Saw First Man in theaters, which was a huge blessing. This film is so gorgeous in its cinematography. Maybe a bit slow for some audiences, but delivers a huge punch to the stomach in certain moments. Highly recommend this one.

Music is the best thing about this movie, and about 10 minutes of IMAX footage as well. Half of the movie was ruined by cheap looking shaking of the camera- worst job of director of photography for large screen.

The 4K UHD blu ray disc with Dolby Vision looks great. The Dolby Atmos soundtrack (for me, 7.1 Dolby Surround) sounded great. The story of Neil Armstrong's life is very serious and kind of a downer; the man comes off as very sullen, never quite getting over his daughter's death to cancer.

Like Apollo 13 and The Right Stuff the movie highlights how dangerous it was for the first astronauts and how many times so many of them almost lost their lives that most people are not aware of. Overall better than expected.

Here's a Damien Chazelle movie I really like. Gosling is so good here that almost everyone else looks a little less than. Only the visual/special effects can match him. Certainly a slow burn, but worth sticking it out for.

A man who had his troubles and obstacles to overcome...a man driven by those circumstances to reach new heights and accomplish great things. Loved the cinematography and Damien Chazelle is definitely bound to be a Hollywood legend when all is said and done as a Director.

This is a very good movie. It explores Neil Armstrong's life very well. The "action" scenes are intense and exciting and the whole film is shot beautifully. Ryan Gosling does a terrific job playing Neil. Recommended.

Lots of negative reviews calling it somber, gloomy even boring but I don't think it was intended to be a flashy remake of space exploration. I found it thoughtful albeit a little slow in places but interesting.

Focuses more on the family issues/problems that Neil Armstrong dealt with going from test pilot to first man on the moon. VERY LOUD SOUNDTRACK...prepare yourself! Can't imagine what it sounded like in the theatre.

I saw this film in the theater, and really enjoyed it. I got a 4K player for Christmas and thought this would be a good one for that. It did not disappoint. The picture is unbelievable. The launch sequences make you feel like you are inside the space capsule. Very good movie.

I purchased this movie because I am a huge Space buff. Was a good behind the scenes look at the lives of the people involved in the space race of the 1960's. Some spots a little slow, but overall a very good movie.

I like the movie when I saw it in the theater. It is like re-living history - the only disappointing part is that You don't see the flat being panted on the moon --WHY ???????? This should be watched by everyone who was not able to see the landing when it happened.

Brought back good memories. I remember watching the first moon walk at a friend's house because he had a color TV and we only had black and white. I forgot some of the stuff that they showed in this, cool movie.

I have seen so many space movies about going to the moon. This was a nice change to take in the personal life of Neil Armstrong and his family life. Enjoyed the 4k UHD especially with the Dolby Atmos sound.

First Man is an excellent film and I did not find it to be slow or boring as many have felt. Interesting look into the life of Neil Armstrong leading up to Apollo 11 mission and the scenes involving flight were phenomenal. Should've been nominated for more Oscars.

I was expecting more of "The Right Stuff" but ended up getting a great story about the man who would first step foot on the moon. Great insight about the space program and Neil Armstrong as a human being!

This is a not to bad movie about the early space program run by NASA. It has a human interest story with it, but it is not a Tom Wolf story line. It is a movie good enough for the whole family to watch.

Great movie to commemorate our 50th year Anniversary for landing on the moon. I disagree with the historical accuracy of the actual landing as it did not show the American Flag being planted into the lunar surface (we were in the space race). Fantastic acting.

This was one of my favorite movies of 2018. It tells another part of the story told by films like The Right Stuff, Hidden Figures, and Apollo 13. But the visuals are what set it apart, filmed mostly in 16mm it doesn't feel like most movies made recently.

This is a beautiful film. The IMAX 70mm shots of course steal the show, but even the other sections shot on 16 and 35mm film are beautiful, and it’s thanks to Dolby Vision. It’s subtle, but bold when it needs to be. And the soundtrack is phenomenal.
