Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This lens completely changed my camera, i had the standard kit lens when you buy the A7IV which is decent and gets the job done but this makes such a world of a difference lol. The sharpness of the image is unreal, the price sucks but you get what you pay for. I use this camera for a mix of things, I vlog with it for my social media page and just got back into photography with it. The aperture ring is so nice to have and it is lighter than the first edition which is great. The goal is to get the trinity: 16-35, 24-70, and 70-200. These lenses are built to last a very long time and will capture life greatest moments in the best of quality. For that I am willing to shell out the extra money. Buy once cry once

Superior Landscape Lens

The build quality is great and the aperture ring is a nice touch. I would recommend this lens to anyone who is willing to purchase at such an expensive price point. I haven’t done Astro with it yet, but will report back.

Great lens with high price tag

Great range for travel photos - especially in the small cities when you need to fit a lot in your frame. But price is quite high

I have only used this a few times now and so far I am very impressed. I also have the Sony 14 mm prime which is excellent, but you can definitely see the distortion in those pics. The 16-35 focal range has none to very minimal distortion (you probably won't even be able to notice at 16mm). The GMII has fast and reliable AF and is much lighter than its predecessor.

Open Box listed as "Excellent", Wrong Lens Hood.

It was listed as excellent condition. When I got it, I noticed that the lens hood was swapped out for a different one. The inside of the lens hood had white fuzz and that was what got me looking at it more. It included the one that normally goes on the 24-70mm 2.8 GM. I saved $200 buying used, but ended up having to spend $50 for a new hood. The lens itself was in great condition. I will do myself a favor and just spend the money on new next time.

Great lens, poor customer support

If I wasn’t honest and just exchanged the item I would’ve gotten the right lens. And said I was charged $100 to repair it. This is with my total tech membership. That’s quite disappointing.
