I used my fit bit regularly. I wore it on the beach and it most have fallen off my arm and was taken out with the tide. The clasp is not secure.

Bestbuy has a very nominal price difference between this and the charge HR if you get a good deal for the HR. This is now obsolete. Returned it.

Did not have much variety and honestly there's nothing on this that one of the many devices you more than likely already have cannot do.

I find that the charge 2 is way more durable. The Fitbit charge hr worked great but It would start breaking where the straps detach.

Given as a gift to my daughter. She thought it was great based on the marketing. Not as accurate and easily to get information downloaded.

My fitbit worked ok for a few days. Didn't register treadmill steps or weight training. Had to manually enter that. After a week it started getting wonky. Would not keep time. Fitbit support had me update and reset. Nothing worked. I am returning. Hopefully replacement unit will work.

Would not sync to my daughters phone. Even the tech at Best Buy could not get it to sync. Problem with product, not Best Buy.

This is the second one I owned, the first died in less than 10 months, just had error messages on the display. I contacted Fitbit and to their credit they sent me a new replacement which about 8 months later, just died in the same way. After failing twice, I have given up on Fitbit and now own a Garmin which so far, only one month is working great with many more features for about the same price.

I got this to give me better information toward my 10,000 step goal. The things I like: I like the way it fits on my arm, not too bulky. I love the display and how you can toggle through the different indicators. I like how it looks just like a band band and not some great big "watch" on my arm. I like how it tells me when I have an incoming call. But really though, I'm not looking for a fitness band to be an extension of my cell phone. I hardly go anywhere that I don't take my phone and when I'm exercising I don't want to be interrupted by text messages or phone calls. I really just want a good fitness band to help me keep on track. I like the "My Fitness Pal" app and being able to register food. The Fitbit app looks great and I recently received an email with my stats on it. Things I don't like: The band is way to hard to get hooked together. It is very hard to push the connectors through the holes. It seems that even though I am not actually walking, the band says I've taken some steps. I found out this is due to the movement of my wrist when washing my hands. I also knit and it registers steps when I'm knitting. After a more thorough review of other products out there, I think I would like one with a heart rate monitor. I exercise and currently have a watch and chest band, which is about 5 years old. I would like to get something without the chest band that still registers your heart rate. I see that Fitbit is coming out with a Charge HR but there doesn't seem to be a release date, just "Spring 2015". I will probably be taking this back and looking for something else. I will mark it as "recommending this to a friend"...depending on what you're looking for.

This was okay, for my 12 yr old who had to have one. Problems with strap while still under waranty, sent replacement, Same problem. Then told no more replacements since unit was discontinued. Replaced with Altra which ended up being much better. If you have a need for one of these look at functionality and get the latest model.
