Mark Pavia a local film director from my area directed this homage to the 80's horror films. I am assuming he's been hard at work at this film for sometime. He has had success with a short film called Drag filmed in Lockport,IL to Stephen King's The Night Flier the past number of years. The film focuses on a driver who terrorizes a young girl throughout the film. Makenzie Vega who played Nicholas Cage and Tea Leoni's daughter in The Family Man is all grown up and looking very fine as a young lady. Bill Sage is the driver who chases her, torments her, and scares her with his intimidating appearance, look, black costume, mask, and gloves etc. The funny thing is this guy is just a regular person. He isn't a demon, monster, unstoppable killing machine, cannibal, or serial killer. That's what makes the film even more thrilling and suspenseful. I guess the lesson here is if you're a new driver at age 17, drive carefully and don't get into accidents because they could very well lead to some serious issues with particular people in the world who aren't always as nice as others. I enjoyed the film and the performances. Great VHS Retro cut features as well as Behind the Scenes. Thank You Scream Factory again!!

A tribute to 80s slasher films

I really enjoyed this film! A scary concept that really could happen. The film is a clear love letter that pays tribute to all the great slashers of the 80's. Its all here in FENDER BENDER -- suspense, tension, atmosphere and scares, all executed wonderfully -- I loved "the feel" of the film. Superb directing and cinematography, great acting, accompanied by an AMAZING synth score by Night Runner that fits perfectly. The killer is super creepy looking -- he's an extension of his car, and when he puts on his mask, he becomes his car stalking his victims. After watching you will think twice before you give out any personal information to a fellow motorist. "The Driver" could become a new icon in horror. Drive safely.

    Modern Slasher Flick

I picked this up after reading an interview with the director in Rue Morgue Magazine. The director also directed Stephen King's Night Flier, so that also peeked my interest. What we have here is a slasher film with a new twist on how the killer stalks his victims. This made it interesting, but without it, it would have been typical to the early 80s Slasher films. Overall, this one is mainly for Slasher completists, although with the modern tone and actions of the characters, a younger audience may relate and dig this one?

This movie is a great throwback to 80's slasher films. I watched the VHS cut first and it was like I was transported to 1985. Definitely pick this up if you enjoy 80's slashers.

Scary to think someone would do that. Gave it 4 because it could have included a digital copy and seems like most movies from here don't have the digital copy.

Wanted to live this one but was a little let down. That being said, if you can see it for free or rent it for pretty cheap, there is some fun to be had. The good: Cool killer, fun synth music score, felt like an 80's slasher. The bad: Annoyingly bad characters and not in the fun bad 80's kind of way.

This is Shout Factory's first attempt at producing a film and they did a great job. The story can get predictable but overall it's definitely worth a viewing if you're into this genre.

Fender Bender is an intense crash-and-slash thriller that brings you back to a time when the boxes on the shelf at your local video store beckoned you with masked, knife-wielding maniacs and a twisted sense of morals.
