If you’re a big Horror fan like myself, you’ll still want to add this to your collection. Not the best film, but how many remakes are? Overall, it’s a fun watch with some pretty crazy kill scenes. Of course the original is better, but I still enjoyed this one. Concept and colors are great!

great modern remake of a Stephen King classic short story.

The new Firestarter bluray movie is really good. It is simular to the original Firestarter movie from the 1980s when drew Barrymore was in it

This version of Firestarter isn't as good as the original movie but it has a few newer twists added and it's fair to watch.

We enjoyed the movie, so we replaced our dvd copy with blue ray.

I enjoyed this film. It is not without its flaws or criticisms; however, it stands on its own two feet. If you are expecting Firestarter to be like the original movie or the book, you will be disappointed. I was surprised when I first saw it, and I suspect the film will be better if you have not read the book or seen the original movie.

It wasn't bad, but the people that made this movie could have done so much more with her powers especially with the visual effects used with today's technology, a real let down.

I like this movie, but I like the original more than this remake. However I still recommend this to anyone who like steven king books.

A different take on 80's movie . I purchased this for a gift at a great price. Nice to get the bluray dvd combo.

not a bad movie! I've remember when Dree Barrrymore played in this classic and I know its a remake with a different little girl.

Not going to review the movie. Just the condition of the item. Best Buy was the only store that had it on blu-ray! Checked all over, and they only had one copy! The slipcover, case, and disc's were in great shape! No issues with disc's, they played without any problems! I wish Best Buy wasn't cutting their physical media section down! That's the main reason I go into the store!

Does not quite match the Drew Barrymore original but a decent remake that lacks much substance. Jettisoning much of the novel making seem like a lot was left on the cutting room floor. Worth a look if you are a Stephen King fan only. The performances help make this more enjoyable than it should be.

This adaptation of Stephen King's novel is darker than the original. Hard-core King fans may be turned off due to changes that played on action sequences and not character development. If you like entertainment with interesting visuals, then give this a try.
