Watching this I was a bit disappointed. It felt very incomplete. I t would have been hard to do a comprehensive documentry about martial arts films but still I expected more. It starts out with animation and I was wondering if this was the right movie. It was but seems like a weird way to go through the history of kung fu. I am a huge kung fu geek so each section seemed incomplete and rushed. This probably should have been longer. This focuses on Chinese films only. I really think it should have been more complete. It should have included some samurai films and Tony Jaa's films Granted these are not technically kung fu but I still wish they had been mentioned. I do think this would be really good for a kung fu newbie. And it was cool that the movie Mr. Vampire was shown
