This is possibly Jet Li's best film, and possibly one of the best kung fu movies of its era. Wire work is minimal; they aren't trying to do a bunch of crazy stunts, just realistic and serious action. No special effects, they are just incredible martial artists. The movie isn't cheesy or goofy, it has well made sets and costumes, a decent plotline, and the supporting actors are excellent martial artists as well. Very highly recommended.

I own about 200 dvd's and i would say about 125 of them are martial arts movies. And Fist of legend is by far my favorite movie of all time. For those who only know Jet li from his american films. Or those who have never seen this. You need to buy this movie and see what Jet Li is TRUELY all about

Jet Li's best film EVER. An homage to Bruce Lee's Chinese Connection (aka "Fist of Fury" to Eastern audiences), this film is amazing. No Jet Li collection is complete without this title, but only buy the subtitled version, not the dubbed U.S. version.

If you are a Jet Li fan go get this DVD. If you never watched a Jet Li movie before go get this one and check it out.
