I understand why this show was cancelled. Not that it is a bad show because the show is fantastic. It just isn't for everyone and by the time people started watching it, it's time was up and it was cancelled. The show is one of those shows that needs to find it's audience and space westerns are a different breed. It was a great show, with good stories, good acting and likeable characters. Unfortunately the bigwigs didn't want to stick with it long enough for word of mouth to get around and build it's audience. The set includes all 12 episodes that aired and 3 that didn't. It also has a decent gag reel and behind the scenes stuff. I got this on Black Friday for $9, so it was a definite deal.

I had heard about this show being fantastic from multiple sources but never really checked it out. Since my first watch through on the internet I re-watched the series not two weeks later and since then have seen it start to finish at least 9 times and shown it to 8 different people each one sharing a similar degree of love that I have for the series. Call me a fan boy if you will but if you have one tenth of the enjoyment I had from this show you will be more than pleased with your purchase.

This is a great series that was discontinued way to short by executives with short visions. The series is a mixture of the untamed wild west with the added background of a past civil war. If that isn't tailored to a great story just add a space age era to it. It all hinges on the a Captain and a Co-Pilot who where on the losing side of a civil war but know have to live after their losses. With a crew of almost criminals, they try to make a living on the fringe of society.

I'd been looking for this & was thrilled to find it at BestBuy.com. This was a one season SciFi TV series that gained a cult following. The now well known cast did an excellent job bringing these characters to life & made them forever loved. The fans sent peanuts to the studio when the show was cancelled & demanded closure. The studio agreed & made a final movie finale. Sadly it's not part of this set. To date this show is still a big hit at comic con. Maybe in the future........?

If you love Castle, you'll love Firefly. It is a Science Fiction Western type adventure show. Fugitives from the law, they meet out justice in space. Nathan plays the captain of the Firefly, with a rogue crew of humans , trying to eke out a living at the edges of the universe. Lovers of The Big Bang Theory, will recall the episodes in which Firefly is lauded and the episode where the boys get to meet Nathan at a restaurant.

As a fan of the show I wanted to own the DVD set to have on hand for watching any time I wanted. This is a perfect way to pull up a favorite episode as I have time or relive the entire series. The only drawback (and its a really minor one) is that the selection menus are very odd - they don't fit with the show and appeared to have been rushed through production. But that doesn't impact the playability of the episodes any.

I missed this when it was on TV and wondered what all the fuss was about. But I am glad I decided to givce it a try. Firefly is kinda like a western set in space. Great characters and interesting stories. Sad that it was canceled, but highly recommend the show plus the follow up movie. There are also some comicbook series for those so inclined.

This was a great Sci-fi series that was cancelled way before it should have been. It is great to be able to get the entire series in a single case that can be watched over a full day with a big bowl of popcorn. This ranks up with Babylon 5 as a great series with good writers & actors. It should have been given at least another season!

Anyone who has seen Firefly knows there is an amazing fan following, despite the fact that it was cancelled after one season. There are some great actors in this show, with awesome characters. The stories in each episode are interesting and fun. If you like sci-fi, but not to the extent of Star Wars with robots and light sabers, you'll enjoy this.

I picked up the complete series DVDs for $10 on a whim one day. Now I understand why so many people are still upset that the show was canceled so soon. I would compare this series to a real life version of "Cowboy Bebop." Definitely worth watching if you haven't already seen it. At $10, there's not much risk involved either.

It's a shame that this show was cancelled after only 1 season. It's 2017 and there's a Firefly poster in the Deadpool 2 teaser trailer. If you've seen the show you should already own this. If you haven't seen the show go buy the DVD and prepare to binge. Then watch Serenity. Welcome to the crew.

I had to replace my old copy, and I couldn't handle the thought of not having it when I wanted to see it again. With the great cast and the highly entertaining writings of Joss Whedon, this series was cancelled way too soon. It does stand the test of time, as my children were also fans when they watched it.

I really enjoyed Firefly. It is a must for any fan who watched the TV series that got cancelled before wrapping up the story line. There are some changes, but you get to see Whedon's vision for the tale. BTW you don't need to have seen the series to view the movie. It stands on it's own.

After missing out on the show when it originally aired, I finally dove into this show which has such a strong fan base for only having one season and a follow-up movie. I was very entertained! I then picked up Serenity to complete the story. If only there was more to watch....

I, of course, had heard Sheldon Cooper rave about this series, but had never actually seen it. While surfing through Netflix recently I decided to check it out. Binged through the entire series in three days, and had to have it on disc for my collection! Definitely recommended!

Whedon's space oater didnt get any love from Fox, but has enlisted a cadre of followers loyal to Captain (Sergeant) Mal Reynolds and his crew aboard the Firefly-class smuggling ship Serenity. Action, drama, comedy, and a lovely cast of flawed, real characters.

I'm so glad I bought this series. It's a wonderful mix of sci-fi and a western mixed with some Asian influence. The crew really compliments each other and Captain Malcolm Reynolds reminds me of Han Solo. Kaylee Frye is the flower amongst this band of misfits.

I missed Firefly when it played on TV. I keep hearing that it was a great show and I decided to check it out. Although I have not finished the whole show, so far I have been enjoying it and would recommend this show to anyone who likes sci-fi and action shows.

Anytime you can watch Nathan Fillion, one should jump on the chance. The irony is that the series has been cancelled but it has already achieved cult status with its cast of characters held together by Mal. It is time to misbehave and get this DVD.

I liked this series and it's too bad it's so short. However, it makes for a fantastic buy! Several people in the store and also the cashier remarked that they loved it, and best buy had the best price. Made a great Christmas present!
