn't make sense and was too bloody

avid, his drug-using sister Mia and his friends Eric, Olivia and Natalie travel to an isolated cabin that belonged to his parents to spend a couple of days together. Mia promises to stop using drugs and Olivia, who is a nurse, promises to help Mia in her abstinence. They discover a hidden basement with witchcraft and the Book of the Dead, and Eric reads it and unintentionally summons an evil force. Mia, Olivia and Natalie are possessed by evil and Eric reads the book trying to learn how to destroy the demon.

Decent remake of the original. Had the right amount of gore and a good story. Only real negative is the lack of an interesting or entertaining lead like Bruce Campbell was as Ash. All of the kids are your standard horror movie fodder and you end of rooting for their demise and not their survival.

This is one of my favorite movies. Some people dislike it because of how it differentiates from the original but that was the purpose of it, to start a new franchise of it, therefore separating it from the original. Fun for the whole family, that is if you are into having your life scared. I give it a 9 out of 10.

If you love the original, this is absolutely worth watching. As far as remakes go this is one of the few good ones. It pays homage to the original while still feeling like something fresh (and terrifying)

The new Evil Dead is one the better recent horror remakes.With a return to the scares of the original film over the slapstick comedy of Evil Dead 2 and Army Of Darkness,we get a gory horror film that acts as a nice companion to the very first Evil Dead.

This definitely does not come anywhere close to matching the feel and atmosphere of the first Evil Dead, but it is a worthy addition to the series. Entertaining, and is gorgeous on blu-ray.

I have seen the movie more times than I can count since it came out in theaters. I'm confused as to why this is not in store anymore and you are forced to have it shipped, but whatever. Buy it. Buy it right this instance, for momma.

It honestly doesn't compare to the original 2 films, but it's a good watch.

This movie is very scary, very gory as well and pretty decent. The story is very creative and the scenes were very life like.

Way gorier (and different) than the original Evil Dead. Horror fans will be pleased!
