Customers are saying

Customers recognize the Alta Activity Tracker (Small) for its ease of use, small size, and effective step tracking capabilities. Many appreciate the sleek design, long battery life, and sleep tracking features, while also noting the accuracy of its data. However, some users found the band and clasp difficult to use, and the lack of a heart rate monitor was also a common point of feedback. Additionally, the display's readability in sunlight was mentioned as an area for improvement.

    So far so good

The Fitbit I purchased works really great, setup was easy, it took about a week to get use to tapping the screen to cycle thru the screens but a little patience was all that was needed. I'm not one that carries their phone everywhere so I use to miss important text messages, not anymore, fitbit let's me know when someone is trying to get ahold of me, This is a plus at work when your not allowed to have your phone out at your desk.

Fit bit works excellent, simple to use but offers a lot more in depth info if you want more. Easy to set up, was out walking and counting steps when I walked out of the store!

Bought for my 12 year old to keep track of her activity. Easy to use, only complaint is the strap is hard for her to push closed. She's been using it daily for 7 months.

I love my Fitbit band and the great features it has. It tracks my steps, my calories burned and the best part is that it reminds me to walk when I stay seated for a long time.

I like this watch. I wish it was a little better with everyday life. The screen gets banged up. I've had mine a few weeks and it has marks and a few chips as well. I will recommend getting the extra warranty from Best Buy. Took mine back a few days after buying it to get the extra coverage from Best Buy. Because of the condition they will not allow me to purchase do to the condition. I understand that. Not Best Buys fault. It's was my fault for not getting it as soon as I got this. The other thing is the way it locks onto your wrist. I've had it fall off a few times. I try to remember not to hang my arm out the window in fear of it coming undone. If I had to do it over, I would go a different route. I don't think it would be a FitBit. I think for this price it should be a little more life friendly. I have tried the charge and charge HR. HR stunk. It hurts With the extra bump. It sticks out more than the charge. The charge was ok. Had that for a few days than went to the Alta. You can see who's calling and the start of a text message on the Alta. I wish it was a little more water proof. Just remember to take it off when doing dishes and bathing. But all and all the Alta was my favorite over the Charge and Charge HR.

My family bought 4 activity trackers to help increase more health family time. This product has been easy to use and fun for my wife, as well as, 13 & 10 year old daughter's. The children initially struggled latching the wrist band as the tabs take significant strength to fully secure, but we discovered that once the desired size is figured out it is much easier to detach the wrist band itself rather than using the tabs.

    Enjoying my Fitbit Alta

After using the basic Fitbit for a couple of years, I was excited to try the new Fitbit Alta with more features and a smaller profile. Thus far, I've been mostly happy with it. There was an annoying problem when I first got it: The Alta can show you notifications from you phone, including calendar events. But it would keep vibrating off and on even during the event and there was no way to dismiss the notification. It appears that a recent firmware update has resolved that issue. I like using the Alta as a watch, but it's hard to read in direct sunlight. The sleep tracking feature works well. All in all, I'm happy with my purchase.

    So Far So Good!

This will be my third wearable and the previous two (an iFit and a Jawbone Up) lasted only a few months. I purchased an extended warranty on the Alta just in case but so far, it has worked well. I like the app and the face of the Alta is easily readable. I would say at this point, the only slight downside is that to wake it up, I sometimes have to shake my wrist instead of just twisting my wrist. Not a big deal at all. I can say that for right now I'm happy but based on past experience with these things, I'd be interested to see what I'll have to say six months from now.

I'm loving my Fitbit Alta! I pretty much wear it everywhere. I did discover that it sets off the security alarm at DFW airport so now when I travel I don't wear it going through security. This product does what it says it will do and still works perfectly.

This is my 3rd fitbit and it might be my favorite one yet. It is a smaller design, but still does everything I need...except for giving me credit when I swim :)

Best of Fitbit So Far For Me

    1) Screen sensitivity: what works very well for me is to tap lightly on the actual band right underneath the display screen (not on the screen itself). My tracker is very responsive tapping this way and saves you from wearing out your finger. 2) Band issues: IT GETS BETTER from the first few times. The band needs time and you need practice, that is all. I find that carefully aligning, then poking my index finger under and between the metal pins and pressing/pinching works great, with practice it takes maybe 5 seconds with one hand. 3) Initial syncing: highly recommend setting up via the free Fitbit app through a phone vs using a computer and dongle. Actually finding the new tracker and getting ready for device setup only took minutes (I've done it twice now for myself and a family member and both times were easy).

Purchased for my daughter on her birthday. Small size is a perfect size for her small wrist that she wears everyday. Fitbits style is second to none. Simple and classy.

It's easy to use and does the basics. Battery life is decent. It has an app that keeps track of activity. I liked this one better than others because it's smaller.

I wasn't sure if I really wanted to purchase a Fitbit but I'm glad I did. There are a few different types available, I chose this one because of its size, some of the others were just too wide. I lIke that I can sync it to the Fitbit app on my android phone to log my daily activity. Although this model doesn't have the heart rate tracking, it does what I need it to do. You can set it up to alert you when you haven't moved enough within the hour and I especially like the mini fireworks display that goes off on the screen when you reach your ultimate step goal for the day. Fitbit Alta was a great purchase for me!
