I got this for my wife to help her be more active. It was easy to link to the Samsung Galaxy S5. She loves the notifications and the alarm setting for waking up in the morning. The size chart on the box was spot on. It would have been nice if the store had non-functioning models in each size. I was a bit leery of buying a wearable device without even a fit test, but as I said the chart was spot on. The HR (heart rate) monitor is why I selected this particular model and it works OK. I first thought she had to wear it pretty tight for the monitor to work but that wasn't the case. She wears it all the time except for showering and bathing. I hope this helps someone.

I had the Fitbit Flex, but really wanted to add heart rate and stairs climbed to my data. The Charge HR completely fits the bill for me. I cycle also but have found the Fitbit devices (both Charge HR and Flex) record steps while I'm riding, so I leave it at home when I ride. I'd like a tracker that I can use for everything (cycling, swimming, etc in addition to walking.)

Great product. Accurate heart rate monitor. Great for measuring steps.

Its really cool. I primarily use it to monitor my stress/heartrate and sleep quality. The app is great and saves your progress since the beginning and saves it on their site so you never lose it. Battery life is 3-5 days. Make sure you don't use auto sync in the settings to save battery. It syncs when you open the app. App needs Bluetooth. But DON'T get it wet!

During the day, at night, climbing stairs, just about any form of exercise you will have the activity recorded. Not only on the device but the app on your phone will also supply you with plenty of information. You can even set a calorie number that you want to burn and it will calculate the percentage of how well you are doing. It has a well thought out processer.

Review on the Charge HR: Well Ive used this for 10 days now, the HR function is nice. I did have a few times that i checked my HR and there was no number or not moving. and then I wonder if its cal burn will also be off. i know couple of times where I checked my HR and it said i was over 124 but then when you looked at the app HR chart the highest it would show was 100. Step count seams to be the same as my flex was. I think it has a better accuracy. I like the watch style band. I'm wearing mine up higher on my arm. I did notice last night that my arm is sore and is red not sure if it's a rash or not sore to the touch though. End of day calorie burns seams to be inline with my flex over all I believe. Unless you need the phone options and a GPS then get the surge. best value is the charge HR in my opinion. For an extra 20.00 over the charge. It's a great value. It’s nice to be able to see during your work out the number of minutes your heart rate is in the fat burn zone or cardio or peak HR. I would buy it again.

I had previously owned the Fitbit flex, but wanted a few more bells and whistles without getting something overly pricey, and this is perfect! I love the fact that I can track my heart rate throughout a workout (it may not be as accurate as having a strap, but it gets the job done)! I also like that it is a watch strap, as opposed to the strap that the flex has.

I have been very happy with my purchase of the fitbit charge HR. My favorite feature would have to be the heart rate monitor. It helps me to stay in the zone I need to be at while taking all my different group classes. I enjoy the step counting as well and especially the competitive feature with friends. It makes me want to be even more active than I already am.

I did get a rash from the band, but it went away after a day or two - I think it reacted with some lotion I had on. I will say that if you don't download the app, the fitbit itself is not worth the price - I get so sweaty that it can't do instant HR readings, but I like that I can go back in the app and analyze my workouts and sleep.

I have had a band before that only counted steps and supposedly calories but once I got the Fitbit charge HR I will never purchase another tracking band again. It works amazing. The Fitbit counts my steps, calories, calories while sleeping, when I am awake or asleep, has a silent alarm built in if activated, and really easy to use. I definitely recommend this item!!

This was purchased for my wife as a gift, she is very happy with it. as a coincidence she had a mild heart ailment since the purchase and the Fit Bit has become invaluable in her tracking her vitals.

Easy to use, accurate and comfortable ..... Little pricey but worth it

I really like my Charge HR. It is useful and easy to use. I will be trying to sell my small and purchasing a large. From the Fit Bit website sizing info, it says that I need a small. While it fits well, like I'd wear a watch, a Fit Bit is supposed to be a bit loose. Can't wait for a new one!
