    Good Before Update

Bought the Charge 2 two months ago and it worked great for a month. Set up and syncing was easy and straight forward. I was really getting into recording all my workouts and logging meals. The whole Fitbit ecosystem- Mobile app, PC app, Website was helping me stay fit and lose weight...then it happened. I installed a recommended updated to the Charge 2 and EVERYTHING changed! The Heart Rate was 20-30 bpm off. Most functions on the Tracker use heart rate information so therefor everything but the watch was wrong. Pretty expensive watch! If you get one of these don't update it. Read the reviews on the Fitbit Forums, the update is a disaster and help from Fitbit is non existent. Its too bad, I really liked the Charge 2. Now I have to find something else and start over.

    Uncomfortable

Upon trying to setup this device, would be nice if this came with any paper instructions, aside from the words fitbit.com/setup. Would recommend begin charging with the flimsy charger, says 2 hours for full charge. Need fitbit software on your phone, tablet,etc.. to do anything else. The software on my phone looks ok, the fitbit itself, really needs work on making it more not less comfortable. This actually hurts my wrist, I keep loosening band, but hurts. Fitbit needs to design something better than this, can't imagine trying to sleep with this on. My sore wrist would probably keep me awake. Would not recommend.

I love my fitbit. It helps to motivate me. I would say the only down fall about it is that I wish while I am shopping and pushing a cart that it would track my steps. Other than that it's great.

    Awesome but a little bulky

Did extensive research of products and features. Fitbit Charge 2 met all expectations. It is however a bit more bulky than expected. Would prefer a little more sleek and feminine.

Glad I didn’t give it 4 stars a few months ago

I purchased the Charge 2 last December. I wear it daily. I’ve taken good care of it. Eight months later the wrist band is snapping off on its own. Fortunately I felt it fall off one time while biking. There’s a fifty chance it’s showing pulse rate. I would call the Charge 2 a disposable, cheap piece of equipment. I’m looking for something new and much better.

    Functions...selectively

Fitbit relies heavily on its reputation of being one of the first wearables. These devices used to be revolutionary and a good value for the price point. They are now cheap and disposable. Within two months of having my charge 2, the functionality of the heart rate monitor began to diminish, often cutting out and not reading. This problem has only gotten worse with time. I contacted customer service and initially they declined to do a warranty exchange. After I told them I know that they are able to, as I’ve had similar problems with older models, they told me they could. I’m still having the same problem with the device, it’s actually worsened. The other day it recorded me as sleeping for 3 hours during my workday while the tracker was on my arm and I was physically active. When using the workout mode and I begin to sweat sometimes it feels like I’m getting an electric shock at the watch site on the wrist. It is uncomfortable to wear long term and is essentially a disposable device. It is common for the watch to not work well after a short period of use. Fitbit needs to really step it up. There are much better products available at a similar cost.

    Too many negatives

    Posted .

I generally liked the Fitbit Charge 2 at first glance. It's compact and stylish. However, I find it very difficult to read the display outdoors on a sunny day. They could have taken a lesson from the Amazon Kindle display. The biggest problem for me was the heart rate tracking, which was my primary reason for the purchase. I found it to be really inaccurate during my workouts ... wild fluctuations. Sometimes the heart rate would stop registering for several minutes. It didn't matter whether the band was loose or tight. I bought a Polar H10 chest strap. It tracks my HR perfectly. I will figure out what Polar watch to pair it with later. The Fitbit is being returned.

    Horrible app

I am on my second Fitbit. I have an Aria scale. I used to enjoy the app. No more. They updated the app to advertise holiday deals. Really? And when I complained they said sorry, we will take the add off your app after the holidays. How is that for demonstrating real care for customers. Buy something with better customer support and with less focus in just selling their stuph.

    Rules changed!!! BEWARE!!!!

I received my Fitbit as a Christmas present a couple of years ago. I also received a 2 year protection plan. I had to replace the fitbit a few times since then. Mostly because they start falling apart after 6 months. Not bad right ... until last weekend. My band broke and I went to trade it in. I was told that they changed the way they handle the 2 year protection without notifying me. I was even told I had to pay for a new 2 year policy, even though i was told it resets every time you trade the fitbit. All thumbs down for this. I thought i would be worry free with my fitbit. Knowing that it will eventually go bad again within the 2 years. I am aggressively looking for another alternative. And I will never again buy a 2 year protection plan from Best Buy again.

    Vibration is terrible!

Do not use this fitness watch to wake you up! Even with the band so tight it almost cuts off the blood supply, very often I do not feel this watch vibrate to wake me up. I am a thin guy so I should feel any little vibration. I had the charge hr and could feel it fine. All other features are good.

Good product but no interface to iphone Health

Happy with the performance so far. I works as described, but I was surprised to find out that it does not interface to iPhone Health App. The FitBit app does not import my other fitness data (weight) so I will likely return it.

    Glue fails

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I had 4 HR's that the glue that holds the band together fail. Fitbit did replace them until my 1 year warranty expired. They told me the issue had been fixed so I purchased the Charge 2. After 4 months of use I'm having the same issue where the glue that holds the band together is failing. So unless I want to replace the band every 3 to 4 months I'm getting a Garmin.
