Final Fantasy Type-0 is a combination of what fans want from the series and what they wanted. A fantasy rich story filled with drama, intense action and unique characters drive the story forward at a remarkable pace. The combat complements this by giving players the chance to finally play an active role in fighting, allowing players to run around the field, attack at will, and switch between your fighters at will. Each fighter has a distinctive move set and style of fighting, utilizing each fighters strengths and weakness is paramount to ensure success and a top rating.
If you're a fan of the series, or RPGs in general, than Type-0 is a must buy. If you however have a sour taste from RPGs or the Final Fantasy series this game won't win you over.

I liked this game. I hadn't played a FF game since crisis core, which I loved. Though the story didn't grab me the way crisis core did, the story in this game is great. Very mature tone. This is however a remake from a PSP game. And it shows. Most of the cutscenes were updated but the textures of the game needed some work. The character models were good though. Took me about 35 hours to complete the game and another more hours to beat it on a harder difficulty, I literally skipped all the cut scenes. Unless it was for a new level that I hadn't played. If you play the game a second time, there are levels that are unlocked that weren't previously in the first play through. All in all, it was a good game.

I've been leary of the recent final fantasies as they are haven't exactly meshed with the Type-0f game I normally play. Taking a chance on this one, I have no regrets. The story is intruiging and plays on the darker potentials of the Crystals and their intentions. Gameplay is fun, and challenging enough to make me come back for more after a rough encounter in the wilds. Happy Hunting!

This was a previously only released in Japan PS Vita game back in 2011 that was ported to PS4/Xbox One. This is being billed as the Final Fantasy for an older crowd and for the most part it is able to accomplish that. The story here in the game is a bit on the thin side as it follows you and your team of fighters from location to location liberating the towns, invading others, and still defending more, but it still hits you in the gut from time to time.
There are plenty of RPG elements and even some real time strategy taking place. You pick your team as you go into battle with each having their own specialties.
The cut scenes as in most Final Fantasy games are simply outstanding. The voice acting is poor in some parts, but can still give you an emotional one-two punch from time to time.
All in all the game is a great one. There are wonderful elements of strategy, fast paced combat action, and even oddly fun time management sections. You won’t want to miss this addition to the Final Fantasy family.

The game is good but I feel like they are just buying time for FFXV. The graphics are not gorgeous but the overall game play is fun and the story is good. (Graphics are not that big of a deal)

As a fan of Final Fantasy games for longer than I can remember, I do recommend this one, but more on the basis of value. The gameplay has been modified and for some, it might be an improvement. The visuals are awesome. I'm a bit older now, so this might be my personal problem. The price was great and the game I'm enjoying. Pick this up if you are a fan of the series.

This is a solid game. I haven't flipped it yet but I've got a pretty good feel for what it offers. If you're the traditionalist looming for the classic FF experience, this is not the game for you. This is more like a final fantasy dynasty warriors hybrid than your average turn-based game but it is super fun if you don't mind deviating from the formula. It's got all the classic moves like chocobos and summons so even the traditional fan can get a kick out of it

Type 0 hd is a good game even if a bit short. However multiple playthroughs are required to get the whole story. However it still does not feel like final fantasy to me for i like the old turn based combat better. However this game is still fun even if lacking in content. But what do you expect from a hd port of a psp game. If it had more content i would consider it a must own. Hopefully they continue to more with this setting for i see great potential in it.

Just another hd remake of a mediocre game in the series, graphics were mediocre (I know it was remastered) but still. Im usually sucked in by final fantasy storyline but this one didn't intrigue me at all after like 5 hours of playing went back and traded it in. best thing about the game was the demo IMO. If you loved it or liked it on psp and want to replay it, go for it. It is a remake for a specific fan base and it does look better than it did on psp so in that case it's worth playing, but not for the ridiculous 60 dollar price. Maybe a 30 dollars game at best. If you are looking for a new FF to fall in love with, this isn't it.

Having played the PSP release in Japanese (without knowing Japanse), this HD release was essential for enjoying the game. Overall, they improved the graphics and the gameplay. The PSP original was difficult, but they made this release manageable even for the casual audience.

OK so this game is actually pretty good. Its the best ff we've gotten since X. That's not saying much but it has a really cool and unique battle system. The game is pretty slow the first hour except for the awesome opening cutscene But right after that it opens up big time and becomes really fun. Type 0 is clearly a psp game though. The graphics are straight up bad and the camera sucks booty. type 0 has a lot going for it so it overcomes it's faults and the characters are actually not annoying for the first time in forever. All in all I'm actually surprised at how good this is so if you love final fantasy than pick this up.

I am really enjoying the type-0 at first I got it because of the ff15 demo ( which I also love and is patiently waiting for it to come out). The fighting mechanics is good though a few of the 14 playable charters I would choose not to play with because of the lacklusterness (is that a word) regardless I think it is a great game and a must play for any final fantasy fan.

This game is a port of the Japanese PSP title that came out several years ago. The story is a little hard to follow and will probably require multiple playthroughs to get everything. I found the game to be good graphically, but you can tell it was on a portable system before. If you are a Final Fantasy fan I will definitely say check it out if you haven't already.

takes a bit to figure out the controls, but then flows well and easy to control, camera tough at times, but really a non-issue, different combat (not turn based) than most final fantasy's but still great

I admit I'm only about 10 hours into playing the game and I like it enough to keep playing, but it does seem to be somewhat linear and restricted. Some of the tasks required seem a bit easy and meaningless but otherwise it's a pretty fun game.

Graphics are good but there are a lot of cut scenes. Fights with monsters consists of button mashing and choosing your parties for missions is not intuitive. If you like other Final Fantasy games you will at least enjoy the game.
