Return to a Classic!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Final Fantasy XII''s original release was slightly marred by coming out on a system that was in its last days (the PS2) and implementing an MMO-influenced combat system that utilized a macro programming system which was not very well received by all FF fans. Now, given a second chance at life on all current consoles, FF XII returns in all its glory and then some, with higher res graphics, better performance (especially on the Xbox One X with the highest frame rate available). Its once ahead-of-its-time combat system is not so alien to modern gamers as is its open world design. This is a fantastic game, with excellent writing and voice acting - perhaps the best writing in a Final Fantasy game, with a plot dealing with empires and war and focusing on a group of characters that are grounded and not your typical superheroic chosen ones out to save the world. The gameplay is fluid, always fun, and there is always a sense of progression, with 12 varied classes of which each character can select two at some point in the game. Hopefully this re-release is successful enough to merit a return to its world and systems someday.

Classic Game Remaster
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are a fan of the Final Fantasy Series, this game is a must, especially how it got remaster with better graphics, I am loving it every second of it. It has a old school game feeling like I had before but this time it is on Xbox for the first time ever. Such an amazing story and classic combat control.

Best Performance Version
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After hearing that the Xbox One was the only console that got to experience this at 60FPS, I promptly bought this version. They've made a lot of changes to the accessibility of this game. On one hand, the super fast mode is welcome to helping this game's PS2-era pacing catch up to modern ages, but in a series so we'll known for already being very easy, the difficulty didn't need to be nerfed so hard. That aside, it's still an incredibly well written game, and a welcome trip back into Ivalice... and with performance benefits that the Switch and PS4 don't get, the Xbox One version is the best way to experience FFXII.

Best FF title

The best way to play one of the best FF games
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Xbox One version of FF12 is the best way to experience this game if you're not concerned about hand-held play with the Switch. All of the post-PS4 release updated with native 4K 60 frame rate. I really was hoping the PS4 release would get a patch to at least update the in-game differences, but with that not likely this is the definitive version of Final Fantasy XII.

Playing in 2020
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a new JRPG to play and couldn't find one - so finally got around to playing this game. THB, I find a lot of the dialogue annoying, but it does allow you to skip. The fighting and level up system is pretty good. I think one extra active character in the party would have just made this even better. 10 hours in - I recommend this - if its too slow, you can even speed it up! X2 or X4 (I use X2, X4 is barely manageable).

Another Great FF title embraces Xbox One
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age is an excellent remaster of the classic game. All Xbox One Final Fantasy fans finally get to play the game with the additions and modifications originally made to the previously Japanese only released International Zodiac Job System version, along with some long-awaited changes that brought the 2006 release updated to modern standards. I've loved Final Fantasy XII ever since it originally launched on PS2, but the additions of autosave and map-overlay features were highly appreciated and definitely long overdue. It may be a remaster of a decade old game, but it's welcomed and well done remaster for Xbox Gamers. Finally, after 14 years, Final Fantasy XII is officially playable on the Xbox One family of consoles. Changes such as adding the OST-quality soundtrack option and allowing for New Game + from the start are noteworthy, but not really earth-shaking. Zodiac Age’s Xbox port also adds “cheat” options in the in-game menu for infinite license points or Gil. These are definitely nice options to have and pair well with New Game + if you’re looking for more of a casual or quick run through of the game. Final Fantasy XII's Xbox version is a good port of an excellent game. It's not remarkably different from the original version of the game, but it's remarkably faithful and relatively bug-free. It's still a PlayStation 2 game at its core, and no amount of cranked up anti-aliasing or fleshing out, but it's still a visually distinct game with great art direction and a stunning localization. I'd highly recommend Xbox Final Fantasy fans check out this remaster of a great classic from Square Enix.

Great
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this game and the final fantasy series I got an amazing deal for 15 dollars off the original price. The only reason I gave 4 starts was because it came to gamepass a few days later after my purchase and delivery was a longer than expected but other than that great service provided with purchasing and delivering the game.

This game brings back so many memories. They did a great job with the remaster and updating all the graphics. If you're a Final Fantasy fan this game will not disappoint and it's one of my favorites!

Older kid on side is still cool.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A great addition to all the next gen remasters 10 and 10.2 of course. 12 comes with all the extra goods I missed the first time around. Graphics, Cuts are close to current gen. The nostalgia is fore front.

||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game was amazing when it launched for PS2 and the remake makes seem brand new. The music is fantastic, the story line is great, and the gameplay is flawless. I’m so glad it finally came to XBox.

It’s final fantasy
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice upgrades from the original in terms of visuals and frame rates. Pretty fun game but it can get grindy and there are sudden difficulty spikes. The fast-forward option helps with the grind, though.

New game to try out

First time playing this one
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.im a fan of final fantasy games and they tried to change some things up with this one like the battle system. good news is they diddnt mess it up like some later titles. 4X speed mode makes grinding a breeze and makes it an enjoyable way to visit this title . this is my first play through and im enjoying it not to be missed

Not your average turn based jrpg
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent and underrated jrpg that’s finally available with the Japanese exclusive content. I spent over 100 hours with this game back on the ps2 and still had multiple things I needed to accomplish, definitely worth the $20.

Chill FF title with hints of enjoyment.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's final fantasy 12 on the Xbox one, you can double the speed for faster farming. You can relive the moments of 2006 and realize the story is okay like you remember, it's lacks depth and interest in the story, cutscenes are way to quiet. It's chill Ivalice time travel to the past of disappointment and gambits.

Would recommend
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is a gem. It honestly isn't for everyone since the game style is very dated and it requires time to learn the system. This version of the game has better graphics.
