Freddy does a great job as textbook author and magizoologist Newt Scamander and we also get a nice little backstory involving Grindelwald.

Amazing characters. The story is okay, but it's the main character that draws you in. Especially with how his friendships are built.

I loved Newt. I loved the animals. I loved the set up to the big reveal of the evil wizard. I loved that there was more to the story than just what was presented. I am excited to see where things go from here.

What a great and creative new take on the harry potter franchise. I am already excited to see what JK has in store for future movies!!

The story of Newt and his journey is great. There are surprises throughout the entire film that will keep your eyes glued. Great movie.

This movie was fantastic. This is in the world of Harry Potter, but it's not recommended to compare this to Harry Potter.

I did not go see this at the theater because I was wary of any "Harry Potter" knockoff. Such series are usually disappointing. I was wrong: this film and story line stand strongly on their own. Rowling has expanded Harry Potter into the "Wizarding World" and it demonstrates great promise. Eddie Redmayne as Newt the peaceful collector of animals is a clone of the Hagrid character in the Harry Potter series. Redmayne dominates the movie in a loving, peaceful manner. No matter the beast, Newt can tame and take care of it. Dan Fogler brings whimsy and comedic moments along with friendship to Newt and accepts magic into his life gracefully. Alison Sudol gives the second best performance in her minor role as Queenie...a 20s sweet party girl. The rest of the cast does well in their roles as well. The special effects and incredible creativity of both environment and creatures is amazing. The execution of each fantastic beast, its movement, behavior, appearance and sounds is exceptionally well done and adds immense texture to the story line.

Always fun to be back in the HP world. A cool different story that has all the familiarity but a more refreshing change of scenary.

While not everyone was blown away by the film I found it completely enjoyable. Fun new characters and a great new story to unfold.

I purchased this movie in preparation for its sequel and not only is it a great family movie, but in 4K the visuals are spectacular.

I am an avid J.K. Rowling fan. I love her books and movies. And honestly she keeps getting better. Like fine wine. Great movie!

Have not watched this on Blu Ray yet, but expect it to be perfect quality. I did see in theaters and wanted it for my collection.

Follows the Potter series well based on what is mentioned in the series. Looking forward to the full FBaWTFT series!
