I'm really enjoying my Blaze

I was in the market for a more all-around fitness tracker with HR, coming from a Misfit Shine. I mostly work out in the gym with circuit training, weights, etc and was looking at things like the Microsoft Band2, Garmin Vivoactive HR, and Garmin Forerunner 235. I decided on the Blaze because of the great Fitbit app, HR, and more stylish look (yes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and I've seen several reviews knocking the looks but I disagree). My 11 year old daughter is dying for an Apple Watch and said my Blaze looks like one! I have the small blue and with my very small wrist I think it looks great.
I love the fact that the Blaze is a fitness tracker first, and a smart watch second--this is the right combo for me. I like getting text and call notifications, and love the fact that I can choose from multiple workout modes, including pilates and even bootcamp. The charger is strange but doesn't bother me, especially with the long battery life. I just charge it when I'm in the shower. I spent a long time "obsessing" over the right fitness watch, and I'm glad I chose the Blaze.

Blaze is one of the finest fitness trackers out there. I have been using it for a year now and never had any complaints.
The sleep tracker is one of the coolest features it has apart from the other common trackers like heart-rate, steps, calories, floors climbed etc. It has inbuilt exercises, stopwatch, alarm (just vibrates though, no sound). It also supports Bluetooth for music control. We can get notifications about calls and texts as well but cannot pick up the call or reply to a text, but eh what's the phone for if we do everything on a watch.
I literally wear it all day, even when sleeping and it has made me more active as it bugs me if I sit for too long and makes me walk 250 steps each hour, which is exactly what I need at office.
I would definitely, without a doubt, recommend it to all!.
NOTE: Do not drop it or put in in a tub of water unless you have a product care plan!! I did both and yes they replaced it twice. *wink*

Having had the first wearable Fit Bit, to the Polar Loop with heart rate monitor to the Blaze which is the combination of both..plus. This tracks your workouts, counts your calories and gives you an understanding of your sleep cycle. I do wish it was waterproof and not just water resistant. So other then not having the GPS built in and not being able to swim with it, It is extremely stylish, easy to set up and it lets you know of text messages, emails and phone calls. I will be buying the leather band so as I may wear it as a dressier version out and about.

Like other Fitbits, it does it's job at monitoring your heart rate 24/7 and counting your steps and sleeping patterns. I don't think there are any other fitness wrist/watches in market that are 100% accurate but this one comes as close as you get. Of course there are ways to manipulate if you're having steps competition at work :). The watch itself is appealing, good quality and I have received compliments. Battery is good, last a good amount of days, charges fast. You receive notifications from apps and that's about it. It doesn't have voice commands which is a bummer. I had higher expectations but this is the only watch that comes close as a smart/fitness watch. I wish there was also more customization. I think the software used in conjunction with the watch is a big complementary to the watch. You get to review your activities, heart rates and sleep patterns. Poke at other people and see your friends steps.

The only reason it gets 4*s and not 5 is the lack of an onboard GPS, you need to run with both it and your phone to track your run. The other thing I think could be improved is it's estimate of your distance. If not linked to my GPS, it very consistently underestimates distance by about 20% for me. (I tested this a few ways, one was using mile markers on a trail I ran.)
Now that I've lead with what I don't like, there is plenty that I do like. I feel comfortable wearing it in a variety of settings, I really like everything it tracks and how it displays those things in the app including sleep, heart rate, exercise, steps, and floors climbed. Battery lasts about a week, but takes a very long time to charge. I would recommend it, but also feel like it has room to improve.

I love this Fitbit! It has all the best features- ability to receive texts, track workouts, give me heartrate, and track my steps. It doesn't have a million other things that I don't need. It also holds a charge VERY well. As in, I usually only charge it for the 10 minutes I'm in the shower. Not only that, but it only now just died, 4 years later.

*LOVE* my blaze!! I bought it about a week after fitbit released it. At the time, there were not many reviews on it but from what i did read then, most of the feedback was positive.
I love the simplicity of it. It's perfect for what i want and need. And it is A LOT more comfortable to wear than the Charge HR. The battery life is better than the Charge HR as well. And I have everything turned on including text and call alerts and always on HR monitor. Being a dedicated fitbit lover, i was a bit surprised that there was no sync dongle as with the previous fitbits but it is not a big deal. Honestly, one less thing to keep up with. It has 6 screens to use. Today; which gives you all the info you need concerning todays activities, Exercise; you can connect up to 7 preprogrammed exercises to choose from that can be placed as your favorites. FitStar is an on board, "on wrist" programmed with quick exercises, a Timer, which has both a stopwatch and a countdown, Alarm only shows you what alarms, if any, you have set. And finally settings.
Only thing I don't like is that you still have to be on the app or online to set your alarms. But with me, I set the alrms once and haven't needed to go back in to reset them. Not a deal breaker but, it would be nice for convenience sake. Overall, I love my blaze.

I wore a Charge HR for about six months before upgrading to the Blaze for more functionality. After wearing the Blaze now for a few months there have been no regrets about this decision. Wear it every day.
Pros:
- Easy to use
- It's comfortable
- Being able to see the time of day and time a workout simultaneously
- Long battery life (fully charge once every 4-5 days) with minimal syncing, otherwise just charge every 2-3 days for a half hour while showering
- The timer and countdown features
- It holds me accountable and I like that it reminds me to get up and walk at least 250 steps every hour, just to move around. I've never been more active in my life than I have been this year.
- Ability to pause workouts
- Variety of workouts to track
- Being able to set recurring, or one-time, silent alarms
- The new main screen options allow you to see everything at a glance without having to scroll through the menu = less touching of the screen.
- The versatility that's offered by being able to switch out straps and frames. A girl has got to match her clothes! And it's easy to swap them out.
Cons:
- I have a pretty small wrist, and even though it fits better than the Charge HR did, it's still a little bulky.

I was debating between the Charge 2 & the Blaze and ended up choosing the blaze! So far I have absolutely loved it- I have previously owned a Fitbit, but I love this one. Super comfortable on my wrist with many adjustment options. Very easy to scroll through the screens & I even get notifications about my text messages! I love using it during my workouts, and it gives very accurate readings- even on the elliptical it counts my steps(which I am not used to!)

The was our first experience with Fitbit, we had Microsoft band2's prior to moving over to this due to defects in Microsoft's product. This one is holding up nice so far. Very accurate and I love that I can change the band when ever I want to or need to. Bad news for all those moms out there, when I'm pushing a stroller I have to use one hand so that I get the steps on my morning walks with my kids. Which leads me into the app which is great! My husband and I use the apps feature which allows you to add friends and then challenge to step goals and activity levels. It's really became pretty competitive which has driven us to be even more active. The app can track weight, water/food consumption, sleep, heart rate, resting heart rate, and comes with some interesting quick workouts built into the app. This won't magically get you in shape but it has made our routines a little more fun by adding a hint of competition and a nudge to get moving on lazy days.

I really enjoy Fitbit as a brand, and I like the way the Blaze works as a smartwatch, too. There are notifications and GPS, which are nice features. Without those activated, the battery lasts a little longer, but I like them, so my battery lasts about a day to a day and a half (which is fine). The sleep tracker is nice to have, and automatically does it without any settings. The set up was so difficult for me that I almost returned it but eventually found that online forums provided me help when I needed it, and now it's working great. I like that it pops out so I can (and will) buy more watchbands in different colors and coordinate based on what I like that day. The charger is a little strange but very convenient once you get the hang of it. I also bought glass screen protectors to keep my watch safe and I'm so glad I did because the protector broke today, and I think it was a good investment in keeping the watch pristine. I do not think it's worth the extra cost to get the most recent update unless you are someone who needs the latest things, and/or are a regular swimmer. 4/5 stars for this, 1 star knocked off for the difficulty of setup as well as the lack of ability to respond to texts/FB messages. Would buy again.

My Fitbit has definitely made me more aware of my daily habits, which in turn has motivated me to be more physically active.
PROS:
-Reads your heart rate
-Keeps track of calories
-Lets you skip music and adjust volume
-Has caller ID as well as option for answering and declining phone calls
-Sends text notifications, calendar notifications
-Can be set as an alarm using vibrations
-Waterproof
CONS:
-Doesn't include GPS (however, you can sync your phone's GPS to track your activity when you run/bike outside)
-Can't send text messages through watch or talk through the watch
-Can't submerge under water
-Can only set up alarm on fitibt app on your phone, not on watch
-Screen is made of glass, easily scratchable
-Fitbit app differs depending on type of smartphone (iOS vs Android)

As soon as my wife saw it she was excited and put it on right away. It was a little slow in charging but after it started its working properly. My wife was excited about measuring her steps, heartbeat and receiving text. Will update to the next level later.

I had the charge HR and was a big fan until it malfunctioned, then got the Charge 2 but was not impressed despite the improved functions and screen. Upgraded to the Blaze and have been really impressed! It seems to be more accurate than the Charge HR. The new clock face let's you see steps, HR, time and date on one screen which is great. The text notifications are very helpful. I didn't think I'd use the music control, but it has also been very helpful. Having controls on your wrist and being able to see if something needs your attention without taking your phone out is awesome. The new workout modes are great, and using your phones GPS is super helpful. When biking, your watch is a speedometer! The silent alarms are very useful, the battery lasts 5 days even using the watch to its fullest potential. The screen automatically adjusts brightness so you don't have the problem of waking up at night because you turned over in bed and your wrist lights up. And the main thing is it isn't as big on my wrist as I thought it would be. Overall, really enjoying this purchase, looking forward to future updates and functionality!

It tracks steps, distance, heart rate, calories, sleep, floors climbed, etc. It seems to be very accurate except when I am pushing my daughter in a stroller (pedometer doesn't count steps). You can control music, see text messages, and set silent alarms. It does more than I expected & is very accurate. The downside is that Bluetooth knocks your phone battery out very quickly but you can turn off & tracking still works (just turn on bt & sync, then back to off). No messages or music without Bluetooth. Battery lasts about 3 days & charges in 2 hours.

I bought the Blaze primarily to keep track of my activity throughout the day. It records your steps, calories burnt, heart rate, and how active you are during the day. You can also manually input your water intake, food/calorie intake, and body weight into the app. It is a great fitness tracker overall.
The reason I did not give it 5 stars is because:
-You can control the music volume, change to next/previous song, and pause/play, but you cannot change the albums or the playlist.
-The battery life indicated on the website is "5 days max," but mine only lasts 2 full days. Although it's on my wrist all day and night, I am not constantly turning the watch on so I would expect it to last longer.
-I am a female with average -sized wrist. The watch looks a little too bulky on my wrist especially with the standard black strap.

I decided to purchase the blaze because i couldn’t justify spending almost $500 on an Apple Watch. Read the reviews on both and the blaze made sense because of price and also it was more for working out as opposed to Apple Watch ... seems to be more for taking care of business (if that makes sense) anyway the blaze malfunctioned the 2nd day of wearing it, took it back and got a new one and it’s been working fine. Fingers crossed. My charge hr broke after 18 months of wearing it. I honestly feel like these watches aren’t that high of quality since they seem to not hold up well. However, i purchased it so i shouldn’t complain. I gave it 4 stars cause the 2 buttons on the right are seemingly useless. Other than that I’m pleased.

Upgraded to the Blaze from the HR because my HR charging ability was on the decline and the Blaze has a feature to receive notifications, which the HR doesn't have.
The size of the Blaze took a little getting used to as it's like a big watch. When the notifications work, it's great. You can see who's calling, texting, and emailing without having to grab your phone. Very convenient when you're busy. The notifications work about 85% of the time, though, so sometimes it's a little frustrating.
I have been happy with how easy it is to track workouts. Gives all the info (hr, calories, etc) during and afterwards. The only downside is if you use the manual tracking feature and forget to turn it off or you've paused it during your workout and forget to turn it on again, there's no way to edit the workout afterwards. (Workouts that the Fitbit automatically tracks can be edited.) There's also a fitness tab on the Blaze that has short videos so you can squeeze in a workout anytime.
One other nice feature is the ability to set silent alarms that vibrate on your wrist. I use it to wake up or to remember an upcoming event.
Finally, the charger for the Blaze seems more efficient than the HR. My HR got to the point where I'd have to keep the charging cord at a certain angle so the end would stay in the HR to get it to charge. The Blaze face just pops out of the band and into the charger.
Technically, I'd rate the Blaze as a 4.5 out of 5 stars. I'd give it 5 stars if the notifications always worked and the manual workouts could be edited, but overall, I'm happy with the Blaze and would recommend it.
