I read the book first that is what drew me to the movie. These two different kids were made for each other providing strength and wisdom until the other succumbs to death which I didn't expect. Like I said I knew it was coming but to see it made to a movie was better. Get this movie , it's a rom-com!

Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort were PHENOMENAL! I didn't think it would be possible but I loved this movie even more than the book. I couldn't stand Shailene Woodley before this movie but she definitely won me over. Shailene and Ansel had amazing chemistry that brought the characters to life.

I had read the book so I had high expectations for the film. My expectations were met. While the story didn't follow the book exactly, which is ok with me, it still held all the essential elements and came together very well. I'm not a cryer but my husband is, and his face was soaked by the end.

I saw the movie in theaters and found it to be a beautiful love story. Make sure you have tissues in hand because I don't think there was one dry eye in the theater by the end of the movie. It's romantic, tragic, and adventurous. It's a great movie and I can't wait to watch the extended version!

This movie will make you cry, laugh, get angry, basically go on a rollercoaster of emotions! Loved the book, then watched the movie after, and it was great. Doesn't stay as true to the book as I was expecting, but still good.

Shailene and Ansel nailed it. I wasn't prepared for Willem's character, but the great actor nailed it, too. I watched it many times as I liked the interaction of all the characters. Van Houten's 2 philosophical views got me to google them. Very interesting.

My 14 year old loved this movie when she saw it in the theater, so we bought her a copy and have watched the movie as a family. It is full of moments of laughter, realities of cancer patients, and tears. The theme and a few words of profanity may not be suited for children under 12.

I went to see this with my girlfriend, probably wouldn't have watched it without her, but I'm glad I did. This was a great movie, one of my favorites of the year so far. It really had the whole package- funny, sad, dramatic. Easily enjoyable movie for anyone. 100% recommend.

"The Fault in Our Stars" is a terribly heartbreaking movie. It makes you laugh and it makes you cry. It causes you to fall in love and then it breaks your heart. It's an amazing movie that pulls on your heart strings and makes you want to find your own Augustus Waters.

The Fault In Our Stars is openly manipulative. It knows what it's doing, and it does it very well. No one is going to see this movie who doesn't know what they're in for. The transfer is solid and the special features or nice, if a bit self-congratulatory. This ultimate edition with the extended cut forces you to by this piece of junk bracelet that no one wants. Waste of space. You should have just made the movie two bucks cheaper.

Based loosely on the book, this movie tells an excellent story of love, sacrifice, and the bonding that happens when you don’t give up on life. If you are into quotes, this movie is loaded and you won’t watch this movie just once.

This movie is for all ages. Although it deals with serious subject matter, dealing with cancer, it has a lot of funny parts which break up the seriousness. Overall, it has a great deal of meaning and will touch the hearts of everyone, no matter the age.

I loved John Green's book, and love love love the movie. It is such a great movie adaptation and the cast did an amazing job portraying the emotions and personalities of the characters. I'd imagine it'd be just as good even if you haven't read the book.

I knew it was going to be sad but in the previews I knew I had to hear their story. Gus has an amazing smile. He is perfect in this story. I love that he is tall. He has an amazing happiness in him despite it all. Hazel is sweet.... perfect pair.

This was another movie I was looking forward to after viewing the previews. Of course, when dealing with a terminal illness in a movie, you know someone has to die. However, I found the story to be inspiring and wistful. I enjoyed disliking Willem Dafoe's character, and, predictably, he has cause for being difficult. My recommendation - Worth owning, at the very least, renting. Get your hankies ready...
