I liked the original movie so when I saw that there was going to be a weekly series I had to watch. Very good series and a great cast. Especially Billy Bob Thornton. A must see if you are a fan of the original movie or a fan of Billy Bob's. I liked it so much that I had to buy the DVD.

This show demonstrates how to translate a movie to the tv screen. It manages to create its own unique story and characters while maitaining the tone and location of the original movie. Martin Freeman and Billy Bob Thorton are great. The supporting cast is also brilliant and the dark humor is spot on. A must buy

Great television that gives the feeling you're watching a movie. One of those outstanding series that keeps you riveted. Billy Bob Thorton takes his acting to another level as the mysterious and evil "Malvo". Do your self a favor and get this throwback to Hitchcock era series. You won't regret it.

As good, if not better, than the movie. The acting and writing are top notch. Lots of twists and turns. If you liked the movie, this is a must watch and must own to share with friends and family.

Excellent show. Connects to the film that came before it, but stands on its own merits and quickly establishes itself as a must-watch tv show. Like the Coen Brothers Oscar-winning film, this show deftly mixes comedy with drama for a unique viewing experience. The acting is superb, with Martin Freeman, sort of filling the hapless role that William Macy played in the movie. Billy Bob Thornton, however, steals the show with a tour de force turn as the show's primary villain. The suspense builds with every frame when he is on the screen. Worth watching for his performance alone.

I loved the original movie,but the TV series was just as good with different story line and actors.They were all excellent,especially Allison Folman and Billy Bob Thornton(he made my skin crawl) I wanted to scream (in fact I did) "why don't you know it all guys listen to a common sense woman ?).

I was on the fence weather or not this would live up to the Movie "Fargo" but decided to give it a go because of the cast. It was Fantastic. . It is complete - no waiting for the next season to come out. I understand there will be another coming out and will purchase that one too.

This is an excellent first series. The hokey accents are a bit toned down here from what it was in the movie and I believe this series is better than the movie. Recently saw season 2 and cannot wait for it's release. DVD quality is well enough, really did not need bluray version.

Love this series. For best results watch the 1996 movie Fargo and then binge watch both seasons of the television series. IMBD describes this series "various chronicles of deception, intrigue and murder in and around frozen Minnesota". Very well done and acted superbly.

I bought the first season to watch again, after enjoying the conclusion of the second season on FX. It wasn't really a matter of wanting to re-watch it either, I HAD to watch it again. The free beanie is better quality than I'd expected, snatch this combo up whole you can.

I was initially dubious of the idea of a television show based on a Coen Bros film, but FARGO far exceeded my expectations. This is a great story well told (and Season 2 is even better). As for the blu-ray, the picture and sound are flawless. Highly recommended!

As riveting as the film Fargo was, the first season of the Fargo TV series is at least as good. Billy Bob Thornton created one of the most scary and evil and violent bad guys in TV history, and the placidity with which he operates is chilling. HIGHLY recommended.

Fargo is a thrill ride. I was hesitant going on, but I remember watching it week after week and just being captivated by the plot and the acting. And the second season is currently great. I would highly recommend this to anybody, as long as you don't mind a bit of blood.

This was a fantastic show with an amazing cast. Characters are great and the story is perfectly paced for a 10 episode season. None of the episodes feel rushed and none of them feel like filler either. Was a great deal on sale so it was a no brainer to order it.

Quirky, violent, weirdness, Billy Bob Thornton, what more could you want. Seen the movie, you gotta watch the series, because it's something else!. It's very easy to get caught up in the story-line, it is even harder to turn off each episode! You gotta buy it!

I loved this tv series, and gave it as a present.They loved it too. We talk about it all the time and can't wait to see the next series. Fargo has great characters and writers to make it a success. All actions from the beginning to the end and hoping the next is the same.

While not copying or referencing really anything from the wonderful Cohen brothers movie, this series deserved all the accolades and rewards it got. It's funny, suspenseful, original, and all around entertaining. Definitely worth buying, especially at this price.

This series takes the cult favorite Fargo and expands the story. It works because there are so many great actors playing the quirky characters. Martin Freeman, Billy Bob Thornton, Colin Hanks, etc. Too many to list really. Definitely recommend this series to my friends.

Just started watching this with my wife this past week. She missed it when it first aired. It looks and sounds so much better than the cable broadcast. If you love the original movie as much as I do, you will definitely appreciate this series. A definite must own!

Fargo is one of those rare series that is better than the original source material. I saw the movie before I tried the series and it didn't really stick out to me, but the way the series was written, I would highly recommend it to pretty much anybody!
