So much of this game is great I hate that elements of it keep me from giving it 5 stars. Graphics great, Combat great, story good, open worldish good, side quests....good with reservations.
What kept the game from being amazing for me was the car....a central piece of the story. I enjoyed the car....for about an hour...the rest of the time I found it tedious and boring. You can choose to skip the car rides...miss events and exp and AP point and spend only a shorter time waiting for a load screen. If the game didn't have so many side quests that needed the car I might have been okay with the driving but when you have quests that send you diving for 5 minutes to take a picture and then driving back 5 minutes you wonder why you are playing a game that feels like a run to the store to get milk. And not as fun because you are in the backseat.
If you like final fantasy and RPG games you will enjoy it maybe even love it. The "real" concepts in the game left me feeling bored.
While not as polished as FFXV try World of Final Fantasy its cute and funny and well balanced.

I had a great time playing in the open world as someone new to the franchise. It was a bit of a high and low, though....great at first...then a little slow and boring...but it ended on a high with post end game content.

I really enjoyed the adventure with the bros. The battle system is quite satisfying. Didn't really enjoy the rushed parts of the last few chapters. I felt that they could've explored and expanded the world of ruin. Wasted opportunity imo and you only get to see one character that you know and others are just generic npc's. smh.

Story was interesting. Game looks amazing. Combat was good. Then it all comes to a halt by the most mundane last few hours...

FF franchise is still moving along well. Great graphics, new combat, and good story. My only complaints are travel time and the camera can get a bit janky.

Combat and visuals are fantastic and a joy, but this game is plagued by having too big of a world and not much to do in it. There are a lot of fetch quests and not enough quality content to make this game enjoyable. Your party is great though! They have a lot of small, but significant interactions with each other.

One day im preparing fish for a cat, the next my country and life are put in jeopardy and despair. Like all FF titles it is visually stunning to look at. The new action focused combat is different but an okay alternative to the past atb systems. New elements add alot to the game. SE tried a lot of new things here and all in all I think most of it worked. A good game if your into FF or not or even just more action focused RPG's.

I got the Best Buy version of FFXV because it came with a chocobo beanie. When the game rang up it charged me for the season pass which I thought was included in the price, so that was a bit sketchy.
In retrospect I should have waited for the new kingsglaive version but I was not aware it was coming out so soon after I purchased this version. On the plus side you can upgrade to kingsglaive for a lower cost so it isn't too bad.
The game itself is excellent, there are a few areas with mechanics that caused myself and many others some issues but once you get past that part it is alright. The flow of the game is unusual; in past games you were able to go somewhat at your own pace, but in my experience with FFXV, I spent a majority of the time in the first few chapters and the end of the game came all at once. I realize there is a lot of post game content, but it could probably have been implemented better.

This game is quite simply amazing that has a simplistic combat system that is easy to understand and enjoy. The open world nature of the game is very well designed and is a blast to play. Definitely my Game of the Year.

First want to say, BestBuy honored a pricing sku mistake so they are awesome for that.
In regards to the game. It starts off slow and you're mesmerized by the open world, graphics, and slick combat system. However the game suffers from terrible pacing issues and an equally terrible story. It's really sad because it had so much potential to be something truly great.
I've read that an employee that helped in the production if FFXV stated that nearly 50% of the content of the game was dropped. And from the feel of the game, I can totally see that.
Maybe the DLC will help with fleshing out the story; but having already beat the game, I'm not sure I'll want to revisit FFXV.
If you're dead set in getting this game, wait for a sale.

FFXV breaks many sterotypes of the series. The road trip adventure theme seemed weird to me at first, but I got into it and made the excitement and boredom of coasting down the highway really relatable. This game has the best leveling up system in a FF ever. You don't need to level grind much, but if you want to you can easily max your level to 99 with the right items if you find level grinding boring or dont have much time to burn playing games. combat is similar to a Kingdom Hearts game.
The graphics are amazing! The lighting during daytime is the best in any game I've seen besides MGSV Phantom Pain. The in-game car radio plays many of the popular tracks from past FF games which should bring back nostalgia to many.

It was worth the wait. I spend hours cruising around Eros completing quests. The combat system itself it what keeps drawing me back in. Awesome graphics, but the story gets choppy in a lot of places.

The gameplay and open world structure of FFXV is extremely satisfying, and this makes up for the fact that the story is not told in the same way as past, more linear FF games. Absolutely recommend.

FFXV is a really good game with a few minor set backs. The game play is really fun and it has a decent story. You should watch the movie and the YouTube short stories before you play. Traveling in the game can be really boring but doesn't ruin the game.

Final Fantasy is now taking on a more open world game style, and the combat is a lot more interactive. The game also looks great, which is even better on PS4 Pro.

A lot of the combat is simplified but there is engought depth to make this worth a play through. Much improved over the LIGHTNING trilogy. Also one of the best looking games on PS4 and XBOX one.
Be aware the DLC season pass codes were not sent to me when I ordered ONLINE. The CODES for this collection seem to PRINT on the receipt if you buy it at an BB location itself. So double check if they gave you the SEASON PASS CODES carefully. If not you will have to bring it back to a BB location or send it back.
Comes with a BENIE.
