I got this game as a gift and could be happier once i starred play. Guns, vehicles and how big the map play is with every kind of animal you could run into. The storyline is every good alot better then black ops 2 witch let me down. So give it a chance you wont be let down .

My expectations were very high considering the hype and reviews that engulf Far Cry 3. I do not get truly excited for new releases often, but this was one I thought would top modern open-world games. After playing for a solid 10-15 hours, I am left wanting much more. The graphics for PS3 are pretty phenomenal. From the characters' facial expressions, to the beautiful surroundings and animals, you feel like you are a part of the landscape. The big downside for me is that there is not much to set this game apart. You are tasked to kill enemies across a vast island, capture certain points which turn into safe houses, and kill animals to unlock weapon slots and equipment upgrades. This is the same thing you do in GTA....Red Dead Redemption...Borderlands...Skyrim...should I go on? Now don't get me wrong, I loved Borderlands, BL2, and Skyrim. In fact, I invested over 200 hours into Skyrim and got the platinum trophy for it. I spent many nights with friends playing Borderlands 2 and having a blast. I just was not drawn into Far Cry 3 like I was the previously mentioned games. I guess you could say I was bored from the start because it's the same game, just a different environment and characters. I still think that Far Cry 3 is a solid game, despite the bugs which marred the game at release, but be prepared for a pretty generic open-world game.

this is a good game to play online and just to have fun with some friend under the CO OP mode

Far Cry 3 is important for the same reason as Far Cry 2. It’s a shooter that considers shooters thoughtfully, both in the way they’re designed and the way we play them, and then asks us to do the same. Should massacring hundreds be a great way to entertain ourselves? Maybe not. But it is.

This game was much more than I expected. I had previously played far cry 2 and wasn't very impressed. Then I thought you know what I'll give it a try. This game was an improvement in every way. And the main villain is without a doubt a character I will never be able to forget.

This is a beautiful open world game with great controls and the best villain in vass. Great for shooter fans and sandbox fans. In my opinion is way better than far cry 2 which i thought was boring. Also, download the new far cry 3 blood dragon DLC, it is awesome.

I tried several games (Shooter games) before Far Cry 3, but when I purchased the game and started playing, I could not think of anything else. I finished the game and most of the side missions and am planning to start the game once again. The aspect which I liked most about the game is, in any mission you have to have a strategy and a planned way to kill the enemies, blind shooting does not help you in finishing the mission at any stage of the game. I bought a couple of other games, but none of them impressed me like Far Cry 3. I cant wait to get the next version - Blood Dragon and am also planning to get the Far Cry 2. I strongly recommend this game to any gamer who likes shooting.

This is a fun game worth purchasing. It has two story lines. The first story line is for single player mode and the 2nd is for Co-ops mode. Embrace the darkness and enjoy this exciting journey.

I really enjoyed the fact that you were free to roam around and do side missions as you pleased. I hated that every time I jumped I lost a lot of life or died. Serious bummer.

Reviewers were saying it is skyrim with guns but is also has cars, boats, zip lines , and hand gliders. So many thing to do. Go hunting to upgrade your equipment dogs, deer, sharks ! Just wish their we're more guns in the game only 4 assault rifles 2 snipers not sure how many smg and lmg their are have not looked into yet. This is a great game. Would have given it 4 stars but I pre ordered to get extra missions and guns and did not receive any code or anything to get the stuff.

In the game it wants you to be stealth and kill people at times. That why this game is based on the movie Rambo.
