Ferris Bueller's Day Off is a classic from the West Coast mentality just as much as Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Every one who lived thru the 80's either saw it and came out smiling or should see it. It's must see for Baby Boomers!

One of the best movies from the 80's (and there's a lot of gold from that decade... coming from a "gen z" guy). It's a must own for me.

This is such a great ole classic 80’s film! EVERYONE wanted to be “Ferris” for a day. Matthew Brodrick in the role of Ferris Bueller, fleshed out with his girlfriend Sloan (Mia Sara) playing the sweet, sensitive, and trusting love interest, his best friend Cameron ( played with such great hilarity and sensitive doofiness (Alan Ruck), his peeved Principle, Mr. Ed Rooney’s ( Jeffery Jones) need to prove how tough he can be and falling seriously short, along with Ferris’s sister Jean “Shauna” Bueller, ( Jennifer Grey before her nose job) who aside from getting a car for her birthday, cannot seem to catch the breaks her brother Ferris does when getting away with his outrageous antics. All the way to LITERALLY the very end of the film.. t h r o u g h the credits even…, we watch poor Mr Rooney on most likely the worst day of his life, inching his way back to his high school…, encountering irritating barriers along the way. Until Ferris shows back up to tell you .. GO HOME! It’s over! It’s done. Lololol. With such disdain and shock that you would still be there in your seat, staring at the screen into his home, his life. A great watch! Lots of fun watching Matthew and Alan play these roles!

Beautiful steelbook on this movie! I love it all the way through. Now, at least we get some artwork that is pretty nice, even on the actual disc instead of the bland gray or blue shade. It has a nice glossy finish to it also, rather than the matte type. Looking forward to the others from 1986, "Some Kind of Wonderful" and "Pretty In Pink" from John Hughes. The movie looks and sounds great. It is one of the '80s classics for certain and Matthew did a great job. It does include a Digital copy. Pictures of it are on the listing here on Ebay. Well done!

    One Of My Favorites!

Ferris Bueller's Day Off has an elegantly simple, effective story structure, a classic example of separate plotlines that move concurrently, then tie themselves together at the end. There are two plot threads in this movie: (1) The story of what Ferris, Cameron and Sloane do during the day off, and how these characters, primarily Cameron, are affected and changed by it. (2) The attempts of Ferris' sister Jean and Dean of Students Edward R. Rooney to expose Ferris. At the end of the movie, the two plotlines converge and resolve each other when Ferris, Jean and Rooney come together at last, and it's Jean, changed by the events of her own "day off," who finally saves Ferris from Rooney.

We have movies that come out of nowhere once in a blue moon and they catch us by surprise and this is one of them. When you can take a simple plot like a kid who skips high school on one given day and have him live the dream even if for just this one moment... well now, you have something clicking. Needs to be in your collection for sure.

This is in my top list of all time. Def. my favorite film from the 80's, right in front of the Goonies. I would have loved a 4K upgrade, would still gladly buy one in the future. I bought this because of my love for this movie, and the fact that in came in a beautiful steelbook.

This steelbook arrived without any dings or dents, which is awesome because it is a very nice looking front and back. Sometimes steelbooks don't look that cool with the image they choose, but this is a nice cover and back. No dents or dings either. Five stars for that. Five stars for the film. It's a great film.

I first saw this movie in the 1980's. It's about a high school student who decides to play hooky for a day and kick around downtown Chicago. Completely unrealistic and implausible, but who didn't have that fantasy? It's a timeout from the humdrum of daily life. Just pure fun!!

If only I had been as cool as Ferris! But my HS SQUAD still hangs tight even now 35+ years later! So we WON the GAME of LIFE! Also used by INTELLEGENCE AGENTS to just get a laugh about the failings of MODERN DAY politics that all started WAY BACK in HIGH SCHOOL. MADtv and Key & Peele steal liberally from this film! So totally worth a REWATCH any RAINY or SICK/Mental Health Day for kids to grannies! Totally SUBVERSIVE!

The slacker that blends in with all of high schools different groups in ways that makes everyone wish they could be him. Except for the highschool currency officer truancy officer who wants to stop him at all costs. Loads of laughter.
