A sale finally prompted me to try the Fitbit Charge HR - I absolutely wanted the Heart Rate tracking. The good: It records sleep time, heart rate, number of steps, distance, and integrates with My Fitness Pal app, and at a reasonable price (if on sale). The bad: It's not very comfortable, and the square edges of the band sometimes dig into the wrist. It took way to much trial and error to get it to report the current heart rate, vs. just showing the "resting" rate. And the changes required to make that work seem to be shortening the battery life significantly. It seems to get a maximum of 60 hours (2.5 days), although I'm just now in the pattern of charging it for the few minutes a day I'm in the shower, and it seems to be manageable. It does what it advertises, other than battery life, and seems reliable. But would I buy again? Probably - though I wish I'd waited a few months longer for the new Fitbit alta band - looks a lot more comfortable and less obtrusive looking.

I received my fitbit for Christmas and I love it. It does a great job tracking my sleep, steps, heart rate. I absolutely love the silent alarm feature. Initially I had a Garmin vivo, but even though the band was pretty good I did not like the app. The App for the fit bit is really easy to use and tracks data very well.

I have had the fitbit charge hr for two months now, and I have not had any problems with it. The only bad thing about it, might be that it needs to be charged every other day, but you can just let it charge while you shower since it can't get wet anyway. I really like the sleep tracker. You can let it know when you're trying to sleep, and it'll tell you how long it took you to fall asleep, or if you accidentally fall asleep during the day, it'll know and track that. It is really beneficial to see how much you actually slept. The heart rate feature is cool, but it was not something that I really needed. I went with this one because of the latch on the wristband. It is a secure fit, and I am happy to pay a little extra so that I know I won't lose it. My mom likes it too, and I will probably end up buying one for her for Christmas.

Purchased my charge hr in late January. Since then, I've recommended this product to several of my friends. We use the app to monitor each other's fitness goals and ""taunt" members of our group if he/she didn't have an active day/week. Fitbit keeps me honest about my activity. Towards the middle of my day, I know if I'll need to go home and run 3 miles to accomplish my goals or at minimum, keep up with my group. It also made me aware that I needed to add to my one hour of ballet barre 4 days a week to burn a sufficient amount of calories for weight loss. With a balanced diet, exercise, and Fitbit to aid in monitoring calories burned/steps/flights of stairs/water intake/heart rate- my body is changing and I'm loving the results. Charge HR also has a gps that will track miles run, give you motivation along the way, and vibrate when you've accomplished your goals. It monitors your sleep patterns and sends you notifications throughout the day as you reach badges//milestones. I like the positive reinforcement and weekly emails letting me know my progress.

I have had this for about a month or so. I have a child size wrist and the SMALL band is nearly too small, but that is good because there isn't much overhang for the end of the strap to catch on. I like that the band the end of the strap goes into locks into the strap and keeps from slipping off. I like how the device monitors sleep and stairs. It is a little uncomfortable to sleep in. I have had to alter my favorite position to fall asleep in because the face is kind of hard. I have not had the opportunity to compare it to my polar strap for accuracy in the heart rate monitor department yet. I am hoping to get to that in the next couple of weeks. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase. I would recommend them make the small band a shade bit longer; and maybe rounding out the face or making it a little more square so it fits on the wrist in a more ergonomic fashion. Right now my device hangs over both sides of my wrist in an unnatural oblong rectangular shape.

my favorite part is the new heart rate monitor no more chest strap!!! And it's so addicting trying to get my steps in each day. Every day is a competition! The only thing I wish they had a medium size... Small just fits and large is too big.

I previously had the fitbit flex, which I enjoyed, but it was just not very durable (had to be replaced 2 times in one year, although fitbit does do that for free!). I love this new charge HR- huge upgrade for only $50 more dollars! The stair counter is very accurate, as is the heart rate monitor. Comfortable fit and no risk of falling off like the flex. The purple is a great color. Only downside is that it is not waterproof, but I think that this tracker is better than other waterproof ones, so it's still worth it! Fitbit is also a great company and has a generous replacement policy.

It is very accurate for steps, you can calibrate to make sure of this. Heart Rate tracking is a wonderful tool as well. Customer Service from FitBit is excellent. Overall, this meets my needs for tracking my exercise, heart rate and sleep patterns which is what I bought it for.

Tracks my heart rate during my TRX workouts, during hikes, tracks my sleeping habits. Only complaint is that it has to be on tight for it not to slide on my arm, I'm very tall and thin so something to keep in mind.

I was pleased that Best Buy carried the charger in the small size. I like tracking heart beat and my favorite part is the way it band hooks like a belt. I have not had it fall off. My flex constantly fell off and I lost it twice. But the HR does everything the flex did and more And it stays on my wrist.

The Fitbit charge hr is easy to use, lightweight, tracks HR, sleep activity, cals burned, steps taken and flights climbed. I don't feel the heart rate tracker is correct some of the time and it sometimes stop tracking during a workout when you want to know what your HR is.

I have been pleased with my Fitbit Charge HR for the most part. It seems to keep a pretty accurate step count and has done remarkably well in helping to track my sleep. My one complaint is that the battery life could be better...other than that, it has been a good purchase.

Love the heart rate monitor and the step and stair tracker. Also, records sleep time. The only down size is it does not track elliptical workout steps so if I work out for 2 miles on elliptical it is not showing my steps. Other than that it is an amazing tracker.

So far my FitBit has proven to be everything I wanted it to be. The only problem I have had is that it doesn't register when I do the stairs in my home. Not sure why, but everything else seems to be very accurate. Especially love the sleep and heart rate info.

I needed something to teack my pulse and sleep. Fitbit Charge HR is great at doing that -- and it captures exercise as well. Im very satisfied. My only concrrn is the battery life, because it must must be recharged every 3-4 days, but it even sends me an email message when it is running low.

Great product, limited battery life but well recommended. I have now bought 3 of these for myself and others. Love the features of tracking steps, HR and so on, along with using a timer during workouts. The fitbit app is also useful in tracking sleep, steps, HR through periods of time.

I got this to replace my regular fitbit charge. I like that it had the heart rate monitor which seems to be fairly accurate and I like the regular watch band closure much better than the snap. It feels more secure especially during rigorous workouts. The only drawback and main reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the battery life is way shorter due to the heart rate monitor. I know I can shut it off but what's the point of having the monitor function then? Overall, I would recommend it. Fun and comfortable.

Very satisfied with the Fitbit HR for tracking how many steps taken daily and distance walked each day, plus heart rate tracker. Does a good job of tracking your movements on your IPhone. Would like to see a longer time before needing to charge it again..

Since getting my Fitbit Charge HR I have already stepped up my level of activity each day, often subconsciously. When I get near one of my goals in the evening, I'll go out of my way to get those extra steps or stairs in. The app is very user-friendly and the design is nice. The Badges for attaining Daily or Lifetime totals are a great idea, and also motivational. I also like the feature in which you can invite your friends who also have any style Fitbit to share their step stats with you, and you can "compete" for the daily or weekly total. The tracker itself is not uncomfortable, but hopefully the next iteration will be thinner so as to fit under sleeves a little better. It's great that you can customize the readout, and the battery seems to last as stated (it also charges very fast in under 2 hours). It seems to be water-resistant as stated, but I have not taken a shower with it as that is not recommended. All in all, highly recommended product!

Very good tool for tracking daily steps, heart rate and sleep patterns. The online dashboard makes it easy to watch my progress over time and to see the effects of my workouts on my resting heart rate (coming down) and my weekly/monthly distance walked.
