Good movie. Great depiction of the book characters!

For the actual DVD package, I was surprised at the quality of the infinity bracelet. I was expecting something a bit flimsier. I imagine it'll probably break at the snaps after a while, but the bracelet itself is good quality and the snaps can be replaced. Saw the movie in the theater and adored it. The things missing that were in the book weren't essential to the storyline, and while I'd have loved to see them (like the growth of the relations between Gus' parents and Hazel) this is one of the better book to film adaptations I've seen. The extra's are fun to see and the deleted scenes are nice since a lot are book specific, and there's a surprise in the appearance of book author, John Green.

I have 2 daughers, a pre-teen and a teen. They read the book and wanted this movie desperately. I wanted to see what all the hype was about, but being a busy Mom, I didn't have much time to read nor had much leisure time. I borrowed the audio book from the library and listened as I drove around. We bought the DVD from Best Buy and finally watched the movie. No wonder the girls bawled their eyes out. It's a sweet story and age-appropriate for my girls. This is an awesome movie to match the book, and a purchase I don't regret.

My wife to be picked this movie out. A tear jerker for sure.

I like this movie is something that you learned I like it

I just love a good old fashioned love story! and this one has all the bells and whistles that tug at the heart strings! And I DARE you not to cry! I had not read the book and knew nothing about this story going in and by the end of the movie I was balling! Make sure you have a deluxe size box of tissue on hand for this one! And a side note - the bench scene about 3/4s thru the movie - the real bench they shot the scene at was later stolen from the street and it took over 2 weeks for some one to report it gone! The thieves had left a jumbo size planter in its place. :~)

this is a great movie that will make you think about life

I have yet to read the book; however, the film was fantastic and I may or may not have cried once or several times... My secret is safe here, right? So if you want to sit down and watch a great and touching film, this is the one for you. Now guys listen up... If you want to impress your lady get some white Christmas lights string them up around the living room, turn off the lights and plug this movie in... Preferably with your lady friend next to you; however, if you want a relaxing night to yourself, that works too. You will earn major brownie points.

Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort deserve Oscars for this movie. The story is beautifully written, and the movie is beautifully acted and directed. The movie follows the book well and John Green's, humor, charm and wit shine through in both the book and the movie. It is a love story that has true depth, heart and soul. It's not cliche like most romantic movies. It will make you laugh and cry sometimes at the same time. It's truly one of a kind, hope to see it win lots of awards this year. Bring your Kleenex when you see it.

The only reason I watched this movie the 1st time was because my girlfriend suggested it to me. Yes it is in the deemed genre of "chick flicks", but delve deeper, and this movie will freaking make your heart move. This movie is filled with sarcasm, satire, and of course romance. The greatest part of the romance is that 2 teens battling with cancer show us that even in this technology based age true love is not dead. The ending is very sad, but it still shows that true love conquers fear

I bought the Bluray/DVD/Digital pack with the infinity bracelet which I thought was awesome. I won't post any spoilers but some of the casting could have been better in my opinion; Hazel's mom for example. I did not like Laura Dern for the role but she did a good job. Of course they strayed from the book but not so much that it damaged the story (except for the dinner in Amsterdam scene perhaps). Overall, I very much enjoyed this movie. I laughed, I cried.. it is a beautifully told sad story.

Shailene Woodley is terrific here again. I just love her, she's like a little sister you want to protect. She really has a screen presence, and continues to impress. Ansel Elgort isn't her league, but he does a solid job. This movie could have been so Lifetime movie of the week, but it transcends its potentially manipulative trappings for the most part. It's very predictable (a 3rd of the way through the movie, you can guess what the last word of the movie it will end on), but it keeps the characters grounded and feel mostly real. Really liked the Anne Frank House scene. The Willem Dafoe stuff went a little too far (showing up for the funeral and stuff). Shailene Woodley continues on the path to being a superstar, and more importantly, one of my favorite actresses.

Cancer sucks, I'm not going to lie! Friendship transcends this awful world and creates "HOPE", and "UNDERSTANDING". It's like joining a club you never wanted to join; and only those in the club seem to understand the perspective as told by this young girl in this unforgettable, heart wrenching, and must read of a book, and the collection is complete with the purchase of this DVD!

I read the book then saw the movie and this has easily become one of my absolute favorite story lines. The emotion is just so un-explainable. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll smile, laugh some more then cry your eyes out. The movie is superbly done and follows the book pretty accurately. The acting is phenomenal all around. Definitely a must see and must own.

I love books so I'm fairly critical of book to movie translations. This one surpasses all my expectations. I think it helped that the author, John Green, was involved in a lot of the process. It stays close to the book and I cried just as much during the movie as I did while reading the book. An excellent movie for all ages!

This movie turned out to be pretty cute, even though I was sure before watching it that I was going to hate it. I chalk that up to my pre teen daughter and her obsession with this movie and it's young male star. Hearing about every nuance of the movie beforehand made me want to hate it, so I would imagine that it's a good sign that after finally watching it the film turned out better than anticipated. Expect your typical cliches and there are no real surprises plot wise, but both stars were likeable enough to keep me entertained.

I am a 32 year old woman who wanted to see this movie in the theaters but with 2 young kids and was not able to make it happen. I bought this the day it came out and watched it while they were at school and cried like a little girl. This is a great movie that any one of any age will enjoy, just dont forget your tissues.

this is an emotional film and you WILL need a box of tissues. my girlfriend really wanted to see this, so i got it for her, and being the amazing guy i am, i watched it with her. it turned out to be much better than i expected, and i even found myself holding back my emotions. can't cry during a movie, right?

This movie is really good, and will most likely become a well known, romantic classic in the future. This movie will make you experience a wide range of emotions, but by the movies end you will be happy that you watched it. Everything is done well in this movie, from the acting all the way to the directing.
