argo is great. Pros: Just the right amount of humor. Just the right amount of intensity. Just the right amount of weird. Cons: None A roller coaster ride of a show. Sets up scenes beautifully. The characters are not your average theater heroic type. They have typical human traits, which is what draws you to them. It has a dull atmosphere, and for that reason everything that occurs is just that much more extreme. Do watch.

Fargo is downright one of the best series on FX and on TV overall. I can't decide who has the more evil character, Biily Bob Thorton or Martin Freeman. Both deliver great acting. The evolution of each character through the series is incredible to watch and worth the investment of time.

If you aren't hooked on the show after the first episode and a big fan of Billy Bob Thornton playing a cunning villain with a wicked sense of humor, there is no hope for you. Loved the movie Fargo and may have even loved this show more. Don't want to give anything away, but make sure you watch season 1 and season 2 and pay attention to names and references. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

I did not expect to enjoy this tv show as much as I did. My wife and I planned our day around getting to watch it. It has a darkness that somehow makes you laugh. If you are from this part of the country, you will likely get such a kick out of the characters or perhaps wonder "what's so funny?".

Fargo - did NOT disappoint. We really enjoyed watching the "old" retired version of the policeman (Leo?) that was the young guy in season 2...yes, we saw season 2 first - binge watched it one snowbound weekend and had to see Fargo 1. PLUS, Best Buy had a GREAT price on Fargo 1 - too good of a deal to pass up and yes, we binge watched this one as well. Too good not to!

Let me start by saying I am a big consumer of all the premium network series. Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, House of Cards... you name it, I've watched it. Fargo ranks WAY up there with the best of them! It is at once hard to watch and impossible to stop watching. Shocking one minute and hilarious the next. Great story, fantastic characters. Absolutely loved every minute of it!

This was the second time viewing this series. The first time when it originally aired. First off viewing this in 1080p is way better than 720p I know that's pretty much a given with blu-ray but the transfer is literally very crisp just like locations it was shot in. Second the extras that are included are great to watch after you completed the series. Definitely recommended!

Writer-director Noah Hawley has done the impossible and successfully adapted Fargo for FX. Keeping the tone and wit of the film, Hawley and his cast have crafted a fresh "true story" that's every bit as smart, scary and thrilling as fans should expect. The best series on TV. Period.

Fargo's 10 episode Arc is far beyond what I think anyone expected from a sequel/remake/reboot of the undeniable classic Coen Brother's film. Characters are well fleshed out, cinematography is near perfect, the pacing is beautiful and the writing is almost flawless. I honestly can't think of anything wrong with this show. Buy the blu-ray for the best experience.

I thought Breaking Bad and True Detective would be the best TV dramas I would see. Not so, as it turns out. Fargo season 1 is unbelievable compelling. One of those shows that demands you watch the next episode. Smart, intelligent writing with deeply rich characters. And season 2 somehow does it better than season 1, so I highly recommend that too!

Great Show, as good if not better than the orignal Fargo. I know that sounds like a crazy statement but there are many elements in the Fargo TV Show and are worthy of two or three views. Great Acting across the board, Billy Bob is amazing, Collin Hanks is great and newcomer Allison T. does a superior job and as always Bob Odenkirk is fun and layered.

I had only seen the movie and fell in love with it. It's probably my second favorite Coen brothers movie behind The Big Lebowski. I bought season 1 of Fargo for my Dad for Father's Day. I enjoyed it because it could be just as funny as it was serious, and this will go down as one of Billy Bob Thornton's greeting acting performances.

Been wanting to watch this show for some time. Started to watch on Hulu and went out to purchase it after second episode. It's shot so beautifully and looks great on blu-ray. The story keeps you wanting to binge watch. I finished the show in two days. Immediately went back to Best Buy to purchase the second season.

When i first heard they were turning this into a show I was skeptical. I didn't know if it was going to be the same characters as the movie or what. The show takes place in the same area as the movie does, but it is not the same story. Martin Freeman and Billy Bob Thorton did an amazing job. I highly recommend watching this show.

If you love the movie Fargo, then this is a must-have. It connects to the movie, and has great acting by Martin Freeman, Billy Bob Thornton, and most notably Allison Tolman. It has one of the best Pilot episodes I've ever seen, and it keeps you hooked and guessing what's going to happen next. Addicting television at its finest!

The first season of Fargo is really great. May I add, however, I am not a fan of the film Fargo so I wasn't expecting much from this show. This show was way better than the film. I really enjoyed it. The DVD quality is OK for a DVD. I'm sure the blu-ray is better but the DVD is well alternative.

A quirky spinoff from the movie, this series kept me compelled from the start. Love the characters, the storyline, and the setting. There's nothing like being Minnesotan, watching a movie about Minnesota; watching the details for accuracy, I'm not sure if we get made fun of or if they truly hit the nail on the head.

Can't remember what the original show was about but this series is a must see. It has some humor along with suspense. Billy Bob Thornton plays an excellent role. He is a quiet hit man who comes to town by accident and while he is there he cause mayhem. It is fun to watch a husband who has killed his wife try to fix things.

This was really excellent TV. All of the actors were on spot, the writing and cinematography were just first rate. Alison Tolman was a real find as her past roles give no clue as to how good she really is. I remember seeing the movie, "Fargo", but this is quite different. All in all, it deserves a rating of Excellent.

I love this show. Billy Bob Thornton someone I can take or leave in most cases is phenomenal in this and creates one of the more memorable characters in recent TV history. It's endlessly fun to watch the characters in this show dig their own graves through some combination of greed, stupidity or vanity.
