I’ve played nearly all the quests at this point, and while it isn’t like a traditional Bethesda entry into their franchises it does hold a lot of opportunity. If you are an individual that enjoys exploration, and can avoid the online toxic discussions and spoilers, there is a lot of fun to be had. Technically speaking, at release the game was in a poor state and arguably has gotten worse as they try to patch some bugs while making others worse. Disconnects and crashes are common and unavoidable. There are plenty of reasons to get frustrated, although it speaks volume that there is still a motivation to keep playing and see what is behind every corner.

Do some research and watch some videos. This is not a typical fallout game. So if you are expecting a typical fallout game, you will be disappointed, but if you take this game for what it is, it can be a lot of fun. Watch videos and read reviews to decide if the game is for you before purchasing it.

This game isn't bad, it just isn't good either. The game play is not very difficult. I've yet to run into a difficult situation where I couldn't win. Not a deal breaker, but let's not pretend this is a survival game. Second, the game hasn't made any improvements since Fallout 4. The animations are the same... same weapons... same power armor animations... same sound effects. Aside from more vegetation I would swear this was Fallout 4. All this the game is worth it at sales price to add to your collection!!!

BAD GAMEPLAY, SERVER CRASHES, INFINITE BUGS, CAN'T PLACE CAMP, NO STORY TO DIG INTO, VERY EMPTY, UN-PLAYABLE. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BUY SOMETHING BETTER. I WILL GLADLY TRADE THIS BACK IN FOR $26. WASTED $65. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!!

This game so far has been good. It’s tough to get used to but it’s similar to the past fallouts. The only downfall is the glitches and lags that still remain. I’m sure that will get taken care of soon. It is interesting being able to play with other players and also kill and be killed by them.

I LOVE Fallout, except this one wasn’t quite what I was hopin it would be. There are a number of bugs that need to be worked out, but the idea and gameplay are fun for me.

If you don't buy this game simply because people are giving it bad reviews, don't. Most people are buying this without realizing it's an online only game. It's their done 2 seconds of research they would have realized beforehand

Very fun game that got undeserved hate at launch. Many many hours of content and more coming every month. Lots of places to explore and build and you can play all of it with your friends.

Enjoying what time I have spent in this game so far, regardless of the glitches (which are getting better). Still a lot of fun with the right crew. Now just to find more time with this and RDR2 having released so close together.

I purchased this game at launch. It was pretty overwhelmed with glitches, so I held off on reviewing for a while. After a big update, the game is pretty vastly improved. I've put hours and hours into it. If you're a fan of the series, you should give it a shot now that it's stable.

Breaks my heart to write this as I'm a huge fan of the Fallout series with 4 being the best, this game is a disgrace. There are so many glitches it's literally unplayable for me. I've been playing 4 hours today and the game has frozen up and kicked me out 9 times today alone. If the game freezes up before I am able to reach my last death to retrieve my loot, I lose all of my Junk which is critical for repairs and upgrades, which you'll spend half the game constantly fixing your weapons and armor and trying to figure out how to carry and stash stuff. Massive battles, which in a game like Assassin's Creed Odyssey are amazing, are absolutely impossible. The game lags so bad when there are more than 5-6 enemies attacking to the point you can't play it, then it just freezes up and quits. My internet speed is a hard-line fiber connection with over 700 Mbps and none of my other games or devices have issues so it has nothing to do with the internet connection dropping out. I thought after playing the beta they would resolve the glitches but no they have managed to get even worse. Numerous missions have issues that you'll need to replay several times, it took me 24 hours and several hard reboots just to get a holotape to load on a computer on a Main Quest "One of Us" before it finally worked, but I wasted a whole day and couldn't progress in the game until it finally worked. Also, in past Fallout games you could re-load a previously saved game if you wanted to make a different choice - not on 76! Your only option is to continue playing or start over from scratch Level 1. Save your money and get AC Odyssey or Red Dead 2! Trust me if you buy this game you will regret it! If I could give it a ZERO I would!

I enjoy this game but it isn’t for everyone. I’m sure it will improve but there are bugs and glitches which are annoying when they occur. If you like other fallout games and it looks intriguing then find it on sale and go in with low expectations. You’ll probably like it.

Not the most intricately built game of the series by any means, but definitely still worth a play through. If you have a friend or two that makes it 10x better. Have made significant patches and free dlc that have better shaped the world since launch.

I was skeptical about this iteration of the Fallout IP, so I waited for the holiday sales to pick it up. I am a huge fan of the series and one of the developer's other series, Elder Scrolls. Fallout 76 has many of the exploration features of its predecessors, but without the VATS targeting feature, it just doesn't feel like a Fallout game. Also there are many of the other pitfalls inherent to MMOs so beware. Ultimately, it's probably best to wait and see if the developer can make the transition to an online universe with this game. Time will tell.

I've been playing this game since the beta and it continues to get better. Love customization options and doing whatever I feel like. Glitches can still be a pain but overall its kept my attention for the last 2 years.

Though not a main entry in the series I still had excitement. The negative reviews are warranted but it’s fun in some aspects. It’s still fallout; bugs and all. I honestly don’t care with playing with others as this is what this title aims to do. Like the re-releases of their elder scrolls, it’s just that. It tries to be an mmo set in the fallout universe. To me fallout is about story telling with npc’s that have a story to tell. This game it does feel barren. Luckily the price was dropped suddenly as this isn’t worth the 59.99 price point.

They have fixed most of the bugs in this game as of now and it is a different style of game but Fallout Brotherhood of Steel was as well and they are both very fun so.

As it currently stands, this game is one that could be amazing, but it has too many game breaking bugs to reach its full potential right now.

I LOVE me some fallout. I’ve played most of them. This atrocity, however, is an insult to the not only the gamer that wastes their money on it, but all of the fallout games that came before it! It’s extremely glitchy, there is no plot or story, they pretend that there is, but no, there isn’t, and the gameplay is boring and awful. You cannot pause the game at all, it’s constantly online even if you want to play solo. You will also continue to be hit by enemies even when going into your pipboy to switch weapons or use aids. What kind of crap is that?! Everything about it is POOP! Just don’t do it. If you really want to try the game, I would at least wait a few months to see if they fix or improve it. It’s basically a broken beta that no one bothered to fix before full release. Garbage.

We have been a fan of fallout since the beginning and gave this a try even with all the bad press and reviews. It has its moments and bethesda needs to fix some stuff but the game is pretty solid Will continue to play and see where it goes
