Let be honest. These movies might be watchable if Charlie Hunnam had played Christian. Dakota Johnson is a sweetheart. I actually met her while she was filming Date and Switch. She's an angel and plays the part well. The dialogue and awkwardness of the cast are what turns me away from it yet I still keep watching them and purchasing them so I'm lying to myself and the world. I love them. I love the cheese. The horrible music. It's addicting. The steelbook is wonderful except my store had 5 copies total and 4 of them were destroyed. Completely crushed and smashed and ripped apart and they actually tried to sell it to me like that. Then they let me open all 5 copies until we found one that was in tact. Drip. Drop. Dripping.

Definately as good as the first one. It was ok but something was missing. I think it was the tension from the two main characters that was in the first movie

The second installment in this series reveals more about the male character's upbringing which apparently had an affect on his adult 'behavior' that we saw in the first movie. There's more of a love story developing in this movie which actually makes me want to see the next one (and final?) coming out next year. There's a lot of issues that I could get into about this story but it would mean a long treatise and I'm not gonna go there. If you liked the first movie I think you'll like this one ----- maybe even more.

The film stars Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan and as in the first film this pair of actors are really the only reason to see this movie. Some have said they lack onscreen chemistry, I think they do, their commitment to this story-line is very impressive. The amount of trust as actors in each other and the implicit trust their characters have, is all up there on the screen. Of course the story is silly, that's why it is so amazing what is pulled off [no pun intended] in this contrivance.

I've followed the entire series since it was released. Story is about a self made billion that has a personal relationship preference. We see in the 50 shades of gray, the girls point of view, and is this 50 shades darker, more from his view point. This is a love story, with several unique twists and as they both come to grips with their feelings. I would recommend this to my friends that have an open mind about relationships and open to exploring a different venue from the norm of those relationships.

Not very titillating even though there's nudity. But I thought Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan have better chemistry in this sequel compared to the first one. If you liked the first movie, the 2nd is pretty good, and by next Valentine's Day we would have the 3rd one. It's not that great a movie, but somehow I'm curious to see how it ends. pales in comparison to 9 & 1/2 days with Kim Basinger (who made a cameo in this movie) and Mickey Rourke at the peak.

I purchased "Fifty Shades Darker [Includes Digital Copy] [Blu-ray/DVD] [2017]", the sequel to the "Fifty Shades of Grey" only to see what the story line would do next. It was an interesting turn of events in this sequel that let you know that money and power does not always make things better along with the undercurrent of the theme of the series. This sequel sets the stage for greater things to come - so it leaves you thinking.

Again, I was concerned about watching the movie and was not sure it was something I could watch. It is very well done to portray the subject it was intended to provide to audiences. It is not for those that are sensitive to the subject matter. I was very surprised at how different it was from what I believed it to be. It think it is worth watching. I have seen all three and appreciated how well they engaged in the subject of the story.

I'm actually kind of embarrassed that I even bought this movie. However, i read the books when they first came out... the writing is terrible. But I was mainly curious. When the movies started coming out, i was of course curious how they compared to the books. The movies are actually way better than the books are. I wouldn't recommend this movie if you are not really into sexually explicit movies. But otherwise, it is fun to watch!
