Best tracker I have used so far

I have been using the black fitbit charge HR everyday for a few months now. After trying the up23, up2, fitbit, and Garmin I have found this one to be the best overall. It is comfortable to wear, and doesn't feel awkward or bulky on your wrist. The HR is a great feature but only records HR about 50% of the time when you are actually running (the directions say to keep your arm still, which can be difficult while running) but works well otherwise. I compared the steps and HR measurements with other devices and found the fitbit to be pretty accurate most if the time. The battery life is excellent, I only need to charge it once every 5-6 days. Charges fast. Cleaning is easy, there is no grime buildup if you wear it continuously (I just rinse it in the shower). The fit bit app is well designed and very user friendly. However the fit bit does not give you as much detail about sleep as the Jawbone, the fitbit will tell you how often you wake up or are restless during the night, but if your up for more than 5 minutes it will break up your # of sleep hours recorded and won't give you an accurate total for the night.
Other than that, the fit bit has held up well to the daily abuse I put it through and still works and looks great.

Bad fit for small wrists

I have small wrists, and according to the sizing chart on the box, the small size should have fit me, but they were taped up tight and I could not try one on before I bought it.. Unfortunately, the band is too bulky and I have a big gap because it cannot wrap around due to the stiffness of the display side. And if I do try to tighten it up to get rid of the gap, I get indentations from it being too tight and it is very uncomfortable. I wish I would have pushed the employee to let me try it on first. I hope that FitBit can fix this flaw and make the band more pliable to fit more comfortably.

This product is great. it measures heart rate, floors climbed, steps taken, miles gone, and calories burned. the app and website are great and go into more detail about all of the above items that you did for the day. this fitbit can also track calories eaten and you can challenge your friends to step challenges for the day week or weekend. my coworkers and I enjoy competing against each other

Great all-day fitness tracker!

Picked this up for my GF as a supplement to her Samsung Gear S. The Gear S is great for run tracking, but it so big and bulky it isn't something you can wear to track sleeping, or as an every day fitness tracker. This is light and comfortable to wear and is perfect to wear around all day and while sleeping.

Not accurate & hurts my wrist

I just bought my Fitbit Charge HR over the weekend. After 3 days, I have noticed 2 items that resulted in my only "average" rating.
1. It is not 100% accurate when it comes to stairs or sleep. I woke up last night 2 x's and went both down and up stairs twice. the fit bit didn't count either stairs and only counted 1 wake mode.
2. I have very small wrists, and although I have it on only the 4th from the end band hole, it hurts the top of my wrist. As a matter of fact, my wrist feels a bit "bruised". Even loosening the strap still pains my wrist a bit.
I will give it a few more days, but so far the product is not as I had hoped.

Not bad, but pretty disappointed

Now granted I have only had the Charge HR for a week now. But have found that most kinds of hand movement will register as steps (doing chores around the house, laundry, even driving). Did not have much of an issue with my Withings Pulse and it adding movements from my arm. I did a step comparison with my iPhone 6 in my pocket all day and the Charge HR registered almost 2000 more steps then my iPhone. Knowing what I did that day, I would say the iPhone was the winner. After reading some reviews I was very concerned about the Heart Rate accuracy. But so far I am pretty pleased with it. Not a fan of the fit. Since you have to keep it higher on your arm for more accurate HR monitoring, I find myself continuously pushing it back up my arm throughout the day. Especially now in the winter, when I am taking jackets on and off. I really wanted this to be the one. But I will most likely return this for a chest strap HR monitor and a basic fitness tracker.

Great item for all active and health conscious

Works well, tracks useful range of activities for those that are on an exercise routine, just on the go or health conscious. Easy for gismo/tech savvy users. Not so savvy users can catch on easy enough, too, after Bluetooth is paired. Displays may vary by type of phone/device its paired to. Good device for older users to track heart rate and sleep patterns

I purchased this as a gift for my mom. We did return the small to exchange for the large, which I was surprised she felt discomfort, because she has really tiny wrists. Once she got the large, she has been an unstoppable force to reach her daily step goal. Its a great motivational tool, especially with the daily and weekly challenges in the fitbit app.

Good Product but Poor Battery

The tracker is very good, mostly accurate for activities like running and other standard exercises like elliptical, stairs etc. However, the battery only last 1-2 days without notifications and silent alarms. Contacted Fitbit support regarding this. They asked me to remove Quick View Gesture option to improve battery life. Even after removing notifications, silent alarms and quick view gestures, the battery does not last 2 days. Also, updated the Firmware and still no luck with the battery life. After all the back and forth with the the Customer Service, they are still not ready to acknowledge that there is an issue with the battery.

Works for me.

I am a fitness beginner and wanted something to monitor my steps and my sleep patterns. The Charge HR works perfectly for me. I am technologically challenged and this was very easy to get going and use consistently. Only needs charged every 3 days or so. The app on my phone syncs perfectly with this and I use the weight and calorie calculator as well. The only possible negative is that I did not measure my wrist before purchasing the small band. I have pretty skinny wrists despite being overweight. The band just barely fit. It has stretched out over the course of 4 months and now it fits pretty well. I love the Charge HR and will buy another on when this one goes kaput.

I absolutely love this thing! I bought one for me and my girlfriend so that we could get in better shape and it's definitely helping. I'm more cognoscenti of my hear rate and try everyday to meet my goals. I like that you can set alarms and it'll buzz you someone is calling if you are bluetooth connected.

Just wasn't the one for me

I purchased this fitness watch for all its features, specifically the HR monitor. I wanted to like this, but it just wasn't for me. In order to get a reading the watch has to be tight enough around your wrist. Unfortunately, by doing so, it was as if I had constant pressure around my wrist, that I was dying to take it off after 2 hours. I even loosened it and the pressure on the top of my wrist was the same, but now space on the side of the watch.
Also, counting steps was inaccurate. It said I had 900+ steps after 2 hrs, which was not possible. Then it dawned on me if the watch was counting my hand movements as steps and it sure was. From the settings it says to designate your dominate hand, but I use both my hands, so not sure if there was more tricks to get this accurate.
As for the HR and sleep monitor, I cannot attest to its accuracy as I had nothing to compare for the HR and couldn't leave it on my wrist long enough to determine my sleeping patterns.
I did perform a few workouts when I did have the watch and I found it annoying to have to click the button to see my HR or calories burned.
Thus I returned and ended up getting a HR monitor with the strap and love it! If you are a women and wear sports bra, you really won't feel the strap.

My wife had been wanting a Fitbit since she started an exercise regime so I surprised her with this for Christmas. Setup is very easy, syncing to the computer is a breeze. The tracking of her walks, heartbeat is amazing. Got her the plum model so it has a nice look and is very slim.

This is awesome! I love that it captures steps, floors, calories burned (definitely off a bit), and can incorporate the food diary. My fiance and I bought them to challenge and motivate each other! Highly recommend!

I went from a fitbit flex, to a fitbit surge (which was too big for my wrist) and then finally landed on this Fitbit Charge HR.
Pro:
It's the perfect size for my small wrist. I love being able to see the time, incoming phone calls, and my heart rate. My heart rate is pretty accurate. and the sleep feature is amazing as well.
Con:
I wish I could interchange the bands. My screen has been scratched. And it also counts steps when I clap my hands (I found this out at a concert.)
Overall this is an awesome activity tracker and I would highly recommend it.

Great, simplistic fitness tracker. Was torn between this and Microsoft Band, due to more features on Band, but I didn't want to charge every other day, and this is comfortable, tracks activities, calories in/out well, good enough for sleep tracking, and love call notification.

This has a very accurate step counter and has the best heart rate monitor I have used. The sleep tracker is probably the best I have used.
I have had it for two months and have had no issues. Initially I purchased one for my girlfriend in June and she loves hers as well.

I have been using a Fitbit Flex, but I wanted something that would track my heart rate and calorie count more accurately. I am so far impressed with the Charge. I am still learning things about it. I like the fact that when I charge it; I can switch to my flex.

I am definitely happy with my charge HR. I used to have the flex, so upgrading to this has been so nice. My favorite part is the heart rate monitor feature to more accurately give you your calorie burn and it is a good motivating factor for me to burn more. My only concern with this fitbit is that because the charging port is so exposed, I worry that sweat will eventually kill it. FYI: it was a little uncomfortable in the beginning getting used to the thicker band, but after a week, you're all good.
