Typical for the series, had fun with it, but controls were terrible, imo. Stuck with preset contoller configs, and they are hard to get used especially if coming from other fps games that use a standard layout. Also had some instances of graphics lagging in heavy fire fights/action during gameplay. Story was fun, and pace was good. The effect the is known for scaring the hell out of you is still also. I would rather play this on PC tho.

What a horrible waste of a good idea. This game could have been great but it was plagued with muddy and faded graphics, horrible physics, bad AI and the worst grenade and gunfire effects I have ever seen. At the end of the game I felt like I totally wasted my time. I would have rather played a PS2 game instead. Trading it in and writing off this series. For a real gamer there are too many great games out to bother with this atrocity.

OMG, I don't play video games that much, careless what people think of them. However, this is going to be consider as the greatest game of all time!! Someone told me legendary director John Carpenter will be writing the story, he made all those Halloween movies that still scare me. So you know this will be the scariest game of all time better than anything came before it. :)

Remove Elizabeth review from the reviews because talking about a game befoer it comes out just screams advertisement. Now for a true review great game have played it for many hours. Been playing it on "Hard" and am enjoying most of it. The scoring system for doing certain things in the levels can help with replay value. Overall some people say it is short but with Single player, Co-op offline storymode, and Multiplayer there is more 4 hours of gameplay in this game.

Finally another offline co-op game to play with your friends. This game sums up the best of co op and it is awesome. Highly recommend this to anyone looking to play a game with a buddy in the same room.

Overall, rent it. beat it. return it. don't waste 60 bucks.
