i had never seen this before but my girl insisted that i had to watch it, as a fan of musicals i was surprised that i had never looked into this before. its a great musical depicting the struggle during ww2 and love in a little village.

My wife loved this movie from her childhood and when I saw it, I just knew I had to get it. I had never watched it before and fell instantly in love with it after watching it with my family. My daughter loved it and it felt good to have the next generation exposed to such good quality classic movie.

I purchased this Blu-Ray as a gift and the recipient was happy. However, since I haven't actually seen the movie play, can't review the quality. However, I've not had any issues with previously purchased blu-rays from Best Buy, so running with the assumption they worked.

One word. Tradition. This is one of the great Broadway musicals, adapted painstakingly for the screen. "Fiddler on the Roof" is the story of a simple farmer (Topol, "For Your Eyes Only") and his Jewish family living in the town of Anatevka in the Russian Empire of 1905. Tevya finds his life slowly spinning out of control as he marries of his daughter and finds his way of life threatened by the government's expulsion of the Jews. The songs in this film are rich and memorable, the acting superb, and the setting impeccable. I would recommend this film to both history students and theatre students alike.

I had seen this movie with I was little. I bought it as a gift for my parents who would enjoy it. I often like the action car chase crank up the speakers in my man cave movies. But this was just one of those movie classics that is nice to watch WITH the family and everyone enjoys.

This one of my all time favorite musicals and I'm very pleased to see what a great job they did bringing this to Blu Ray. The image is pristine and the audio clean and powerful. I highly recommend this to anyone who is a fan of this film adapted from the stage.

You may be saying she rates all her purchases high. Well, most are movies and they are ones I love so it's natural that I would rate them awesome. Anyhow, this one you just need to watch.

This classic American musical comedy-drama film produced and directed by Norman Jewison is a definite must-have! It won three Acadamy Awards!!! The music to this film is truly unforgettable, and the adaptation from Broadway to movie screen is undeniable!

If you have never seen this, get it now with Tool as the main character. The DVD had wonderful sound and color. The music, the story, and the dancing are wonderful, as is this DVD.

I grew up watching this movie almost every Sunday. I am excited to show it to my kids. I'm also intrigued to be watching it with new eyes since I now know about the Holocaust and what really happened to the Jewish people.

The B&W satellite speakers are exceptional. Sound is crystal clear. The speakers are small but dynamic. Highly recommend the M1 speakers.

Traditions are important and this movie shows the importance of traditions and the importance of being flexible to accommodate the changing of the times and people. Filled with love, family comes first.

I have to say this movie is one of my all time Classics. The acting, story line, the history of that period made this one amazing cinema experience. This is a must see and you will probably laugh, and cry as the story unfolds.

The audio and video of Fiddler on the Roof is presented in stunning, with a warm film-like transfer. Not as crisp as today's blockbusters, but well worth a view and a listen. It will make you appreciate your 7.1 surround!

Fiddler on the Roof is one of my top 10 favorites, and I watch it at least twice a year. I finally got around to replacing my DVD with the BluRay version and now enjoy watching it even more.

Two in one...dvd and blue ray disc. Perfect! Now I can use my blue ray player or old school DVD player. Nice picture compared to the old VHS tape. Great classic musical too!

A great musical from 1971 about faith and family looks spectacular on blu ray. The sound in 7.1 stereo is amazing! Also includes many great extras about this wonderful film. Very highly recommended!

One of the best musicals you can watch. It has a great storyline and very good acting.

I love love love this musical its such a great show, from everything the dancing and the songs, and etc. Don't hesitate to buy just do it.

If you're a fan of this film, you definitely need to check out the 40th Anniversary blu-ray edition. Video quality looks fantastic and contains a 7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio mix!
