This Film Doesn’t Hold Back On It’s Tone Or Dark Times To Come. It Sets Up More Than It Is Contained, However I Don’t Believe That Should Be Held Against It! Performances, Characters & FX Are Solid Across The Board, Especially From Johnny Depp AKA Grindelwald. He Seduces With Charm & Intelligence, Enough To Seduce Several To The Dark Side. It Leaves You With Enough To Be Excited For The Events To Come, Especially With A Cliffhanger Like No Other In The Franchise! Any Potter Fan Will Be Satisfied With This Chapter!

My wife and me really enjoyed this movie. I thought it was a great follow-up to the first. Any fan of the Harry Potter series will appreciate this film. The steelbook art is awesome and looks great shelved next to the BB Steelbook of the 1st movie. Audio/Video of disc plays immaculately on 5.1/ 65” tv home theatre. Highly recommended!

After the first Fantastic Beasts film brought the magical world to the US, the sequel follows up taking us on the beginnings of a darker path. Back in Europe, the film begins laying the groundwork for the remaining 3 movies, with a twist at the end. It's an obvious sequel, not standing on it's own without the first film to draw on, but still entertains. The more you like the HP universe, the more you will get into and out of this one. Definitely be sure to see the first one before viewing.

I love the Harry Potter movies and I love how the Fantastic Beasts movies tie in with the Harry Potter movies. For example, spoiler alert: Nagini was actually a woman. I expected more from this movie but as a typical second movie of a trilogy, it sets up for the third movie making the second one disappointing. Not surprised it didn’t do well in theaters but I can’t wait for the third one now that I know what is expecting to happen next such as the big fight with Dumblsore and Grindelward!

The Crimes of Grindelwald is a good follow-up to Fantastic Beasts but it is a much darker movie. Much like the original Harry Potter series, they've managed to catch the magic and wonder in the initial film but this outing and the latter movies focused on the battles instead of the joys of figuring out spells and powers or all the incredible creatures. This film introduced a few critters but mostly focused on conflict between wizards and witches. It's still worth watching though

Despite the negative critic and user reviews, I blind bought this immediately after viewing the first FB movie. We enjoyed it a lot! 4K Picture Quality: Absolutely fantastic. Image is crisp, clear, colorful and HDR really makes things pop. Audio Quality: again, absolutely fantastic. Bass digs deep and is punchy when it needs to be, dialogue is clear and surrounds are accurate and detailed.

As a fan of both the Harry Potter books and films, I was overjoyed when they started to adapt Fantastic Beast series (based on the book Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them) to films. Although I do wonder how they are going to make a series of films from only one book (more of a guide book on magical beasts from the Harry Potter books). I'm very happy with the story that they came up for the films and can't wait to see the next couple of films in this series.

While I am no Harry Potter expert by no measure, I was able to follow along with the story and what was going on in it. I think that this movie is more of a nod for fans who has a deep understanding of the early and expanded HP universe. Finally, to me anyway, this was a much darker entry than the first movie, but it was still mostly family-friendly, and a very good movie experience in general.

Pretty good, going to be hard to judge without the third installment of the films as while this is good by itself the story is what matters in this kind of film and as it is the middle part, not a whole story unto itself like Fantastic Beasts, it's hard to really judge the film. Overall I'd say it's worth a watch barring them just royally messing up the third installment when it releases.

What gives the story its magical touch are the special effects used throughout the film that have their own kind of charm. These effects not similar to the VFX we are used to seeing in other films. The magic in the Potterverse is unlike any other. The transitions are smooth and even the detailing on the magical creatures is exquisite. This franchise has always exceeded its expected production value and it only seems to be getting better with each film.

3D - the way it was offered in the theater! Need more titles offered this way! Still don't understand why this market is so underserved... they've removed 3D capability from newer tv models, although it's bound to come back later. The movie was a fun ride and the picture quality here lives up to the spectacle. Some solid unexpected twists in this film, but honestly don't know how they are going to sustain this thread for the several more sequels planned.

Its a J.K Rowling series. Harry Potter sequels. What's not to love. If you love HP you will love these movies. It might not be suitable for younger kids if they are afraid of random small insects/animals/beasts. But honestly I dont think they should be afraid to watch it. I love watching these movies over and over and I dont think I will ever get tired of them.

As a Harry Potter fan, I am naturally drawn to Fantastic Beasts. What I really love about this movie is the early knowings of Albus Dumbledore. Something I think every Harry Potter fan would love to find out! I'm not as invested yet with this series but I can start to see a good build up with this latest installment. I hope the next one tops the first 2 with some ongoing character build ups, may I say Tom Riddle??? I sure hope sooooo....

First, the physical product was fine. Case undamaged, all discs intact and activation code worked. Digitally speaking, we are still having trouble with playback of 4K and Blue-Ray discs on our 4K player. I do suspect it is the 4K player, not the discs, but both were bought new at Best Buy. So five stars for this 4K movie edition. Good movie, even better on second viewing.

These two films have fed our need for more fantasy along the Harry Potter vein. The second is almost as good as the first. These types of films lose something the second time around when the original surprising magic has worn off. But this sequel holds up well and allows us to escape to another place than our own mundane world without fantastic creatures.

The SteelBook for this is beautiful! The movie quality looks stunning in 4K and the audio is great. I would have bought it had there not been a SteelBook but that was an awesome added bonus! One my favorite 4K Steels to date! My only complaint is that the movie itself was not as good as the first by more than you would expect from a sequel, especially one in this universe.

I pre ordered this movie a month ago. I enjoyed the first part of the movie that I knew that I had to have the Fantastical Beast: The Crimes of Grendlewald. I had watched the movie and enjoyed it even more than the first one. Lost of action, drama, and suspense. I do think another movie will be if not already in the making. Thank you BestBuy for having the movie on time.

Loved the original movie and I loved this one as well. With a different feel from the original I think this one brings it firmly into the Harry Potter universe. I love the characters and the story is good and with the 4k, blu ray and digital download this is a great set to have. If you loved the first movie and all the Harry Potter movies this one is for you for sure!

Good movie. I think part 2 is a little better than part 1. Not the same caliber as Harry Potter or Lord of the Ring. Seemed to be for more older audience when comparing to Harry Potter. J. K. Rowling made several references to Harry Potter's story. I just don't like Johnny Depp due to his past derogatory comments about the U.S. Got it at a really good price at Best Buy's Black Friday event so it doesn't matter much,

Great visuals and excellent sound. The film was good but I feel like I had to use all of my potter knowledge to really appreciate what was going on. I didn’t really like the ending and ultimately felt the the first movie had more heart. With regards to the 4K version, the sound mix is excellent and the visuals look great. Would recommend to Potter Fans. 75’ 4K Sony 900f with Sony 4K player and THX certified Onkyo 7.2 surround sound
