It took a few attempts to figure out how to use this attachment most effectively but once that was accomplished, look out sausage making,!

This product is good for mixing various foods. But it 's kind of a problem to have a lot of residue inside.

I've always wanted a meat grinder at home. While this seems like an odd thing, I grew up in a restaurant family and we had the big industrial one and I thought it was super cool how you could drop in a chopped up steak and a burger would come out the other side. The KitchenAid meat grinder gives me that experience at home. No more guessing what's in the pre-ground meat at the store. I buy the cuts I want and make my hamburgers, meatballs, and sausages to the texture and flavor I want. The only catch with this one if the meat is fatty, it needs to be fairly firm going into the grinder or it will jam, so I find it helps to pre-cut then freeze the meat for several hours before grinding. It doesn't need to be rock hard, but it shouldn't be "palm soft" either. The meat grinder works quickly and efficiently though I wish the meat would drop down instead of horizontally because sometimes it can make a mess when there's a clog that suddenly gets cleared. The attachment is easy to disassemble and clean.

This product is easy to clean. blade area has to be cleaned out multiple times while using, collects grizzle. Easier to use with two people in order to keep meat cold. Dishwasher safe.

Good poduct at very reasonable price, always top brands

Clogs up easily even with small clean bits of meat. The second time I used it the speed selector/on off somehow stopped working and the machine got very hot. I like very lean ground meat so I purchase small roasts or budget cut steaks and trim everything off before grinding. I had been using my food processor but it's a nightmare to clean and bought this in hopes it would make the task easier. Don't risk messing up your $300 machine for a $30 attachment!

Ordered this online and they sent me a used with a lot of grayish something inside of the grinder, I believed it’s a store return by the other customer who used it and didn’t wash it and return the product. Gross! Nasty! Best Buy should always check the product first before they shipped it out!!!! If I can only give zero star, I will!

For the last couple of years I've been using the old fashioned hand grinder. What a pain! So this year i decided it's time to stop fooling around and invest in a meat grinder for my daughters stand mixer! This product is amazing! What used to take us hours - took us minutes!!! Now i just need to find some other recipes and things to use it for :)

good product to grind your own fresh meat for best tasting burgers!

My husband and I received this attachment for our mixer as a wedding gift. We use it to grind up venison into hamburger. At first we weren't for sure if it could handle the amount of meet that we were grinding in one session, but we were pleasantly surprised. The grinder kept up the entire time and not once did anything get clogged up. This is a great addition to our mixer and will come in handy often.
