This game is hard at first, you have to get used to controlling the car. I spun out many times before turning a good lap. I wish the career was a little more interactive.

    Best F1 Game ever

Wow, First to enjoy the full simulation aspect of the game one needs to invest in a steering wheel with force feedback. Then you experience the true game at it's fullest (that goes for any racing game). If I had to complain about one thing its for some reason the rain doesn't hit the visor. That was one of the nice realistic challenges F1 Champion Edition offered (2006). I guess I had to be picky about it to find something wrong with this game. Other than that I have been playing it non-stop. So far the best racing game out there. Better watch out GT5.

I went to Best Buy to purchase GT5 and saw F1 2010 as I was walking to the register, so I bought it too. I'm a huge Formula 1 fan, so I was excited to play this game. F1 2010 is so much fun! The graphics are great, but probably not as good as GT5. But graphics are not as important to me as the racing is. You can adjust the length of the races, difficulty of your opponents, car set ups, tires choice, etc. I am currently playing on the easy setting, so the braking and shifting is left up to the computer, but I'm sure you are given more responsibility as you move up in difficulty. The only thing I've found that I don't like is how the penalties are issued by the officials. Instead of being given a drive through penalty, the stewards give you a time penalty at the end of the race. So, you could finish the race in first place, but come in 9th place after the time is added.

Been waiting for a new F1 game since my last which was F1 Championship Edition (2006 season). I just picked the game from Best Buy today (I may have been the first one to have it in our city because it was not even on display yet (they had to check storage if it came in)), took it home and I was not at all disappointed. The game's AI is great with a great career mode that starts you out with the 3 new (and slowest) teams. The graphics are great and you can make the game as easy or as hard as you want. The only thing I could not figure out is that I could not set my controller to work as it did with my F1 CE version where all I had to do was to move the controller to control the car. Needless to say that trying to race an F1 driving simulator with the controller's buttons took the wind out off my sail. Maybe it's just me but I just could not find where to change the setting to enable sixaxis action. There is a setting for force feedback but it is locked for some reason. If anyone out there could figure this out, please let me know. This is why I only gave customization a good rating.

Best F1 sim for the PS3 yet

This is a fantastic game. The racing experience is really good and handling the car without aids is a real challenge. I especially like the idea of custom setups. The only problem I see is the AI difficulty. Once you master the circuit you can easily beat the AI by more than a second per lap.

So happy to see there is FINALLY a new version of F1. The graphics are GREAT. Game play is very difficult but this is F1 not NASCAR so you should plan on it being more difficult then turning left all the time while never getting off the gas. Once you get the hang of the controls and the car it is a REALLY fun driving game.

Doesn't work well with PS3 gamepad.

I bought this game hoping it would work well with my PS3 gamepad but there's really no way to set it up right. You need to use a wheel for this game to be any fun and I can't set my wheel up in my living room. The standard setup for the gamepad (as I remember it) is using the left analog stick for steering and the triggers for accelerate and brake. I don't like this setup so I remapped the buttons to the D-pad for steering, X for accelerate and Square for braking. But the game won't use the gamepad's built in pressure sensitivity so all those controls are basically on/off. The steering was so slow and I would spin out all the time when accelerating out of corners (the last problem can be somewhat fixed with traction control, but it still sucks). I got so fed up I sold the game and got the PC version instead so I could use my wheel.
