This grinder has been working perfectly for me so far. I make cold brew about once a week and espresso nearly every day and I love how easy it is to switch back and forth. I have a basic at-home espresso machine and it was pretty quick to dial in a grind that works for it. The magnet in the catch cup to help position it is great. There is a bit of static cling that can cause grounds to stick and then fall out after the cup is removed, but by pulling up the hopper lid and pushing back down to create a bellows effect and then tapping the sides once or twice I've cut down on that quite a bit (see photo for some grounds that escaped the cup). Also it is surprisingly quiet! I'm so glad I bought it, it's a lot easier than the hand grinder I was using for espresso and more consistent grind for the cold brew too.

My last grinder went out, which gave me an excuse to find an upgrade. After looking around for a grinder capable of doing both coarse grind for pour overs/ coffee machines and espresso grind I finally stumbled on the new Fellow Opus that came out only a couple of weeks ago. First impressions are very good, yes the outside is made of plastic, but it still doesnt feel cheap. It claims 41 grind settings, but i believe its actually more due to the Macro adjustments which you can make. The hopper lid includes two dosing compartments to help you rough estimate bean amounts, which was very accurate i found, at least for making 800ml of pour over. The grinds were very consistent and there was no static either, which is amazing. So far I absolutely love it.

Very silent, good for aeropress and pour-over, it is tricky to dial-in for espresso, it has a bit of retention and the built in anti static is not that efficient, so do RDT

This is a great product because the grind is perfect for espresso machines or pour overs. The only critique is the fact that beans still can get stuck or the grounds won’t come out completely.

Overall a decent grinder with a lot of features. It's hard to micro adjust for espresso but does the job. It retains grounds quite a bit too and have to give it a tap to get them all out. Over all It does the job ok.

Very consistent grind. Ease of use is great. It definitely does not eliminate the grind mess. A little pricey.

Really like this grinder other than it could use a better anti static feature. When it is humid, no problem. But when the weather is less humid grounds go everywhere and make a mess.

Best for filter coffee. Not the best grinder if you make espresso.with a 2-cup precision 58mm basket because it’s hard to get the correct setting dialed it. It’s not a stepless grinder

Real burrs and great grind consistency. Grind size adjustment steps on the outside can be a large jump, so there is a smaller adjustment switch underneath the hopper, which is a bit annoying and difficult to get to when you are dialing in your espresso.

Great grinder, once you get your setting dialed in it provides consistent grind size for espresso. I found using the lid and tapping a few times at the end of the grind I can get close to zero retention.

Really wish I didn’t miss return window.
Nearly every time I use this grinder, massive amounts of grinds fall out all over the place. The low profile of the stand makes cleaning up those spilled grinds a massive chore.
Also the grinder must run a minimum of 30 seconds even if you don’t need it to go that long. Not a huge deal there but it is kind of annoying that it can’t run only as long as it needs to.
