This sequel is basically a rehash of the original Finding Nemo movie, but that's about the only nit I have to pick. The story is charming and colorful, with the 4K treatment really allowing the visuals to pop! Comes with a UHD digital copy as well!

I really enjoyed this movie. I found it to be just as well made as the first one in terms of CGI quality and voice acting. I didn't think the story was as good as Finding Nemo. Finding Nemo was overall just a better adventure story with all the things Marlin and Dory had to go through to cross the ocean. In Finding Dory they have to cross the ocean again but this time they just do it. They have done the ocean crossing within the first 10 minutes of the movie. The rest of the adventure takes place in a single location. It's still very well done and highly entertaining. But Finding Nemo is one of those rare 6 star movies that is hard to equal. Finding Dory earns a 5 star rating. Just because it's not as good as one of the best animated movies of all time doesn't mean it's not still really good. Dory is the dominant character in this one as opposed to Finding Nemo where Nemo, Dory, and Marlin all shared screen time. In this on its 75% Dory. Hank The Octopus (voiced by Ed O'Neil) becomes the second major character. It's a cool character that shows a lot of growth from a selfish single minded mentality to someone who cares about others. I absolutely loved the message of Finding Dory, which was all about loyalty to friends and never giving up when they need your help. There is a lot about facing your fears and finding out what you're really capable of as well. I'm a huge fan of that whole message too. John Ratzenberger's character is REALLY subtle in this one. He's in every Pixar film. Sometimes he has a major role like in Cars. Sometimes he's a cameo. This time he's got a REALLY tiny cameo with an altered high pitched voice.

I love these steel books. Great film too, of course. I think any collector would be happy with this.

Directed by Andrew Stanton (Finding Nemo, WALL-E) and Angus McLane (Burn-E) from a screenplay by Stanton and Victoria Strouse (October Road), Finding Dory is a rarity among sequels - it's at least as good as its predecessor and it tells a story that's actually worth making a feature-length movie to tell it. It's sweetly sentimental and yet amazingly well written, a story where every detail has been thought through and serves a purpose in the telling of the story. Finding Dory begins what seems like a short time after the end of Finding Nemo. Dory (Ellen DeGeneres), the regal tang who suffers from short-term memory loss, now lives in the same aquatic community as clownfish Marlin (Albert Brooks) and his young son Nemo (this time voiced by Hayden Rolence). While helping (or at least trying to) Nemo's fish-school class, Dory suddenly remembers that she has a family, from whom she apparently became separated from when she was very, very young, younger even than Nemo. Realizing this, Dory becomes determined to find them, even though all she has to go on are a handful of hazy memories that she can barely hang on to. Concerned about her inability to remember things, Marlin and Nemo accompany Dory to make sure nothing happens to her. There is, of course, trouble along the way, but as in any Disney film, she ends up getting a lot of unexpected help from a variety of sources that most notably include a cantankerous octopus named Hank (Ed O'Neill) who's missing a tentacle, a near-sighted whale shark named Destiny (Kaitlin Olson) and an insecure beluga whale named Bailey (Ty Burrell) who's lost the ability to echo-locate. As you can probably guess, dealing with disabilities is a recurring theme in Finding Dory, reminding us in a number of subtle ways that just because someone can't do everything doesn't mean that they can't do anything. What particularly impressed me after the movie was done was how well written it was. Nothing is wasted and every detail that's introduced ends up mattering in some way, whether it's a current trait of Dory's that we discover ends up having roots in her past or something learned in an earlier scene ends up being used as the film hurtles towards its climax. It's all so neatly tied together and flows so seamlessly that you can tell that the writers put an enormous amount of time and care into the screen play to get everything just right. Another thing that came to me after the film was over was that the title - Finding Dory - is not what people initially think. It's not about Marlin and Nemo trying to find Dory this time around. It's about Dory trying to find herself - her family, her past, and all of the little things she's forgotten but which nonetheless shaped her into who and what she is. Highly, highly recommended for anyone who likes dazzling animation combined with memorable characters in an extremely well-written story.

I love Disney, and I love Dory. This movie is a lot of fun and is filled with new characters that Dory meets in her quest to find her family. Dory has great optimism in the face of adversity, a quality that would serve us all well.

Disney have a knack of producing great movies that are just as enjoyable as the first time you watch them. Plus added bonus of the digital copy means the movie can go anywhere with you on your media devicess.

Just as good as the first one and love having the steenbok for my collection.

I ordered the Finding Dory DVD using BestBuy.com, and it was a competitive price with free shipping. The package arrived quickly, and was in perfect order. It's such a cute movie, with appeal to all ages.

Finding Dory has never looked better. The 4K presentation is spot on with colors, detail and depth. The audio enhances the visuals and just creates a totally immersive experience (no pun intended).

Finding Dory was a great sequel to Finding Nemo. Couldn’t have asked for more than to have Ellen play the main character. Thank you Pixar for always coming out with such great stories.

I love this movie and its make happy when I see a good story that touches my heart. I recommend this movie to anyone that want to get started in the awesome Disney Cinema Universe.

This movie didn't seem like a great idea, but it turned out to be a good story with new and interesting characters. The 4K looks and sounds great and the steel book art is very nice.

Not my fave, but I own it all so I guess I had to buy it. When I die, my nephews and nieces will inheret it all and make a fortune selling the collection. I'm such a nice aunt.

Best Buy better continue these Steelbooks. The dory one is another great addition to the collection as the Steelbook is so beautiful. These really are some of BB best work.

Visually it’s amazing in 4k and very entertaining especially for the kids and even adults. The steelbook is nice looking and sleek definitely worth having in your collection.

Everyone enjoyed the follow up to finding Nemo. Finding Dory is fun adventure to watch with your family and you will enjoy it.again the steel book is awesome. 4k.

Disney is notorious for their audio mixes on 4K UHD and this is no exception. After turning the volume a it higher than usual, the Atmos track comes to life and the immersion of the ocean and various water tanks is obvious. HDR looks amazing and the level of detail on the fish is a big step up from the blu-ray.
