Retina Saving Lenses in a Stylish Frame

This is my third day wearing my new Felix Gray Blue Light Blocking Glasses and I can already tell a difference in my eyes by mid-afternoon. Not only is the fatigue less, but the acute dryness is less, and I have been able to push administering prescription drops a couple of hours into the evening. Blue light is everywhere, it is not something new with the influx of computers, smartphones, HD, and OLED TVs, etc. into our lives. It has always been with us as part of the electromagnetic spectrum. However, since at least the mid-1980s, higher doses of blue light that may be medically unsafe have become increasingly difficult for anyone to avoid. That is when CRT computer monitors became prevalent in offices and homes across the United States and other countries. Blue light is a small band of wavelengths that is measured in nanometers. It lies next to the bottom of the visible spectrum and next to ultraviolet light. The visible spectrum is composed of all of the colors that we see, and that includes sunlight. Sunlight is a combination of all colors and when combined as light, appears white. This white light can be split through a prism or cut crystal into the actual distinct colors of Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet. These colors are formed by varying wavelength degrees which are measured in nanometers and collectively called the ‘visible spectrum.’ These wavelengths of light combined to make white light. In pigments and dye the combination of all colors is the opposite of white – it is black. The rest of the electromagnetic spectrum consists of gamma rays, x-rays, ultraviolet light, infrared red, microwaves, and radio waves. The wavelengths of light that combine to make white light, or the visible spectrum, falls within the middle of the electromagnetic spectrum and is measured in nanometers ranging from 400-700. The most intense light that comes from the Violet color wavelength is - Blue Light, and this is the light that over time can damage the retinas in your eyes. We are faced with blue light in LED lamps, smartphones, computer screens, gaming and television consoles, on-coming car lights, fluorescent lamps that are still in department stores, churches and even schools. These are just a few of the things around us that emit blue light that has the potential to affect the retina in our eyes. My regular glasses have a blue light blocking coating, but I hardly ever wear my glasses because I prefer contact lenses. The Felix Gray glasses give me the blue light blocking protection while I wear my contact lenses. The Felix Gray blue light blocking glasses come with either clear or amber lenses. The lenses are of high optical quality, and I see no distortion at all using these over my contacts. The clear lenses filter up to 15x more of the more intense part of the blue light emitted by screens, while the amber lenses filter up to 23X more. All glasses have a premium double sided anti-reflective coating which reduces the glare. My lenses are clear and work nicely over my bi-focal contact lenses, but Felix Gray also offers frames with lenses having reading power or even your eye prescription. They offer a collection of sunglasses too. I am using the Roebling style which fits me perfectly. I have a narrow face, high cheekbones, a low nose bridge and glasses are always wider than my head and fall off my nose. I was thrilled to find a pair like these that fit so well and that feel this comfortable. I always use an Italian frame for my sunglasses because they are made to my size and light in weight, and these remind me of those frames. Consequently, when I went online to buy another pair, I learned that Felix Gray glasses are hand finished in a family run factory in Italy! These are not only light and comfortable, but stylish too. I wish that I had owned a pair of blue light blocking glasses back into the 1990s when I started long hours, every day, on large old CRT monitors doing all of my work on computerized drafting, word processors, emails, etc. Three months ago, I woke up one morning to little vision in one eye and discovered that a hole had torn into my retina. After a couple of worthless ER visits, I found my way to a retina specialist that was able to laser the hole back together and my vision in that eye is now unblocked and back in use. My mother had severe macular degeneration for 40+ years. Watching her give up driving, writing for the newspaper, etc. at an early age and never complaining about it, made me want to protect my eyes even more than before her misfortune. I really like my new frames and lenses, and Felix Gray offers a range of sizes, styles, and options to choose from. I wish that the company offered a few more colors like blue-green, champagne or shades of blue, just because those are my favorite hues. I am going to order another pair to be sure that I always have a pair in my vehicle for nighttime driving because some of the European manufactured headlights emit piercing blast of blue light which penetrate my eyes and leave me with a headache. I feel that having two pairs of blue-light blocking glasses will help me save my eyesight longer, because I will have a pair near my devices and also a pair in my car. I highly recommend Felix Gray glasses. I like them better than my prescription glasses that are supposed to have everything that opticians offer. If you are using computerized devices often, I suggest you take a look at Felix Gray’s website. You will probably find something you really like, at a particularly competitive price, and be on your way to helping save your own vision too.

As someone who spends hours nearly every day in front of a computer screen, I am very familiar with eye fatigue. So when I got these Felix Gray Blue Light Filtering Glasses, I used them as part of my normal routine parked in front of computer monitors. After using them for a few days I can say that they work so well, and that I like them so much, I give them a strong recommendation for anyone that works in front of a monitor.. The premium build quality was immediately noticeable when I took them out of the box and put them on. They are very comfortable and look and feel like lightweight designer frames. Design and aesthetics are subjective, but in my opinion these frames look and feel sharp. The frames open and close smoothly and fit nicely in the included hard case. Also included is a soft microfiber cleaning cloth embroidered with the Felix Gray logo. My visual acuity is excellent while wearing them, unlike cheaply manufactured lenses. The Sazerac Crystal Filter in the lens is virtually unnoticeable, so what I see when looking through them is nearly identical to what I see with my own eyes. There is an ever so slight visual difference, but nothing abnormal or distracting. Most importantly after hours of staring at a computer screen, I am experiencing significantly less eye fatigue when wearing these glasses. So even though these lenses are on the expensive side, I highly recommend them. I have tried cheap blue light filtering lenses before, and they are not worth it. Not only are cheap, heavy frames uncomfortable to wear, but cheap lenses massively distorted my vision and just didn’t work at reducing eye fatigue. Do yourself a favor and get these Felix Gray Glasses, your eyes are worth it.

As a 40 something I stare at various LCD, LED, OLED, and QLED screens all day long. I have good vision and don't normally wear glasses. Adding these Felix Gray blue light glasses into my daily routine has helped to relieve some eye fatigue from my daily activities. As I wear my glasses right now and type I feel like the fit of these glasses is really nice and snug. The style is very nice and upscale as they look like high end frames. The lens on these looks clear and transparent at first glance. Even when I wear them I can't seem to pick up on the blue light filtering out, but I know it's working as I've felt less fatigued in the evenings. I like the hardshell case that these Felix Gray Roebling glasses come in. The blue green case is sturdy and closes well to protect your eyewear investment. The cleaning cloth is also a nice addition to help ensure I can keep my lenses clean for the duration of my wear time. The frames on this particular pair of glasses looks very nice in a sazerac crystal design that has gotten a lot of attention from my close family and friends. Everyone has complimented me on the design and my look when I have worn these. Using these glasses in a work setting, work from home, or just simply at home watching tv/ phone / tablet is really more enjoyable. The clear lenses have no color distortion and allow you to still enjoy your day and view things without any oddities. Try these out and see if they help your eyes and give you some eye strain relief throughout your day. I'm hoping that the hinges on the frames will hold up over time and stay snug on my face. PRO: Elegant design Healthy eyes Less eye strain Case and cloth included CON: Long term build quality

I stare at a TV, computer monitor or cell phone pretty much all day with everything from gaming, working and leisurely browsing. After using these for about a week I can say that I do feel a difference in eye strain and less headaches. Even with my unhealthy habit of playing games till the wee hours of the morning and then going to bed, I actually feel like I have fallen asleep faster than I normally do. These are super clear, I have only seen a very slight difference in some blue gray colors when specifically flipping them on and off, but it is so minor that it could just be my imagination. I haven’t noticed any glare other than reflection from the frames. The frame is really light, but has kind of a generic cheap feel to them. Kind of like those reading glasses you can get at the drugstore although they are lighter than those. They might not be the most stylish frames to some, but when you just wear them while sitting on the couch or at the desk, what does it matter? Overall, whatever it is they put into these glasses to filter the blue light without distorting the color seems to be working. They don’t have any weird shade to them and look like any other pair of glasses without affecting your image. With a nice hard case and cleaning cloth you can take them with you anywhere. Certainly worth helping your eyes out.

Out of the box these glasses look beautiful and surely seem solidly built. One issue I saw immediately was that the temples don’t have springs. Mine is extremely tight on one side and I guess needs adjustment. I’m opening it very slowly so it won’t snap! Another thing, the case came cracked. Thankfully the case didn’t allow damage to the glasses, so that’s a positive from a negative. As for the glasses themselves, I wear prescription eyeglasses to see everything and I could slip these glasses either inside or outside my glasses and they fit well and were very comfortable. I didn’t care what they looked like at that point! I could easily see the tv at home for hours without my usual headache and I was able to look at a laptop screen for about 4 hours at a time comfortably and with absolutely no eye strain. And using my phone (for possibly hours at a time) was suddenly headache free!! It’s crazy to think removing glare and blue light would make such a difference, but it does! I would recommend these Felix Gray Roebling blue light filtering glasses without hesitation.

These glasses definitely cut the glare from the computer and help reduce strain on the eyes. They are stylish and ones I would select for prescription lenses. I spend much of my day looking at computers, phone screens and other light that strains my eyes. These ease that strain tremendously! They are comfortable to wear for a long computer session. The case is sturdy and stays tightly shut. You don't see the bluish tint like you do with some blue light glasses. The lenses are crystal clear and look like any other prescription glasses. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is that I would they were available with magnification. Have them available in standard magnifications similar to reading glasses you can buy at the pharmacy. I have prescription reading glasses and the computer is hard to read without them. I end up putting these over my prescription glasses. Not the best look but I get the benefit of both lenses. If these came in a variety of magnification, I would snap them up!

I stare at a computer all day, and I’ve been using blue light blocking glasses for years. I decided to try these glasses to see how they compared to the ones I’ve been using. So far, I really like them. Right out of the box, the glasses are elegant, and appear to be well made. The frames are stylish, and the lenses are practically flawless. The glasses I’ve been using have yellow-tinted lenses, so the clear lenses on these glasses have little to no color distortion, which is a huge plus when working with photos. I was unsure whether they would block as much blue light as my other glasses, but after hours of work, my eyes were not fatigued at all. The included case is also a nice touch; it’s not an afterthought, but rather a sturdy, stylish addition that will help keep your glasses protected when not in use. The only ‘problem’ I’ve had so far is that after an hour or so of wearing these glasses, I notice they begin to slide down my nose. Not a big deal since wiping off the bridge of my nose stops the sliding for another hour or so, but I might try some little pads to see if that will help. Overall I really like these glasses, they’re stylish and block blue light with minimal distortion of color.

The Felix Gray-Roebling blue light glasses are very nice. In fact, they feel and look like optician grade frames, arms, screws, etc. They are very stable and solid feeling and sit nicely on the face. The lenses have no distortions and to me, there was no color distortion that oftentimes happens with blue blocking lenses. The MSRP is not cheap, but the materials that make up these glasses is not cheap either. So, I requested these lenses because I am a CPA that literally just finished the 2022 tax season a few days ago. I am 63 years old and work upwards of 12-20 hours a day, 7 days a week through tax season as I try to get my work done. I have no choice but to be bombarded by blue light as I sit in front of 2 large monitors using various types of software to do what I do. My eyes are worn out and I need all the tools that I can to help with severe eye fatigue. The only negative that I see with these glasses is that they do not come in with reading corrective lenses. As you will see in my photo, I layered these with my reading glasses so that I could have the protection that I needed. It would be great if the manufacturer could develop these glasses in readers for those tha need correction for reading while working.

These are really nice blue blocker glasses. They fit well on my face, are not tight and don't cause pain behind my ears like some glasses I've owned can, and you can feel the difference when wearing. They have a slight yellow tint, are very clear to see through, and really help to keep annoying headaches from looking at the excel sheets too long at bay and squinting down. There is no magnification on these at all. I've had other than made me feel a little dizzy when putting them on, not so with these! Perfectly clear, no adjustment time needed! The frames have a nice brownish yellow tortoise shell coloring. They feel good on, don't slide down my nose too bad and are not heavy. The case that comes with it is of nice quality, feels like a nice grip kind of material in a navy-blue color with a super strong hinge that you don't want to get your skin caught in. If you are looking for some clear well fitting blue blockers, I most definitely recommend these. They are great for using on the computer or any screen that you are staring at.

I believe blue light glasses are very effective and have owned two pairs prior to trying out Felix Gray's Roebling blue light glasses. My brand new blue light glasses arrived within two business days via USPS inside a study case. They are very attractive - I love its round frame and the color (brownish amber). I've been wearing them for at least eight hours per day for the last five days and wish I could've given a better rating. I was disappointed that these glasses kept sliding down my nose but it's probably a unique issue for me. My nose bridge height is lower than most people, so I need my glasses to have adjustable nose pads, or something with a higher profile than what Felix Gray offers. It was annoying to keep pushing up the glasses multiple times a day, which I never had to do with my existing pairs. Also, Felix Gray's Roebling doesn't stay up on my head either. When I take off my glasses (blue light or not), I have a habit of putting them on my head but Felix Gray kept sliding right off - luckily, I was able to catch them each time, so they never hit the floor. I wish I could've loved these blue light glasses because they're very attractive and nicely constructed but they are not for me.

This is the 2nd pair of Felix Gray Roebling Blue Light Glasses I've purchased, that's how much I like them. I keep one pair at home for when I work from home, and another pair in my backpack for when I go into the office. I've worn glasses since I was a child and glasses shopping has always been a horrendous experience for me because I hate how most glasses look, but these are so stylish and just what I was looking for. You can tell a difference when you look at your screen (computer, phone, TV, etc.). The one issue I've had is that BOTH pairs I bought came with a cracked glasses case (like the liner on the inside), but that doesn't affect me terribly since I have plenty of cases from previous pairs of glasses.

I have three large 4K 28 inch monitors that I use for work every day. These glasses make a big difference with eye strain. The glasses are attractive and offer major relief for eye strain. The quality is very good and they come with a solid case and a nice cleaning cloth. Working with computers is very hard on our eyes and it is important to filter out some of the brightness caused by the lights from computer monitors. These filter out brightness that can cause eye strain and eye fatigue. At the end of the day, I am less tired and my eyes are less irritated. The shape and design look like prescription eyeglasses and they fit my face nicely. I can hardly notice that I even have them on. The nose fitting is cero comfortable as well as the sides of the frames. These can be used for gamers and IT professionals to help relieve eye strain. The difference is noticeable after wearing them for even one day. The construction is very high quality from the frames to the lenses to the case.

Blue light is known to cause headaches and migraines due to the strain on your eyes. The glasses are made very well from an overall perspective. The lenses are durable and the frame is made from metal and plastic resin. These perfectly fit true to form on my face and allowed for a comfortable wearing experience. I wore them over a week period and noticed some serious improvement after long sessions of working on the computer ten to twelve hours a day. As a person who suffers from migraines and headaches from staring at the computer all day. My eyes would twitch and water heavily every single day. First day putting them on it took about 30-45 minutes to get accustomed to the new view. Once I got past the initial phase I was rocking with now eye strain. After 12 hours my eyes Were not watering and I didn’t have a headache. Fast forward a week after using them I didn’t experience one headache. It has been truly a big relief to be able to work in comfort and not deal with headaches. I highly recommend these!

I spend a great deal of time, every day, on my mobile devices. Less often on my computer, but when I do, I game. Needless-to-say, I do notice when my eyes feel dry, strained, and tired. And even though I know it's advisable not to expose your eyes to any type of screen within an hour or so of going to bed, I do anyway. Much to the detriment of my poor overly stressed eyes. I've been wanting to get a pair of blue light glasses for a while now, so when these Felix Gray Roebling ones came along, I just had to try them. First off, they look stylish. And fit well. Nice and comfy. So are ideal for wearing for extended periods of time, if need be. They come with a case and cleaning cloth, which is important for keeping your new blue light glasses properly cared for. I was particularly concerned about whether these glasses would affect how I view color on my mobile devices' screens and PC's monitor. Fortunately, "Felix Gray's innovative proprietary blue light filtering lens technology" does what it does, and does it well. I didn't see any noticable color distortion, blurring of images, or glare. It may take some time for your eyes to adjust, and to simply get into the habit of wearing them, as it has been for me. Get these. Your eyes will thank you.

Pretty simple glasses, and are reasonably sturdy for long-term, everyday use. The frame is as solid as a mid-tier set of prescription glasses that you might find at a typical optometrist, and the lenses are also reasonably solid for this price point. Note that the lenses do not contain any other type of scratch-resistant coating. These are really for those who look at computer screens (or handheld device screens) for several hours every day. They're not going to cure anything, per se, but they do tend to ease eye strain over time. Essentially, these are a pair of glasses that filter light on the blue spectrum -- technically even from the sun (though they are not sunglasses). If you need reading glasses, this pair is definitely not for you. They will not correct any other types of vision issues that you might have. However, using these glasses consistently over time can help in reducing strain on your eyes. Bottom line: if you're interested in a pair of glasses that look stylish and are actually beneficial to your eye health, definitely look into picking a pair up.

These glasses are cute and have a good shape - with lots of lens space, so you don't have to adjust your head while looking at the computer screen. They seem fairly durable considering how lightweight they are. You can wear them for hours without having them feel heavy on the nose or behind the ears. Very comfortable. It's somewhat difficult to say if they truly block blue light and prevent eye strain since I was not experiencing problems prior to wearing them. My eyes still seem dry, but I trust that they are healthier for my eyes than not wearing them. There is no magnification on these which is good since I have a dual monitor setup and good eyesight for the distance they are at and do not need any enhancement. They should last a long time since I just leave them at my computer when I'm done working. They come in a very nice case, along with a cleaning cloth to protect them. Overall, I recommend them for anyone who works with a computer screen to prevent and minimize eye strain.

These Felix Gray blue light glasses are lightweight and very comfortable making it easy to wear them all day. They’re stylish as well but most of all, they seem to be making a difference. My daughter has been using them a lot and feels that there is a noticeable difference at night after using her computer all day. Often times she will have a slight headache or her eyes will feel strained. Since she’s been using these for a few days, she said that these symptoms are not anywhere close to what they normally are when she isn’t using anything. I’ve worn them a few times and really like that there isn’t any noticeable yellowing or color distortion on the lenses. There is also an anti glare coating which helps block out the extra light that comes off of the monitor. They stay clean longer than the generic pair that I use occasionally and when they do need to be cleaned, it’s super easy with the included cloth. They I also block UV light which will be good if reading outside and trying to protect your eyes. My next pair will be the same brand and I’m going to upgrade them to readers with the blue light filtering so I can use them when I’m reading small print on my tablet as that seems where I’ll get the biggest benefit.
