Evolve has been on my radar since it was bought up by 2K after THQ went bankrupt. 2K paid big money for the game and it's dev, Turtle Rock Studios, and that money was well spent. Evolve proves to be one of the best and most balanced multiplayer games I've ever played. The basic game mode is four hunters chasing and trying to kill one monster before it can evolve enough to kill them. This creates a fantastic game of cat and mouse that we haven't seen in a game before. There are four classes and each one feels increibly unique and useful. Each of these four classes has three hunters you can unlock inside of it, so there's plenty to play toward. The one things this game lacks is a wide variety of things to do (which is why I didn't give it a five star rating). Hunt is the basic gamemode, and the other two just feel tacked on. their all good, but lack anything to make themselves feel different. On the brightside, every match of Evolve feels unique. the dynamic from pairing together various monsters and hunters on each map keeps things feeling fresh every round. Bottom line: If you're looking for a great multiplayer game to play with your firends, Evolve is for you. It's incredibly balanced, very compettive, and a ton of fun.

I was really excited for this game, but once a few friends and I started playing, we realized it didn't offer anything too unique or revolutionary. The gameplay itself is still and entertaining, but the promo material that lead up to it's release would've had you thinking the game would somehow change your gaming life (hint: probably not). Ultimately, the game is still a good time, just maybe not for it's current full retail price.

Love the game and the concept. Controls take a bit to get used to but overall a great new game with the twist of being able to play as the main monster.

If you have played the Left 4 Dead series before, then I would highly recommend getting this game. Evolve is from the same developers as the Left 4 Dead series, and they have achieved the next level in co-op gaming. Actually, this game really feels like two separate games. One side is being part of a team of hunters and achieving the satisfaction of tracking down the monster and killing it. The other side is playing as the monster, which can really get your heart pounding if you have a good team of hunters going after you. One downside I will say is at the beginning you will probably loose most of your matches while playing online. So that can be discouraging. Especially if you play as a hunter and other members of your team don't know how to play their roles. It's easier to win early on as the monster because you only have to depend on your own skill. But if you keep at it, you can have one of the best gaming experiences out there regardless of being a hunter or monster. It's hard trying to describe in words how great this game CAN be. So if you're on the fence, look up some gameplay videos.

The game is just beautiful. I just started playing it and I am very impressed. Game play is very smooth although sometimes camera angles are tricky especially if you are playing as the monster. Overall, it's a great game but you will need a powerful rig to really enjoy it on PC

This is a fun game from two points of view. To be honest I haven't gotten though it yet so can't review completely but the graphics and world are pretty cool as is the story lie.

Game is decent - so is the multiplayer - but I do feel like it is lacking in some areas. Also there shear amount of DLC available is very very overwhelming. I feel like I paid $60 only for 3/4 of a game. Se La Vi

You would probably enjoy this game if you liked the left 4 dead series. Similar team based gameplay, but with a huge boss instead of hordes of monsters. Even better when playing with a group of friends.

An interesting game. There is a lot of variation in the game play. You can even choose to be the Hunters or the Monster. Each has it's own special things to use and things to earn.

Very good game, lots of fun. Runs perfect on my pc. Rather short and shallow but worth a play.

I'm enjoying Evolve quite a bit. Fans of Left 4 Dead will love it, and feel almost right at home. It's a lot like the last map of a L4D game, just in a much, much bigger setting. The game feels pretty streamlined; quick to get into matches, and little downtime between them, so you can pick it up and play for 15 minutes, or hours if you choose to. I do feel like $60 is a bit high, though, considering it's really just a multiplayer game (the solo/single player game is just the multiplayer game with bots.)

I really do enjoy this game. It may get slow at times, but if you can get it for a good price, it's well worth it.

After playing for 3 months I can say that this game is awsome, the graphics and online play mode are the best.

Well I don't really have much to say, the game had potential, great concepts, fun game play. But some how it just seems somethings were missing and came out short. Like many would say " you can't satisfied everyone" in this case I am that one.

Didn't realize it was free-to-play now on-line before I bought it. However, have some perks available from retail install not available on free-to-play. Kind of bummed there's no single player mode, but is fun to be monster all the time and defeat the other players.

I purchased this as a father's day gift for my gamer husband. He likes PC games. I am glad I got this game as he was totally excited. He's been playing it and has complimented my game choice. It seems to be a winner.

Lot of hate has surrounded this game because of all the overpriced DLC. The game is not pay to win and you are not required to buy any of it. I really enjoy it but do think it's a tad over priced for what you get. I say if you can get it on sale you should go for it.
