My 10 year old son loves the activity tracker, but neither of us can snap it on. It may be user error, but we ended up buying a generic replacement band on Amazon. It attaches like a watch band. The Alta HR comes with a regular watchband. So if you're trying decide whether or not to spend the extra money on the HR, the difference may be offset by the cost of buying a replacement band.

Great fitness tracker. Works like it is advertised and appears to track activity accurately.

The kids and I got this for my wife for Mother’s day as she’d been eyeing them up. I wasn’t sure if it would get much use but she LOVES it. Has it on daily and gets a ton of use out of it. She consistently tries to meet particular “steps taken” milestones for the day and it tells her as she reaches them. Also is convenient for her text messages as it tells her who is texting and a snippet of the message. Great buy!

This fitbit is a great interactive device and I would reccommend it for any health conscience person. This is compatable with your smart phone for daily updates

I use my FitBit daily to track my steps, workouts, miles walked and as an alarm. My only reason for not giving it five stars is that it does not always light up when I move my wrist to see the time. It is annoying as sometimes I am in a hurry and have to move my wrist five or six time before it lights up. Part of me wishes I would have gone with the Apple watch but did not want to spend that kind of money.

Fitbit has done it again with this tracker. Small, sleek and stylish; all wrapped in one.

I purchased the Fitbit to link with my insurance health & wellness section. Linking was easy and allows both Fitbit and Ins to keep track of my steps; exercise; burned calories and sleep pattern. Comfortable fit - I sleep in mine and have no issues with it coming off. The alarm is great - nothing loud, just vibrates on your arm.

I love how my Fitbit Alta keeps track of my moves and reminds me when I need to move around. I also love how it shows your weekly activity and compares it to the previous weeks. It makes me accountable and challenges me to move more. I even run in place while watching TV so that I can get my steps in for the day. Dancing also helps me achieve my daily goal. This was my birthday gift and I love my gift.

Fitbit - Alta Activity Tracker - nice looks and easy to use.

I was hesitant to go with the Alta at first. The size looked a little small compared to the Charge HR. Rest assured, it fits great and the size is wonderful. If you visit the Fitbit website you can actually print out a size chart which is very helpful. All in all I can say that I love the Alta and would definitely recommend.

the Alta was purchased for its smaller size and proves to be capable of that. It is better than the charge in that you can actually check the battery level on the wristband rather than having to sync to find it. The one issue is that the "touch" activation requires a very learned and careful touch. at first hitting and banging was the only way to get it to activate after awhile I learned the proper softer touch.

The watch works as advertised. Light, functional and a full charge works almost week.

Slim and compact. Looks nice on my wife's wrist. Too bad it's just collecting dust now.

Great for tracking sleep, steps, etc.! Has a nice app interface, too.

This is the second one I have had to purchase. My first one fell off my wrist because I didn't have the clasp closed properly. Sort of an expensive lesson to learn. The slim design of the Alta is great. I like how it looks less clumsy and bulky on my wrist. And dressier too, even with the classic band it comes with, so I can wear it and not feel like it looks out of place with what I am wearing.
