Fallout 4 provides such a great gaming experience. It's world and gameplay are so immersive and fun expect not to put the controller down! The pip boy edition is awesome for long time fans like myself. It is really well made and you can wear it!

I've never been a big fan of Fallout so I wasn't planning on buying it at all, however when I walked into Best Buy and saw a pip boy edition I saw $$ waiting to be made. But after I played it I realized that I had to keep it, gameplay is great, graphics aren't mind blowing but definitely solid and smooth. And to get a steelbook, a cool case and a semi working pip boy (smart phone needed to make it fully working) $120 is a great deal and if you don't like it you can still profit heavily by selling it

The Pip-Boy edition comes with a very neat Vault 111 container that houses all of the elements in a tightly packed, padded foam space so that nothing rattles around when shipping (which I appreciated). When you open the pip-boy case, you'll find the game (in a VERY nice titanium case) and a sort of instruction manual themed to the game's environment, which I thought was pretty nifty and creative. It tells you how to set up your pip-boy and how to place a mobile device inside of it, since you'll need to install the pip-boy app on your phone for the pip-boy to "function." Even if you don't have a phone to use it with, it still looks great with the pre-placed plastic card that represents the interface screen (see picture) if you want to use it just for display purposes. It comes with a pre-installed coin cell battery that you can access relatively easily, but those batteries are intended to last quite a long time so replacing it shouldn't be much of an issue. This edition also comes with a very nice display stand, so that you can have your pip-boy out for everyone to see when you are not using it. As for the pip-boy itself, if you don't appreciate replica models or aren't a Fallout fan, you might not be impressed with its construction since it is made out of plastic. However, as someone who has dabbled in the process of recreating props and tried to make a pip-boy from scratch, this is an excellent product with lots of nice details that include functioning knobs, accurate aesthetic, and a couple of buttons that light up when turned on. Plastic is the most realistic choice as far as materials go, otherwise the price for this pip-boy would have skyrocketed and it would weigh a ton if you tried to strap it to your wrist. When you put it on, there is an adjustable strap on the inside to secure it to your arm, and then the pip-boy latches closed on the outside (the outside latch is not adjustable, so it's really a one-size-fits-all type of deal. I have small wrists, so it never feels snug and secure but the adjustable strap does help). Ultimately, this is everything I expected it to be when I first pre-ordered it, and I am exceedingly happy with its construction and the way that everything was packaged inside the Vault 111 container. I would recommend it to any fallout fan or anyone who enjoys collecting little gizmos and gadgets from their various interests. It's a fun little gadget, and it's amazing to see something from one of my favorite games exist in the real world.

Fallout is one of my favorite games of all time! I usually don't buy collectors editions but in the case of getting my very own pip-boy how could I say no? everything about the product from the packaging to the steelbook to the actual pip boy felt premium! If you can snag on of these guys and are a fallout out fan I would say do it!

Ordered mine last week for store pickup and picked it up yesterday! Awesome game that I'm sure will get as much time put in as Skyrim. The Pipboy edition is a great bonus and at GCU price of less than $100, it's a great price! Christmas came early this year!

First off, the game is awesome and it comes in a steel case. There are some collectors maps and posters which are nice with great quality. The vault case that everything comes in is INCREDIBLE and my favorite part of the whole collector's items!!! Where it loses 1 star is the PIPBOY accessory itself. It looks extremely cool, and is supposed to use your phone as a second screen. The fit isn't perfect but after quite a bit, you can finally get it to fit. However, taking it in and out is a pain. It also doesn't fit well on my arm. Because of this, it is easier to just use a tablet for the second screen. If you only want to display it, then you will love it because it comes with a display stand as well. But if yuou want to actually use it, I'd pass on this.

I got lucky and found this at my local Best Buy, which by a miracle I found. This game is amazing and I have it for both Systems and I have a lot of hours wasted in this wasteland. Story so far is amazing and the game play leaves me speechless. Game of the year hands down...

This has got to be the greatest collector's edition of any game, ever. This is totaly worth the premium.... I finally have a real life PipBoy!! I'm ready for anything!! And the game is also amazing, I am having a great time with it.

For fans like me this is perfect i buy this for the pip boy . the pip boy is amazing and you can use your smartphone to make it work like the real one on the game. this came with the steelbook that the art is pretty awesome

Bethesda has made another glitchy and great jewel for gaming. I love this game and it is well worth the money. The pip boy is sitting on my shelf and so is the box. Definitely recommend

Not only is Fallout 4 a great and immersive game, but the pip boy looks great on your arm while playing or just sitting on the shelf being displayed.

Enough said.... Fallout 4 is everything you want it to be. The pip boy edition is worth it just because it's hard to find.

First the Pipboy - amazing details and it fits well on my skinny wrist. Slides a bit but over a costume or cosplay outfit it would fit a bit better. The game itself is astounding. I played it multiple times for the different story lines. I love building my settlements and expanding them. Definitely a must buy game!

I may be only a few days into it but I am loving Fallout 4. Each character you meet is individual and unique. The locations are well thought out. Love the crafting system. Enemies are actually as they should be...Pains in the butt! Love the dog. The physical Pip-Boy I got is so cool. Already have it on display.

Despite what some may say. This game is hard to beat in terms of single player fun. The graphics are similar to TES Skyrim. Although, the combat, crafting, and weapons are updated from fallout 3. I've already spent countless hours on it and I've only scratched the surface. Worth buying.

I love the face the collectors item that comes with this is not your standard run of the mill statue. sure it can be put on display somewhere like a statue but one can use it with the in game app for further immersion, I can see this as the missing piece for a fallout cosplay.

Honestly if you liked the other console fallout games you are going to like this one. It's the same formula from those games with the power of the new consoles helping it for graphics and scope.

The pip-boy edition of Fallout 4 was probably the most hyped video game related product this year, even if due in part to slight misunderstanding. When it comes down to it, the pipboy itself is simply a gimmick. The model has no electronics save from an "on" light, and serves only as a model/cheap toy. HOWEVER, it is amazing to use if you have the right phone and app, and after having it for a couple weeks, I can honestly say it was well worth the money I paid (only $90, but still). I guess the takeaway from this review is to get the Best Buy Gamers Club membership, or to remember to use a friend's to get serious discounts on future video game gimmicks such as this :-)

Came quick and in perfect condition, such a great edition by bethesda. The pip boy is a nice little gadget to immerse you into the fallout universe while you play and adds some nostalgia.
