The Alta HR has exceeded my expectations! It not only counts steps, heartbeat, and sleep hours/minutes, it’s attractive and light on my wrist. I also love the idea that I can change bands.

The Fitbit is easy to use and relatively accurate. The small size fits my wrist and it is easy to read on the wrist or off. I think I will use it daily and will enjoy it, hopefully it will help me to reach my goal of losing 10 pounds,

I was in the market for a fitness tracker for a while. The Apple Watch series 2 was a no brainer for me. It had everything; GPS, heart rate, and it was swim proof! It was also much more expensive, and the battery life was max two days of regular use. After seeing many of my friends go for Fitbits, and getting personal insights, I am very happy with my purchase of my Fitbit Alta HR. Some prerequisites for the fitness tracker I was looking for was that it had to look decent since I would be wearing it all the time, and replaceable bands help with that a LOT. I also really wanted one that lasted a while without having to charge it, since the data it collects is only useful if you're actually WEARING it! I also really wanted it to be swim/water proof so that I didn't feel limited while wearing it. The Fitbit Alta HR, the Garmin Vivosmart 3, the Apple Watch series 2, and the Garmin Vivosmart HR+ were all great choices. The Garmin Vivosmart 3 was newer and better looking than the Vivosmart HR+, but lacked GPS. Both were much more waterproof than the Fitbit, but suffered highly in the style department. I like having technology that looks good. PLEASE consider the Garmins if you value substance over style. The Apple Watch series 2 was too expensive for me at the moment, and also I just don't like the design. Call me a hater but without the $500 metal link bracelet accessory from Apple, I just don't like the Apple Watch. The Fitbit Alta HR had the best battery life of them all, and although it wasn't water or swim proof, the kind words my friends with Fitbits had about it got me to feel better about it. Plus it was on sale at Best Buy for 129.99. so it was much more affordable than some of the others. The stainless steel accessory band also makes the Alta HR look like the coolest fitness tracker there is.

My wife and I originally had the charge hr fitbit. We now have the Alta HR and they are perfect. We love the sleek look of them and the size is perfect. Does everything we need from tracking steps, tracking heart rate, counting stairs, and logging distance. It even shows text messages on the screen! Awesome stuff. We are happy with our purchase. Good health watch/tracker that keeps us motivated.

I love this new FitBit Alta way more than my old HR. It’s smaller, you can change the band, and the battery lasts way longer. The price was totally reasonable too.

I love that my Fitbit HR tracks my sleep patterns and daily/hourly steps. It reminds me to get up and walk if I've been sitting too long. Easy to read display and even vibrates and shows me text messages and phone calls from my cell phone. I love the small design as I have pretty small wrists. I also like the band as it has a buckle instead of the tab closure.

I love my Fitbit! I think you can get the best usage out of it by also using the phone app. It not only tracks steps, but also heart rate, sleep patterns, food intake, water intake, and exercise. The set up was easy and it's easy to use! Just charge it up, sync to phones Bluetooth, and follow a few simple prompts. I look forward to getting back into shape!

Bought this device as a replacement for a lost FitBit Alta for my girlfriend. She loves the HR tracker capabilities as well as the sleep tracker now included. Fit is true as advertised, soft band makes it comfortable for all day wear. Controls are easy learn. (Just Tap!) Only thing I wish FitBit would consider is making all of their products waterproof.

Great for instant tracking of steps, heart rate, and sleep/exercise activity. Just has issues with syncing so I can't review trends and report for hours of sleep. I also find the food log helpful but hard to do on a daily basis. Simple classic design looks good and will match any outfit. Comfortable to wear all day and night.

I had the fitbit HR and recently switched it to this one instead and love it instead. This one is much thinner. I still receive my messages and calls so it does the job. My fitbit HR has a bigger screen and unfortunately it cracked right across the screen my reason for getting this smaller version of the fitbit plus I have a small wrist so it feels better on me as well.. I can change the bands for the fitbit so it's a plus as well.I am definitely satisfied with my purchase.

This has helped me increase my walking each day. It does much more than steps, too - heart rate, miles, calories, and minutes of activity,. The steps and mileage are a bit off my GPS tracker but it is close enough for me! Also includes sleep quality, food dairy, #s lost, and water intake on the cell phone app. All wonderful gadgets to keep you in share. The short comings of this is the battery life is about 4 days so it requires frequent charting.

This is my second fitbit (misplaced first) and the sleeker profile is nice. The hourly reminders to keep moving have increased my number of daily steps (but doesn't bother me when napping). Tracks sleep well (can't say if depth of sleep is correct). Not sure if HR is always terribly accurate. Ability to add exercises is easy. Ability to keep track of calories is also easy. I would like to see interchangable charging devices.

I'm really enjoying my Alta HR. I wanted to have something to track my heart rate and sleep cycles...it really works well! The display is easy to read and you can choose the layout of the screen. It will also scroll text messages and vibrate/show you who is calling if you have your Bluetooth on. Just a heads up, you cannot answer calls or texts through the fitbit. I have an Apple Watch but haven't been using it since it stopped working. Enjoying having the features I want on my Alta, without the extra stuff I don't need. I also like the look of it...I think it's a good size and pretty slim. Also has a Watch style band. The sleep cycle stuff is really cool and I'm really happy with the HR monitor. I deal with anxiety/panic attacks and get a racing heart and now I can keep track of how fast my heart is actually beating which helps me calm down quicker.
