    Yes, these movies are similar, but The Rock breathes new life into the series.

    F&F 5 is a good caper movie, with a chase that wrecks more police cars than Blues Brothers, and I liked the conclusion of the story. F&F 6 tries to be a James Bond story with great chase scenes. Have not seen F8, but each entry has upped the stakes and action quality.
