I have purchased several fit bit products over the years. This is my favorite thus far. I love being able to track my heart rate as Well as all the other things such as Record steps, stairs, sleep, distance, etc.
Fit bit customer service is also very good. I find them helpful and responsive.
The only thing that I wish was possible that isn't is to be able to shower and be in water with the charge on. Maybe eventually they'll come out with this product that is waterproof.
Another feature that I like is the improved clap. Much more secure than my previous one... Like that of a standard watch.

HR Monitor/Cardio best part

First activity tracker. Excellent motivation. Didn't think about the separation of activity minutes versus cardio minutes, but getting at least 30 minutes of cardio per day has taken priority over # of steps. Wouldn't buy an activity tracker without a heart rate monitor now. Would be the perfect device if it were waterproof as it replaced a Timex I wore while showering, swimming, etc. And if the battery life was longer than ~3 days, expected 5 days. Glad I exchanged Large for Small size, much better fit for 6.5 inch wrist.

I love my fit bit. I bought it specifically to monitor my sleep patterns as my dr. Thinks I have sleep Apnea. I try to meet my goals which has helped me walk more. I love the quick response on viewing the info and the phone connection is great. The only thing I'm dissaopinted about was the sizing chart on the box. I bought the one that the chart said would fix, but then when you want to monitor your heart you wear it differently and I really would have preferred a larger size. Also it said the charge lasts for five days and that has yet to happen.

Can't live without it!

When I knew I was going to be serious about going to the gym everyday I decided to get a Fitbit! My family has problems with high blood pressure so I knew I wanted a step counter + a heart rate monitor. I'm just in love with the fact that it counts calories and that it connects with MFP which I've been using for 80 straight days. I seriously don't know how I lived without it before, and I'm really glad I spent the extra $$ on buying the Fitbit HR because while it does sometimes stop registering heart rate when it gets slippery and sweaty, once I dry myself off (which takes 5 seconds) it starts registering it again. It's obviously not PERFECT but its perfect for me. I wear the small on the 3rd hole towards the end, I don't have super doll-like wrists but they're on the smaller side. I love the fact that I think it calculates steps/calories burnt based on heart rate, especially during biking classes in which I'm not moving my arms very much, I still see progress after a 45 minute biking class. Maybe that's an assumption but boy do I love my Fitbit! For any reference I'm 23 years old! I kept hinting to my boyfriend that I wanted this specific Fitbit but I just couldn't wait for my birthday and I bought it myself, so here we are.

I received my Fitbit HR for Christmas and wear it all the time. I love the way it tracks steps, heart rate and sleep. I hate that you need to charge it every 4 days and that it is not always accurate measuring stairs. Also have needed to reboot it 2 times when it just stopped recording everything. It's easy to do but this messes with your weekly stats. Overall I do like it but wish they could get these bugs out. Waterproof would be nice too

Great way to track steps, don't belive pulse monitor is very accurate. Wonderful tool to use with other apps and my fitness pal. A little bulky to wear daily. Battery doesn't last the full time advertised. Still better than a pedometer in every way. Doesn't always sync the first time. Great website that helps with goals and fitness information. With the downsides I would still highly recommend.

We bought a Fitbit Charge HR Activity Tracker for my mom, because she wants to track her sleep patterns, plus her heart rate as she works out. So far, she really likes it and says it's easy to use. She also likes tracking her steps/walking distance everyday. It does look a little too "sporty" for some of her outfits, but she might get a cover that makes it look more like jewelry.

Great product! I love it it keeps me motivated I wear it all the time. I didn't like the orange color it was more like reddish so I exchanged it for black. Very easy to use. I love the alarm it vibrates in the wrist and it does actually wake me up. Also you can customize the way the clock looks with date. You can tap to see information or just twist your wrist fro the time. I use it mainly for the steps and also when I start training you just press the side button for few seconds and start recording training time with heart rate. The heart rate features shows your fat burn time and cardio minutes on the app. I also love the sleep tracking I was surprised about how many times I was restless per night! I gave it 4 stars because it is not water resistant and the screen scratches very easily. I wear it all the time literally but I have to take it off when I wash the dishes or give my boys a bath. I would love if it can be water resistant and if it came with a scratch resistant screen (since it is so small shouldn't seem like a big issue) or provide a screen protector .
I also would have loved if it was removable like the flex so you can buy different accessories. Overall I LOVE it.

I purchased the FitBit to ensure I am doing at least 10,000 steps per day. I thought it was a no brainer that I was doing that many steps. This is easy to wear and keeps me honest. I strongly recommend purchasing the HR vs the Pulse. The Pulse I purchased for my granddaughter keeps falling off. :(

This Fitbit model gives time, date, heart rate, calorie count, step count, floors climbed, sleep tracker, has a way to input water intake, can notify of incoming phone calls, and more. I LOVE its multi-tasking, particularly the ability to notify of incoming phone calls, because I can see who's calling without having to check my phone as I have to have my phone silenced during daytime hours as I work at a school. The one drawback is that the step tracker isn't accurate for me as I have found that even with setting it for my non-dominant hand, it adds steps if I bump my hand as I talk with my hands a a lot, and it doesn't count steps if you are pushing a buggy, like when you are shopping. That is why I also purchased a Fitbit zip. I plan on using both and getting a count from both devices, while using the Charge HR particularly for the phone call notification and sleep tracking abilities.

Almost Perfect

I had been searching for the perfect, yet affordable way to track my daily activity but was very adamant about finding something to track continuous heart rate as well. I didn't want something around my chest and this is pretty accurate. I only wish it were waterproof so I could also track my activity while in the swimming pool. While in Florida exercising on the beach, I was always concerned about the water from the ocean possibly causing issues if it were to get too wet. A few splashes from the surf didn't effect it and I love the app. The app provides great challenges and ways to add friends that also have a FitBit. This device is great for self-accountability and the challenges that you can engage in with friends cause you to increase your daily step goal. My only other gripe are the limited colors. I like the Tory Burch collection and the capability of being able to swap out straps. Overall, I would recommend this to someone just starting out in their workout/fitness journey. So many other great things about the app and the device are really worth the price. A good value in my opinion for the bells and whistles...just not waterproof....

Great device for checking HR and tracking steps/calories/miles. I especially found the sleep tracking to be extremely useful. I like how this device motivates/reminds me to walk more because I set an alarm to reach my goals. Battery lasts three-five days depending on how much you use it, which is excellent. I would buy it again if I had to.

bought this with the intentions to get healthy this year. if you aren't super technical about numbers and accuracy, this is perfect! being that you wear it on your wrist, the actual footstep counts are off. the heart rate monitor isn't quite accurate when i'm doing workouts. the sizing is what made me give this 4 stars instead of 5. i measured my wrist and it seemed as though the S size would fit. well, it did fit, but the end of the strap was too short to tuck under the strap holder? (not sure what to call it) so i had to return the small and get the large size. The screen also scratches very easy so be careful! bummer you can't wear this in the shower, but it's a great time to recharge! Overall, this has been a fun product to track my daily activities and keeps me motivated! since i loved it so much, i did purchase the aria scale that syncs wonderfully together! very user friendly for those who are electronically challenged! .

Fitbit Hr Pretty Great

The Fitbit Hr quickly became one of my favorite purchases. It's nice looking and not too bulky. I had bought the Apple Watch mainly to track my activity and heart rate but it was too big and too expensive for what I wanted it to do. So then I got this, it's great with tracking my activity and my favorite thing is the heart rate tracker and my sleep tracking. It shows you how many times you awoke and were restless during the night which ended up explaining why sometimes I feel so tired in the morning. An added bonus is the vibration when you are getting a call, I didn't think I would care for it but the gentle vibration alerting you of a call comes in handy for a person like me who always has their phone on Silent. Overall a great buy, although the I wish the battery lasted a little longer. I believe it said 3-5 days but it's more like 2-3.

I have been very pleased with my Fitbit Charge HR. It does a great job of counting steps, keeping track of heart rate and tracking sleep. Not to mention how much I like the Fitbit app. I've even stopped using the Nike Running app in favor of the Fit bit app. I love the exercise tracking, with mile splits, heart rate graphs, using the phone GPS and music....
My only complaint is it's performance during P90X workouts. While the Charge HR does a great job of tracking HR during walks, runs, and normal every day activity, it does an okay job during P90X leg workouts (probably 10-20 bpm low) and is almost useless during upper body workouts with a lot of arm movement.
I would definitely recommend it to most everyone. It works flawlessly for steady state exercise (running), just know that it won't work nearly as well during high intensity interval workouts (P90X).

Great gadget. It tracks heart rate, steps, and sleep pattern. Disapointed that the instructions were not included, but directed you to online. The sizing is made to fit tight to your wrist so dont think that larger is necessarily better.

Pre-Released Charge HR
Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
I have the pre-released Charge HR (CHR). I have been wearing it along with my Polar Heart Rate Monitor (the chest strap and watch, which is 98% accurate). I also continue to wear my old Fitbit One which was very accurate with step counts except for while driving. In comparison, my Fitbit CHR has been very close to accuracy in both heart rate and steps (still counts steps while driving but not as many as the Fitbit One). My heart rate is usually within +/- 7 points of my Polar HRM when I am at rest, and while exercising on a treadmill, I found it to be within +/- 3 points! My only complaints so far are: (1) The heart rate sensor seems to suction my skin. It is not painful but leaves an imprint on my wrist, like when you fall asleep and wake up with marks on your face. Again, these marks are not painful and do go away after about 15-20 minutes. It's just an odd sensation when I take the Fitbit CHR off and feel my skin disconnect from the sensor. (2) The strap is smaller than expected. I am 5'1 and weigh 110 lbs. I have very small wrists (5.5 inches). If worn the way Fitbit recommends (somewhat loose), the size small is only left with about 1 inch of strap. If worn tightly but comfortably, I am on the middle hole (5th hole) and left with maybe 1.5 inches of strap. Now imagine if you don't have a bony, tiny wrist like me. The small would barely fit! On top of that, I'm wondering whose wrist would be smaller than mine when my wrist that uses up half the strap. Is the size small made for kids? Interesting... Lastly, (3), the top of the watch is rigid and wider than my wrist so it sticks out along the sides of my wrists. It's a little awkward at first but I got used to it after a few hours. Despite these cons, I love the Fitbit CHR so far. I would give it 4.5 stars if I could.

A little bulky but you quickly get used to it. I do find that the tap feature sometimes doesn't work as quickly as I would like. I also was disappointed when reading pamphlet that it's not water proof. I was told by Best Buy associate that it was waterproof and I could swim with it and that was the main reason I bought this one instead of other brands. It is splash proof but not recommended for use in water.
However this watch makes it easy to want to be fit. I use the app and find myself logging food and checking my steps more than ever. I also sleep with it on and it logs sleep automatically. Really love this thing!

My wife is into the fitness trend (and is doing well so far by losing 50lbs)........ so this means that I must be into the fitness thing. I am not a fan of the gadgets and apps but I must say, this one is simple and does what it should. It tells me total steps, number of stairs, heart rate, sleep patterns. I find myself trying to outdo my totals - and the group challenges help too. Smart move wife, smart move. The band seems flimsy though. But I would get another if it broke.
