I'm new to the whole fitness thing. I had originally purchased the Fitbit Charge HR and was impressed however while it pushed phone calls it did not push texts. The Surge pushes calls and texts. While I'm working I can quickly turn my wrist instead of logging into my phone. It had a little large of a profile for my tastes but I love the step counter, stair counter, heart rate monitor and the sleep monitor. I've learned so much about myself physically and how to improve. I also LOVE the Fitbit app for my phone. Gives me a clear view of calories in/out and what I have left for the rest of the day. As I do more activities the calories allowed is also updated.

The only thing I don't like is that the battery life goes fast. It said it would last about 5 days but I have to charge it about every 3 days. Easy to use and syncs with Weight Watchers.

i wanted a watch that would keep up with steps and heart rate mostly for exercise, with my age. It works great and keeps up with heart rate. I take way more steps now with this watch.

I have used the standard fitbit and the Fitbit charge in the past. The Charge HR is an upgrade to the Charge, which I liked for the detailed information I can get on the screen, sleep tracker and the ability to see incoming phone callers on the watch when connected.
What I like most about the Fitbit Charge HR besides the added Heartrate monitor is the strap which is similar to a watch strap. I had problems with prior fitbit straps breaking and knocking the fitbit off while doing yardwork or putting on a backpack. The strap solves all of that and I have had no problems since owning this one.
It works great and I recommend it over the other fitbit products.

Great accuracy in counting steps, calories, flights climbed, and distance traveled. My only complaint with this product is that it asks you to wear it behind the notch on your wrist and that's pretty uncomfortable, I wear it a little differently and the only thing that isn't accurate when I do so is the heart rate measurement. All in all, I think this is one of the best fitness trackers available so far.

It appears to be accurate including, heart rate. Which very few devices have at that price. Easy to wear and comfortable. With the APP it's very versatile in tracking lot's of useful data.

I love my fitbit! It keeps me motivated and in competition with other family members. The sleep tracker is invaluable. The food plan and water tracker are great tools for weight loss.

I upgraded from the Flex, because after two years, it's functionality started getting spotty. I wasn't loving the inconsistent tracking so I upgraded to this one after hearing rave reviews from friends. This is more like a watch than the Flex, with an adjustable, more secure band. Obviously, the best part about this is not having to log into the app to see my steps because they show up with a quick tap of the face of the band (or by pressing the button on the side!). I find that I don't really use the HR function that much but like that I have the tracking data on my app. This version is more clunky than the Flex, but I found that I acclimated to t quickly.

I bought this to monitor my heartrate and sleeping patterns. I can see all this and so much more on the fitbit phone app. Very impressive app with lots of details! I like that I am able to set what order I want to see time, hr, steps, miles and calories burned, when I hit the button on the fitbit. The plum color with the pink display is classy and modern looking, a nice alternative to the usual black option. I thought it was too big when I first bought it, but you get used to it and actually feel weird when the slight weight of it isn't there. It charges in one hour and lasts about 4 days for me. I would have preferred a different option to clasp it vs. the watch band design, maybe something slimmer. Also, if you work in strong magnetic fields, your alarm vibration option will stop working when you stand next to a 3T MRI scanner. The .7T and 1.5T that I work with hadn't affected that option. I wear it all the time because our Wellness program at work allows us to link to the fitbit to get points and meet criteria for that program. All in all , it's a really good tracker!

I absolutely LOVE it! I ended up giving the large to my husband and purchased a 2nd one in a size small. I'm of medium build, but the watch does need to sit on your wrist above the wrist bone. We both have them and have been logging our food, monitoring exercise and tracking both on our laptop and cell phones. I enjoy the challenges and cheering each other on with the program available. The watch seems to not last a full week for the charge, yet approx. 3.5 to 4.0 days before needing to be recharged. The premium service is way to costly. The wrist band is durable and clicks into place for a secure fit. So far no issues and happy with the purchase.

The fitbit charger hr gives me more incentive to keep active. You can even compete against friends who also have fitbits. You just need to charge it at least once a week. No complaints.

I'm not sure how it tracks steps, but it asks you which hand it is on, then starts tracking. I have it on my non-dominate hand, but I had to tell it that it's on my dominate hand because it was too sensitive. There is a huge community out there that you can join and compete with, this is fantastic motivation to get up and get moving. The dashboard tracks a great many things including calorie intake and sleep. The food database is massive, but if your food isn't in there, you can take a pic of the nutrition facts to add it.
All in all, it's a fantastic device and awesome dashboard and features. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to get motivated to move.

I love my Fitbit, I'm always checking my stats to make sure I hit all of my goals. The bracelet is comfortable and I feel it is pretty accurate, when driving in the car a few extras steps and even some stairs will be added here and there. Only two draw backs for me personally, the screen can easily be scratched and the battery life is ok in my book. Easy fix for the screen, to prevent scratches, buy a cheap phone screen protector and cut to fit. As for the battery life, it's not horrible, but I feel like I have to charge every 3-4 days. I would definitely purchase again, great product.

Have had this Fitbit Charge for almost a year and really like everything it's suppose to do. I read a lot of reviews before getting it, at the time it seemed like the major complaint was that it needed charging sooner than was expected, not that big of a deal and I haven't had that problem. My issue is that the rubber wrist band is coming unglued from the working part. I bought a 2 year warranty and am heading to Best Buy to see about a replacement. Other than that it's just what I needed to get started, so far I've lost almost 30 pounds, that alone made it worth the price.

The Fitbit - Charge HR is easy to use and setup on a pc. Seems to be accurate, but need to do some longer walks on a measure distance course. All in all a fun, worthwhile bit of tech.
