Not a bad movie. It has grown on me over the years as I have become more connected to the characters thanks to the excellent sequels.

This wasn't one of my favorites but it wasn't the worst either bought it to almost complete the collection (didn't purchase #3)

Did any of you expect a film - somewhat low budget for its time - to explode into the insanely big franchise it is now?

Good for what it was at the time. The beginning of the greatest series of race movies ever conceived.

The best fast of them all and a very well made film.And looks very good on Blu-ray.

I was looking forward to start collecting them. Unfortunately, the case broke as soon as I tried to open it. I sm very disappointed and this why I rated this lower than I would have if it was just the movie in a regular case. Please note that I did enjoy the movie and would give it a 3 1/2 stars.

I'm actually just rating the packaging? Honestly, the movie's been out awhile, and you must know it's fun, the franchise as a whole is fantastic- diverse casts, fabulous locations, incredible action, ETC. What I'm rating here is the packaging, because if there's one thing we like in our household it's a good collectible Steelbook. This fits nicely with the rest of the films, not too gimmicky or busy design. If you've not purchased any Steelbooks, you're getting the same film with a great special edition packaging to stand out on the shelf. Also, well worth the extremely reasonable pricetag for a bluray film!
