Far Cry 5 plays very much like the gameplay of 3, 4, and Primal. They stream lined portions of the game to improve the pace of action. The game looks amazing on Xbox One X and the sound is top notch. The story can be great at times to people who find cults and political topics interesting. My main gripes are with the easily confused and suicidal AI you encounter throughout the game and deemphasis on hunting from being needed to improve your character to just needing a handful of skins to complete the challenges. Overall, if you found the previous Far Cry games enjoyable, you will very much like this game, but if you were burnt out with the similar gameplay of those games you may have trouble keeping attention to the game as a whole.

If you like Far Cry you'll like 5. Set in the USA for the first time 5 is everything you remember. Setting out to free a Montana community (Hope County) from a deadly cult you traverse a beautiful open world map. Filled with forests, mountains, rivers and more. The weapons are numerous and expandable. There is a new perks menu that allows you to play your style. Gone are the towers but the strongholds are still there. Far Cray adds a "Guns for Hire" option in which you can play along side AI who you match for your particular style. Also included are 3 Fangs for hire, A dog, a cougar and a bear who each bring different skill sets to the table (think Primal animal friends). While it doesn't top Far Cry 3, 5 is very good and a definite must have for any series fan. For new comers it offers great open world chaos and a variety of ways to play.

This game is awesome. Tons of stuff to do, game play is great ( driving is ok). Assassins creed could learn from this game, side missions are so much fun to do. Never gets old, great story, characters and so much to do. Cant recommend this game enough.

Love this game, playing through it again. Alot of fun and things you can do fly, boat, off road, and many other things. Wanna go hunting, or fishing?

Is like any other Far Cry game. Fun and addicting. I recommend, it has a big open world and with Xbox One X 4k looks amazing.

This is the best far cry to date. Graphically stunning and immersive. Huge open world and great characters to interact with.

The story is not very good, ending is a let down. But the gameplay and open world is simply fantastic.

It is far from a perfect game, but it will definitely scratch a particular type of itch if you've got it. There is something gratifying about jumping out of the truck before you run into a roadblock, shoot everyone there, miss an attack plane with an RPG, shoot it down with a mounted machine gun instead, and then go head shot a deer from way out and skin it.

Do you love dogs, cougars, or big brown bears named Cheeseburger? What about killing crazy cultists in the craziest ways from bows, flamethrowers, baseball bats, to smile face shovels? If you like the sound of any of these then FAR CRY 5 is for you. You can even take some time to relax and go fishing unless the local wildlife has anything to do with it.

Great story combined with an awesome multiplayer. If you find a gold edition worth the extra cash for the season pass, but the other perks for the deluxe is worth it.

Tons of fun! The map is huge and there’s countless hours of things to do. Love not having to follow a linear path and getting to explore the open world in Montana.

This is by far my favorite far cry game of the series. Truly innovative game play and storyline. Far cry is one of the top game series on the market!

I couldn’t wait to get this game , so many more things to do and accomplish in this game. A great addition to the series.
