Customers are saying
Customers praise the enjoyable gameplay, compelling story, and stellar voice acting in Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. Many appreciate the game's unique dungeon crawling elements and consider it a great remake of a classic title. While some found the map design less engaging than in other entries, the absence of the weapon triangle system was also noted. Overall, the game is lauded for its challenging yet accessible difficulty and beautiful art style.

My favorite FE game since the GBA
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love fire emblem echoes, shadow of Valentia. I've played awakening and birthright on my 3DS, and shadows of valentia is definitely my favorite on the system. The voice acting is stellar, the story is fun, the map is fantastic, and the characters are very likeable.

Brings many new and exciting changes!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was unsure about purchasinf this game but I made the dive on launch day. I couldn't be more happy about the quality of the title. It brings raw combat and difficult levels to a newer looking fire emblem game. I cannot recommend this game enough to fans of the series!

Rpg!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wasn't a fan of the series. One of their games ruined it for me. I figured I'll give it another shot and picked this one up. Game is great. Hopefully they can build on this one and continue making great games. Worry it for sure. Great story and gameplay.

Excellent Remake
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a remake of the Fire Emblem Gaiden, a very classic game but considered to be the "black sheep" of the franchise. Gorgeous visuals, excellent gameplay design, beautifully orchestrated score makes this one a joy to play. Newcomers who were introduced by Fates/Awakening and old-timers from the GBA/GC era and even earlier will love this experience. The only minus I'd give this game are the bland maps.

Awesome
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic game. The free-roaming dungeon crawling is new to the series for players in the US, but this is still very much an excellent example of a great Fire Emblem game and a wonderful re-creation of the third title that was never released outside of Japan.

Classic FE Action
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a remake of the second Fire Emblem game, which has never been released outside of Japan, until now. If you like Fire Emblem then you'll like Echoes. It's the classic FE gameplay with an amazing story, and two different armies to control and manage.

classic and simple!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For new people, this game is a strategy tactics game... its like chess but with unique pieces that have there own strengths and weakness... For the ones are familiar, this is not like the newer versions of Fire Emblem where you get to marry and learn a billion skills and create a starting character... This is a remake of very old fire emblem... its a classic RPG... meaning you need to play that role and continue that story... But even so... the game is still very good to play... the game is easy at first and then gets harder as you progress... you get very little stats at level up but it wont matter anyways bc when you promote, you gain the base stats if not met... the game gets very easy if you buy the inner sanctum dlc pack... bc it provides some gold, some xp, but most importantly it provides weapons and items!... This game actually has a good story... enjoy!

So far a good tactics based RPG
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am not far into the game itself yet and this is my first time playing a Fire Emblem game, but so far I am enjoying it. The combat is simple to learn and fairly straightforward. I am not far enough into the story to really comment on it, but so far the characters have been likeable and the setting is interesting. We shall see how things progress but I fairly certain this game won't disapoint me.

Best Fire Emblem game in years
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Despite their popularity, I personally wasn't a big fan of Awakening and Fates. Meanwhile Echoes brings back more of the strategic depth of past games but has a distinct identity given its unique mechanics. Probably the best story in an FE game too

Entertaining game for hours on end
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia is a fantastic remake of the 1992 Fire Emblem: Gaiden. Characters received great redesigns in beautiful art, the story is interesting, and the gameplay is highly enjoyable. A great addition to the 3DS library.

Great game for FE beginners and veterans
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Whether you've played all of the fire emblem series or none at all, this is great game you won't want to miss. Interesting characters, refreshing mechanics, and the reliable tactical strategy you've come to expect of the series is all here.

I thoroughly enjoyed this game.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently started playing Fire Emblem (started with Awakening), and I have enjoyed each one that I’ve played. This one is a remake of an older title, so some of the features from the newer games aren’t in this one (like team ups, marriage, children). Still, I thought many of the characters were interesting and memorable (which is one downfall of Fire Emblem since the game gives you a ton of characters in case you lose several of them to permanent death). One of the reasons that I was more attached to these characters is because the teams split up, and you take turns controlling two armies which forces you to use more of the characters each time. So, if you like turn based strategy games (like XCom), I’d definitely recommend this.

Great for FE fans
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like most modern FE fans, I arrived to the series via Awakening - which most agree is the benchmark FE game. Compared to Awakening, Valentia is a simpler and more compact experience - but still a great FE game. The maps are significantly smaller, as this is a remake of a much older FE game. The story is quaint. Would definitely recommend to any FE fans.
